Claims (5)
- 複数の発光素子を配列して構成される発光素子アレイと、
前記発光素子アレイを形成する複数の発光素子のうち1個ずつ主走査方向及び副走査方向にずらして設けられたn(n>1)個の前記発光素子により1画素に対応する潜像画像を形成する様に前記複数の発光素子の駆動を制御すると共に、前記n個の発光素子の駆動エネルギーがそれぞれ異なる駆動エネルギーとなる様に前記n個の発光素子の駆動を制御することで前記n個の発光素子による前記潜像画像の各ドットの大きさをそれぞれ異ならせる駆動制御部とを備えること
を特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記発光素子アレイによる副走査方向の解像度をmとしたときに、
前記n個の発光素子を構成する前記各発光素子は、隣接する前記発光素子と解像度m×nに相当する距離だけ副走査方向にずれて形成されたこと
を特徴とする請求項1記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記駆動制御部は、前記n個の発光素子の駆動時間がそれぞれ異なる駆動時間となる様に前記発光素子の駆動を制御すること
を特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2の何れかの項記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記駆動制御部は、前記発光素子の駆動時間を決定するストローブ信号を発生させるストローブ信号発生部を備え、
前記ストローブ信号発生部は、前記n個の発光素子に入力する前記ストローブ信号のパルス幅がそれぞれ異なるパルス幅となる様に前記ストローブ信号を発生させること
を特徴とする請求項3記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記発光素子は、LED素子であること
を特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4の何れかの項記載の画像形成装置。
