近年、お酒、ジュース、コーヒー等の飲料は、図3に示すような円筒型紙製容器が用いられるようになり、この容器は、最外層および最内層にヒートシール性樹脂からなる樹脂層を形成した、紙層を基材とする積層材料を成形したものである。

この紙容器1は、胴部2の上下にそれぞれ天部3、および底部4を胴部2の上下にそれぞれ巻締めて一体化した構成である。そして、天部3には、飲み口5が設けられており、この飲み口5の上部に密封強度をコントロールするために介在フィルム6を介して、封止材7の一端に仮接着部8を形成し、また飲み口5の周辺に密封シール部9を設けて密封してなる。
ここで、紙容器1にジュース等の飲料を無菌充填包装するには、図4に示すように、先ず封止材7の中心側の部分を介在フィルム6上に仮接着部8を設け、次に封止材7を起立させた状態で、充填機内で容器の殺菌、除去、飲料の充填を行う。そして、封止材7を元に戻して、介在フィルム6とにより、飲み口5の周辺を密封シールする。
