Description
Claims (13)
- 心臓の内部領域の人体組織をアブレーションするためのカテーテルであって、
ハンドル組立部と、
主内腔、前記ハンドル組立部と結合した近端、及び遠端を有するシャフトと、
前記シャフトの遠端に結合された先端部分であって、可撓性でない無孔質のキャップと、中空部を形成する管状の壁と、前記中空部に収納され前記キャップの前記壁から隔離した管状の音響エネルギーを発生するアブレーション素子と、を有する先端部分と、
前記主内腔を通って前記中空部で終了する遠端を有する注入チューブと、
を備える、カテーテル。 - 前記アブレーション素子は振動子である、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記管状の壁と前記アブレーション素子との間の前記中空部に注入流体を具備する請求項1又は2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記キャップは、開口のある閉じた先端部を有する請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記先端部分に隣接する前記シャフトの外表面に間隔をおいて取り付けた複数の環状電極を備える、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- さらに、前記シャフトの前記遠端で前記主内腔内に固定された内部スリーブ、を具備する、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- さらに、前記シャフトの前記主内腔と前記キャップの前記中空部と前記アブレーション素子内に延びる内部支持部材を備える、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- さらに、前記シャフトの前記遠端で前記主内腔内に固定された内部スリーブと、前記シャフトの前記主内腔と前記キャップの前記中空部と前記アブレーション素子内に延びる内部支持部材と、外部支持部材であって、前記シャフトの前記遠端で前記主内腔内に固定された内部スリーブを通り前記中空部へ延び、該外部支持部材内に収納された内部支持部材を有する外部支持部材を備える、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記内部支持部材は、コイル、扁平ワイヤー、あるいは、金属、合金又はポリマーで構成された棒の形態で供給される請求項7又は8に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記キャップに接続された複数の熱電対用電線を備える請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- 前記シャフトの前記主内腔内を、前記先端部の位置の手前の前記シャフトの前記遠端で終了する前記主内腔の終端まで延びるステアリング機構を備える請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載のカテーテル。
- カテーテルシステムの作動方法であって、
カテーテルと、
ポンプと、
超音波発生装置と、
を備え、
前記カテーテルは、主内腔と遠端とを有するシャフトと、前記シャフトの遠端に結合された先端部分であって、可撓性でない無孔質のキャップと、中空部を形成する管状の壁と、前記中空部に収納され前記キャップの前記壁から隔離した管状の音響エネルギーを発生するアブレーション素子と、を有する先端部分と、前記主内腔を通って延び前記中空部で終了する遠端を有する注入チューブと、を備えており、
a.前記ポンプが選択された治療領域に配置された前記先端部分の前記アブレーション素子と前記キャップとの間の前記中空部に注入流体を流すステップと、
b.前記超音波発生装置が前記アブレーション素子にエネルギーを供給して、前記アブレーション素子から、前記注入流体と前記キャップを通って放射状に音響エネルギーを発生させるステップと、
を備える方法。 - 前記ステップa.は、前記ポンプが前記注入流体の流量を変化させるステップを備える請求項12に記載の方法。
