Description
(1)芯金の端部を除く該芯金上に弾性体基層を形成する工程と、
(2)該工程(1)で得た、弾性体基層を形成した芯金を表層塗料に浸漬させて該表層塗料を塗工する工程とを有し、
該工程(2)は、該工程(1)で得た弾性体基層を形成した芯金の端部に塗工キャップを装着して該芯金の端部と該弾性体基層の端面とを該塗工キャップで覆い、次いで該芯金を該塗工キャップを装着した側を下に向けて該表層塗料に突入させる工程を含み、
該塗工キャップは、該芯金の端部に装着したときに、該弾性体基層の端面とエッジで接し、かつ、該弾性体基層と該芯金との境目には該キャップが接しないような空間ができるように構成されており、さらに
該塗工キャップは、該弾性体基層と接する側とは反対側において、その直径が小さくなるような流線型形状を有していることを特徴とする帯電ローラーの製造方法が提供される。
本発明の導電性ローラーは、導電性支持体と、該導電性支持体上に設けられた導電性弾性体基層と、該導電性弾性体基層上に設けられた表層とを有する。
図34に導電性ローラーの一つの実施の形態である帯電ローラー6を用いた画像形成装置を示す。像担持体である感光体ドラム5は矢印の方向に回転しながら、帯電ローラー6によって一次帯電され、次に露光手段により露光11が照射され静電潜像が形成される。現像手段である現像ローラー4上の薄層になったトナーは、トナー帯電ローラー29で帯電され、次いで感光体ドラム5の表面と接触することによって、静電潜像が現像され、可視化したトナー像が形成される。
本発明は、導電性ローラーに直流電圧を印加することにより、被帯電体を帯電させる帯電方法を提供する。
本発明は、像担持体と、前記像担持体上に形成された静電潜像にトナーを転移させて可視化しトナー像を形成させる現像手段と、前記被転写部材にトナー像が転写された後に前記像担持体上に残留したトナーを除去するクリーニング手段と、から選ばれる1つ又は2つ以上が、導電性ローラーと一体に支持され、画像形成装置から着脱自在に構成されているプロセスカートリッジである。
<帯電ローラーの作製>
(1)導電性弾性体基層の調製
エピクロルヒドリンゴム(商品名:エピクロマーCG102、ダイソー(株)製)100質量部、充填剤としての炭酸カルシウム30質量部、滑剤としてのステアリン酸亜鉛1質量部、研磨性改善のための補強材としての着色グレードカーボン(商品名:シーストSO、東海カーボン製)4質量部、酸化亜鉛5質量部、可塑剤として、セバシン酸とプロピレングリコールの共重合体(分子量8000)を5質量部、下記式で示される過塩素酸4級アンモニウム塩2質量部、老化防止剤としての2−メルカプトベンズイミダゾール1質量部をオープンロールで20分間混練し、更に、加硫促進剤としてのDM(2−ベンゾチアゾリルジサルファイド)1質量部、加硫促進剤としてのTS(テトラメチルチウラムモノサルファイド)0.5質量部、加硫剤としての硫黄1.2質量部を加えて更に15分間オープンロールで混練した。
導電性酸化スズ粉体(商品名:SN−100P、石原産業(株)製)50質量部に、トリフルオロプロピルトリメトキシシランの1%イソプロピルアルコール溶液を500質量部と平均粒径0.8mmのガラスビーズ300質量部を加え、ペイントシェーカで70時間分散後、分散液を500メッシュの網で濾過し、次にこの溶液をナウターミキサーで攪拌しながら100℃の湯浴で暖めてアルコールを飛ばして乾燥させ、表面にシランカップリング剤を付与し表面処理導電性酸化スズ粉体を得た。
画像評価
本試験で使用した電子写真式レーザプリンタはA4縦出力用のマシンで、記録メディアの出力スピードは、100mm/secと30mm/secの2種類、画像の解像度は600dpiである。
塗工キャップの形状を図28(b)の様な閉じた円筒形とした以外は実施例1と同様にして比較例1のローラーを塗工した。
塗工キャップは比較例1と同様のものを使用し、1回目、2回目の塗工ともに、塗工から3時間後にキャップを外した。
実施例1の塗工液をロータリーエバポレータを使用して溶剤を飛ばして濃縮し、粘度を350mPa・sとした以外は、実施例1と同様の塗工液を使用した。また、塗工キャップに比較例1の塗工キャップを使用した。
Claims (1)
- 芯金と、該芯金上に形成された弾性体基層と、該弾性体基層の上に形成された表層とを有する帯電ローラーの製造方法であって、
(1)芯金の端部を除く該芯金上に弾性体基層を形成する工程と、
(2)該工程(1)で得た、弾性体基層を形成した芯金を表層塗料に浸漬させて該表層塗料を塗工する工程とを有し、
該工程(2)は、該工程(1)で得た弾性体基層を形成した芯金の端部に塗工キャップを装着して該芯金の端部と該弾性体基層の端面とを該塗工キャップで覆い、次いで該芯金を該塗工キャップを装着した側を下に向けて該表層塗料に突入させる工程を含み、
該塗工キャップは、該芯金の端部に装着したときに、該弾性体基層の端面とエッジで接し、かつ、該弾性体基層と該芯金との境目には該キャップが接しないような空間ができるように構成されており、さらに
該塗工キャップは、該弾性体基層と接する側とは反対側において、その直径が小さくなるような流線型形状を有していることを特徴とする帯電ローラーの製造方法。
