BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention provides a reactor having a function of supplying water to a reactor instead of a normal water supply facility of a boiling water reactor and maintaining a water level necessary for cooling the core. Related to isolation cooling equipment.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a boiling water nuclear power plant, a turbine generator is directly rotated by steam generated in a nuclear reactor to generate power. The steam after rotating the turbine generator is cooled and condensed by the condenser, and supplied again to the reactor by the water supply equipment. If for some reason the normal water supply facility becomes unavailable, a control rod is immediately inserted into the reactor and the fission reaction is stopped, but nuclear fuel continues to generate decay heat even after it becomes subcritical. As an emergency water supply system for cooling this, a reactor isolation cooling system is provided. This facility also has the function of supplying cooling water to the reactor in the event of an accident such as a break in the piping connected to the reactor.
