本発明は中折れシートバック及びその組付け方法に関し、更に詳細に説明すると、シートバックフレームが下部フレームと上部フレームとを有し、前記下部フレームの上部にヒンジアームが設けられ、該ヒンジアームに上部フレームの下部が連結され、前記下部フレームと上部フレームとに下部パッド材及び上部パッド材が夫々取付けられた状態で袋状の表皮材で前記下部パッド材と上部パッド材を被覆するようになされた中折れシートバック及びその組付け方法に関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に、車両用シートにおいては、シートバックをリクライニング装置により前後傾動させることができるように形成され、着座者の体格や好み等に対応することができるようになされている。またシートバックを上下方向で二分割し、リクライニング装置と共に着座者が弯曲姿勢をとることができるようにした中折れシートバックも提案され、着座者のホールド性及び車室内の居住性の向上を図っている。

従来の中折れシートバックにおいて、下部シートバック及び上部シートバックとに完全に上下に二分割された形態の場合には、下部フレームと上部フレームとが分割形成され、この下部フレームがシートクッションに対してリクライニング装置により前後傾動可能になされ、また下部フレームと上部フレームとがヒンジ結合され、上部フレームが下部フレームに対して前後傾動可能に取付けられ、この下部フレームと上部フレームとに個々に形成された下部パッド材及び上部パッド材を取付け、下部パッド材及び上部パッド材を夫々個々に形成された表皮材で被覆している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の中折れシートバックにおいて、下部シートバック及び上部シートバックとに完全に分割された形態のものを用いる場合においては、分割による部品点数が増大し、組付け作業が煩雑となる欠点を有していた。また、図６及び図７に示す如く、シートバック１の下部フレーム２と上部フレーム３とが分割形成され、表皮材５が下部表皮材５ａ及び上部表皮材５ｂ一体に形成された一体型の表皮材から形成されている場合には、上部フレーム３を数回前後傾動させることにより下部フレーム２と上部フレーム３との間のマチ部の表皮材５ｃが外方に出っ張る虞れを有し、皺が発生したり、見栄え外観を悪化させる虞れを有していた。
