BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a control device that drives an AC motor at a variable speed, and more particularly to a control device that can detect the rotational speed or direction of an AC motor in a free-run state.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A system that uses an inverter to drive an AC motor at a variable speed is widely used. In such a variable speed drive system, when the AC power supply is interrupted due to an instantaneous power failure or the like, the voltage output from the inverter to the AC motor is interrupted, and the AC motor enters a free-run state. When the load on the AC motor is a wind power device such as a fan, the inertial force is large, so the AC motor that is in a free-run state does not stop for a long time and rotates by inertia for several tens of seconds to several minutes or more. Sometimes. When the AC motor in the free-run state is restarted with the inverter after the power recovery, in order to avoid the inrush current and excessive torque and restart without shock, it corresponds to the rotational speed of the AC motor in the free-run state. It is necessary to output the frequency from the inverter. For this reason, it is necessary to detect the rotational speed of the AC motor in the free-run state. When detecting the rotational speed of an AC motor, a speed sensor is usually used. However, when a speed sensor is added, there are problems such as an increase in size of the apparatus, high cost, and troublesome cable routing.

FIG. 7 is a diagram showing the configuration of a variable speed drive system as a conventional example for detecting the rotational speed of an AC motor in a free-run state, which is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-331894. The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and it is an AC that is in a low-cost, low-loss, and accurate free-run state without using an expensive and small-sized current detector. An object of the present invention is to obtain a control device capable of detecting the rotation speed or rotation direction of an electric motor.
[0010]

The residual voltage polarity detection circuit is connected via a high voltage diode having a cathode terminal connected to a connection point of the first and second switching elements constituting the series connection circuit, and connected to the negative DC bus. A cathode terminal is connected and connected via a diode biased so that the potential of the anode terminal is higher than the potential of the negative DC bus, and between the anode terminal of the high voltage diode and the anode terminal of the diode At least one phase of a voltage change between a connection point of the first and second switching elements constituting the series connection circuit and the negative DC bus of the inverter circuit as a fixed potential point. Therefore, even if the residual voltage of the

Control power supply voltage VCCA series circuit of a resistor R100 and a small signal diode D100 is connected to GND from the ground, and the small signal diode D100 is connected to the control power supply voltage VCCIs connected in the forward direction. The base terminal of the transistor Q100 is connected to the anode terminal of the small signal diode D100. Therefore, the base potential of the transistor Q100 is equal to the forward voltage V of the small signal diode D100.FOnly (D100) is a positive potential, usually about 0.6V.
[0022]
Here, when the current is positive as shown in FIG. 4A, the current flows through the freewheeling diode D2 as described above.UNIs the forward voltage V of the freewheeling diode D2.FOnly (D2) has a negative potential. Since the freewheeling diode D2 is a diode through which the main circuit current flows, its forward voltage VF(D2) is usually about 1 to 2 V, and is about 0.6 V even in a region where the current is small. Also, the forward voltage V of the small signal high voltage diode D101 for the control circuitF(D101) is the forward voltage V of the small signal diode D100.FIt is approximately 0.6 V which is almost the same as (D100).
From these relationships, when the current is positive, the voltage V of the base terminal of the transistor Q100 viewed from the anode terminal of the small signal high voltage diode D101.XIs the forward voltage V of the freewheeling diode D2.FThe voltage is approximately 0.6 to 2 V, which is substantially the same as (D2), and the base current flows through the resistor R101 in the transistor Q100. As a result, the transistor Q100 operates so as to cause the collector current to flow through the path indicated by the dotted line in FIG. 4A, and if the value of the resistor R103 is selected to be sufficiently larger than the value of R101, the voltage of the
[0023]
Further, when the current is negative as shown in FIG. 4B, since the current flows through the semiconductor switch Q2 as described above, VUNIs the on-state voltage V of the semiconductor switch Q2.CEOnly (Q2) has a positive potential. On-state voltage V of semiconductor switch Q2CE(Q2) is usually about 1 to 2 V, and is about 0.6 V even in a region where the current is small. Further, the forward voltage V of the small signal high voltage diode D101F(D101) is the forward voltage V of the small signal diode D100.FSince it is about 0.6 V which is almost the same as (D100), the voltage V of the base terminal of the transistor Q100 viewed from the anode terminal of the small signal high voltage diode D101.XBecomes a negative potential, and the base current of the transistor Q100 is cut off. [0037]
In the above description, an induction motor is described as an AC motor in a free-run state. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the same effect can be obtained as long as the AC motor can be applied to other AC motors. It is done.
[0038]
In the above description, the diode is connected in antiparallel to the first and second switching elements. However, when a parasitic diode exists inside the switching element such as an FET, the diode is connected to the first and second switching elements. The same effect can be obtained by using.

In the above description, the inverter control circuit and the frequency measuring device are described as separate components. However, part or all of the inverter control circuit and the frequency measuring device may be realized by software of a microcomputer.
