【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、炭酸を含む飲料などの内容物や加熱殺菌を必要とする内容物に使用したときに、容器内の内圧の増大や減少に耐え、密封性が良好な耐圧性紙容器に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、ジュース、清涼飲料などのワンウェイ容器としては、種々の構成の容器が知られていが、一般的には、紙カップなどの紙容器が広く使用されていた。この紙容器は、内容物を充填後に、容器の開口部を蓋材で密封するものであるが、開口部に、紙素材を重ね合わせた継ぎ目部分が残っており、段差を生じているため、密封性のよいシールが困難であった。

そこで、蓋材のシールによる密封性を改良するために、予め成形されたプラスチックリング部材を、紙容器の開口部に、超音波などの手段によって接着した紙容器が提案され、実用化されていた。更には、内容物の浸透などを防ぐ目的で、紙容器に直接、溶融プラスチックを射出し、容器胴部の重合部に保護部を、胴部の開口部にプラスチックリング部を一体成形した紙容器が提案され、これらのプラスチックリング付き紙容器は、開口部に強度があり、蓋材とのシール部分に段差がないので、密封性の優れたシールができるばかりでなく、開封性も考慮した構成とすることもでき、液体内容物を充填するのに適した容器であった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述の従来の紙容器は、紙シート、積層フィルム、熱可塑性樹脂などの蓋材を、熱融着法によってプラスチックリング部の上面に接着させた容器であるため、容器本体に内容物を充填し、蓋材で密封した容器が、流通過程において、例えば、発泡性内容物の場合には、内圧膨張により、蓋材や容器本体が著しく変形したり、蓋材と容器本体との融着部が剥離して液漏れを発生するなどの問題点があった。

本発明は、上述の従来の紙容器の問題点を解決したものであり、容器内の内圧の増大や減少などの変化により、蓋材や容器本体が著しく変形したり、融着部に剥離を生じることがなく、容器の密封性が良好な耐圧性紙容器を提供するものである。

本発明の第の発明は、紙を主体層とし、少なくとも容器内面側にプラスチック層を設けた胴部及び底部とからなる紙容器を、射出成形金型内に載置し、型締めした後、溶融プラスチックを射出して、胴部上端の開口部に蓋材との係合部又は係合部と熱融着部とをもつプラスチックリング部を設け、胴部の容器内面側の重合部上に柱状保護部を設け、胴部と底部との結合部上に環状保護部を設けた容器本体を、容器本体との係合部と熱融着部とをもつプラスチック製蓋材で係合と熱融着で密封した紙容器であって、前記容器本体の蓋材との係合部が、前記プラスチックリング部の内周面に設けた螺合する係合部であり、前記蓋材の容器本体との係合部が、外周縁部に立設する周壁の外周面に設けた螺合する係合部であり、前記容器本体の係合部と前記蓋材の係合部とを係合し、且つ、該係合部の係合面を熱融着して密封したことをことを特徴とする耐圧性紙容器である。

【作用】
本発明の耐圧性紙容器は、容器本体がインサート射出成形によって、紙容器の開口部にプラスチックリング部を設け、胴部の重合部上にプラスチックの柱状保護部を設け、胴部と底部の結合部上にプラスチックの環状保護部を設けて、強度が補強されており、この容器本体の開口部のプラスチックリング部に、蓋材が咬合、螺合などの係合部と熱融着とでしっかりと装着している。このため、内容物によって容器の内圧が変動(増大又は減少)しても、容器本体と蓋材との封止状態が破損されることがなく、容器の密封性が良好である。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の一実施形態の耐圧性紙容器は、容器本体とこの容器本体の開口部に係合と熱融着により装着する蓋材とから構成される。容器本体は、まず、紙層を主体層とし、少なくとも容器内面側にポリエチレンなどのプラスチック層を設けた、例えば、ポリエチレン層/紙層/ポリエチレン層構成、ポリエチレン層/紙層/ポリエチレン層/アルミニウム箔層/接着剤層/ポリエチレンテレフタレート層/接着剤層/ポリエチレン層構成、ポリエチレン層/紙層/エチレン−アクリル酸共重合体層/ポリエチレンテレフタレート層/酸化珪素蒸着層/接着剤層/ポリエチレン層構成などの積層材料を用いて、胴部の下方内周縁部に底部の周縁部を加熱状態で巻締めして一体化した紙容器を作製し、次に、この紙容器を射出成形金型内に載置し、型締めした後、ポリエチレンなどの溶融プラスチックを金型のキャビティ(雌型と雄型の間の空間)内に射出して、紙容器の開口部に蓋材との係合部と熱融着部をもつプラスチックリング部を、胴部の重合部上に柱状保護部を、胴部と底部の結合部上に環状保護部を形成させて作製するものである。

次に本発明の実施例を具体的に説明する。
<実施例1>
まず、ポリエチレン層(20μm)/紙層(320g/m2 )/ポリエチレン層(20μm)/ポリエチレン層(15μm)/ポリエチレンテレフタレート層(12μm)/酸化珪素蒸着膜(500Å)/ポリエチレン層(60μm)構成などの積層材料を用いて、胴部の下方内周縁部に底部の周縁部を加熱状態で巻締めして一体化した紙容器を作製した。

次に、充填機で炭酸飲料を容器本体に充填したのち、図2に示すように、容器本体(100)の開口部に、蓋材(200)を装着し、容器本体のプラスチックリング部(120)の係合部(122)と蓋材の環状保護部(220)の係合部(222)とを咬合させ、さらに超音波シール法で、容器本体のプラスチックリング部の熱融着部(123)と蓋材の環状保護部の熱融着部(223)とを熱融着して密封し、内容量250mlの本実施例の耐圧性紙容器(10)を作製した。

そして、上述の本実施例の耐圧性紙容器を、通常の流通及び保管期間を経てのち、容器の外観を観察したところ、外観性を損なうほどの著しい容器の変形は見られず、また、液漏れを発生したものは、確認されなかった。
