Claims (2)
- 自車に搭載されて自車進行方向前方に存在する先行車との距離を検知可能なレーダー装置(Sa)と、
自車の車速を検出する車速センサ(Sb)と、
検出された車速がほぼ停車状態を示す所定の閾値以下の場合に、前記レーダー装置(Sa)の送信出力を走行時送信出力よりも低い停車時送信出力とする送信出力制御手段(M1)と、
前記レーダー装置(Sa)による検知結果に基づいて先行車に対する追従走行制御を行う追従走行制御手段(M2)と、
を備えた車両の走行制御装置において、
自車停車中に前記レーダー装置(Sa)により自車と先行車との距離の増加が検出された場合、あるいは自車停車時に前記レーダー装置(Sa)により検知された先行車との距離が所定値よりも大きい場合に、乗員に対して追従走行制御が可能なことを報知する報知手段(M3)と、乗員による追従走行制御開始の指令操作を検出する検出手段(Sd)とを備え、
前記追従走行制御手段(M2)は、前記報知手段(M3)により報知が行われた場合に自車を微小距離前進移動させる微小距離移動制御を行い、
前記送信出力制御手段(M1)は、前記微小距離移動制御中に前記レーダー装置(Sa)の送信出力を前記停車時送信出力よりも増加させるとともに、
前記追従走行制御手段(M2)は、前記微小距離移動制御中に乗員による追従走行制御開始の指令操作が検出された場合に先行車に対する追従走行制御を開始することを特徴とする車両の走行制御装置。 - 前記送信出力制御手段(M1)は、前記微小距離移動制御中に乗員による追従走行制御開始の指令操作が検出されない場合には、前記微小距離移動制御終了時に前記レーダー装置(Sa)の送信出力を前記停車時送信出力とすることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の車両の走行制御装置。
