Description
即ち、
内燃機関と電動機との2種類の動力源で走行するハイブリッド車両に適用する内燃機関の排気浄化システムであって、
前記内燃機関の排気通路に設けられた排気浄化触媒と、
前記排気通路における前記排気浄化触媒よりも下流側に設けられ該排気通路の流路断面積を変更可能な排気絞り弁と、
前記内燃機関の燃料噴射量を増量して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第1触媒暖機手段と、
前記燃料噴射量が増量された後のエンジントルクと前記電動機によるアシストトルクとの和が要求トルクに略等しくなるように該アシストトルクを調節するアシスト量調節手段と、
前記排気絞り弁の開度を閉弁方向に制御して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第2触媒暖機手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする。
制御が実行されても良い。「暖機実行要求温度」とは排気浄化触媒の活性温度に所定のマージンを見込んだ温度であって、触媒温度がこの温度以下となる場合には排気中の有害物質の浄化作用が低下すると判断される温度である。
度との温度差が所定の上限温度差を超えないように設定されても良い。「所定の上限温度差」とは、流入排気温度が触媒温度に比べてこの温度差だけ高くなるように燃料噴射量を増量させても排気エミッションが悪化する虞がないと判断できる流入排気温度と触媒温度との温度差の上限値であって、実験的に求めておいても良い。
図1は本実施例に係る内燃機関の排気浄化システムが適用されるハイブリッド車両のシステム構成を示すブロック図である。この本システムはハイブリッド車両の主動力として機能するエンジン1、補助動力として機能するモータジェネレータ(以下、単に「MG」
という。)2、本システム全体を制御するメインECU3、トランスミッション(T/M)4、トランスミッション(T/M)ECU5、バッテリ6、インバータ7、バッテリECU8から構成されている。
図2は本実施例における内燃機関の排気浄化システムの概略構成を示す図である。図2に示すエンジン1は、4つの気筒12を有するディーゼルエンジンである。エンジン1には、気筒12の燃焼室に直接燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁13を各気筒に備えている。本実施例においてはエンジン1が本発明における内燃機関に相当する。
エンジン1には、吸気マニホールド18が接続されており、吸気マニホールド18の各枝管は吸気ポートを介して各気筒12の燃焼室と連通されている。吸気マニホールド18と吸気通路19との接続部近傍には、吸気通路19内を流通する吸気の流量を調節可能な第1吸気絞り弁21が設けられている。また、吸気通路19における第1吸気絞り弁21よりも上流側には、吸気通路19を流れるガスを冷却するインタークーラ14が設けられている。
る。そして、吸気マニホールド18に流入した吸気は、各吸気ポート(図示省略)を介して各気筒12に分配される。各気筒12に分配された吸気は燃料噴射弁13から噴射された燃料を着火源として燃焼される。
エンジン1には排気マニホールド28が接続されており、排気マニホールド28の各枝管は排気ポート(図示省略)を介して各気筒12の燃焼室と接続されている。排気マニホールド28にはターボチャージャ17のタービンハウジング17bが接続されている。このタービンハウジング17bには排気通路29が接続されており、排気通路29は下流にてマフラー(図示省略)に接続されている。
エンジン1には、排気通路29における排気浄化装置20よりも下流側を通過する排気の一部を吸気通路19におけるコンプレッサハウジング17aよりも上流側に再循環させるEGR装置30が設けられている。このEGR装置30は、排気通路29における排気
絞り弁23よりも下流側の部分と吸気通路19におけるコンプレッサハウジング17aよりも上流側であって且つ第2吸気絞り弁22よりも下流側の部分とを接続するEGR通路31と、EGR通路31内を流れる排気(以下、「EGRガス」という。)の流量を調節可能なEGR弁32と、EGR通路31におけるEGR弁32よりも上流側を流れるEGRガスを冷却するEGRクーラ33とを備えている。

Claims (6)
- 内燃機関と電動機との2種類の動力源で走行するハイブリッド車両に適用する内燃機関の排気浄化システムであって、
前記内燃機関の排気通路に設けられた排気浄化触媒と、
前記排気通路における前記排気浄化触媒よりも下流側に設けられ該排気通路の流路断面積を変更可能な排気絞り弁と、
前記内燃機関の燃料噴射量を増量して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第1触媒暖機手段と、
前記燃料噴射量が増量された後のエンジントルクと前記電動機によるアシストトルクとの和が要求トルクに略等しくなるように該アシストトルクを調節するアシスト量調節手段と、
前記排気絞り弁の開度を閉弁方向に制御して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第2触媒暖機手段と、
前記排気浄化触媒の触媒温度を検出する触媒温度検出手段と、
を備え、
前記第1触媒暖機手段が、前記第2触媒暖機手段が前記排気絞り弁の開度を所定の閉じ側開度まで減少させた状態で前記排気浄化触媒に流入する排気の温度を少なくとも前記触媒温度検出手段により検出された触媒温度よりも高い温度として設定される所定の目標排気温度まで上昇させるべく前記燃料噴射量を増量することにより、触媒温度の上昇に従って目標排気温度が徐々に高温側に設定されると共に燃料噴射量が徐々に増量されることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記目標排気温度は、前記触媒温度検出手段により検出された触媒温度との温度差が所定の上限温度差を超えないように設定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
- 前記第2触媒暖機手段によって優先的に前記流入排気温度を上昇させ、前記目標排気温度に対して不足する該流入排気温度の昇温分を前記第1触媒暖機手段による燃料噴射量の増量により補うことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
- 前記排気浄化触媒よりも下流側における排気通路と前記内燃機関の吸気通路とを接続す
るEGR通路と、前記EGR通路に設けられ該EGR通路の流路断面積を変更可能なEGR弁とを含んで構成され、前記EGR通路を介して前記排気浄化触媒を通過した後の排気の一部を前記内燃機関に再循環させるEGR装置と、
前記EGR弁の開度を開弁方向に制御して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第3触媒暖機手段と、
を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れかに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記EGR通路は、前記排気絞り弁よりも下流側における排気通路と前記吸気通路とを接続する通路であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
- 内燃機関と電動機との2種類の動力源で走行するハイブリッド車両に適用する内燃機関の排気浄化システムであって、
前記内燃機関の排気通路に設けられた排気浄化触媒と、
前記排気通路における前記排気浄化触媒よりも下流側に設けられ該排気通路の流路断面積を変更可能な排気絞り弁と、
前記内燃機関の燃料噴射量を増量して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第1触媒暖機手段と、
前記燃料噴射量が増量された後のエンジントルクと前記電動機によるアシストトルクとの和が要求トルクに略等しくなるように該アシストトルクを調節するアシスト量調節手段と、
前記排気絞り弁の開度を閉弁方向に制御して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第2触媒暖機手段と、
前記排気浄化触媒よりも下流側における排気通路と前記内燃機関の吸気通路とを接続するEGR通路と、前記EGR通路に設けられ該EGR通路の流路断面積を変更可能なEGR弁とを含んで構成され、前記EGR通路を介して前記排気浄化触媒を通過した後の排気の一部を前記内燃機関に再循環させるEGR装置と、
前記EGR弁の開度を開弁方向に制御して前記排気浄化触媒を暖機する第3触媒暖機手段と、を備え、
前記EGR通路は、前記排気絞り弁よりも下流側における排気通路と前記吸気通路とを接続する通路であることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
