【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improvement of a coil spring assembled to a strut type shock absorber used in a strut type suspension device for a vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, a strut type suspension device for a vehicle includes a strut type shock absorber having a spring seat on the outer periphery, a vehicle body side support attached to the tip of a piston rod, and a coil interposed between the spring seat and the vehicle side support. The strut type shock absorber is arranged on the wheel side of the vehicle, and the vehicle body side support is arranged on the vehicle body side to suspend the vehicle body.
[0003]
Further, in the above suspension system, in order to reduce the size of the spring seat and the vehicle side support, the coil spring interposed between them is a so-called pigtail type in which both end portions are gradually smaller in coil diameter than the central portion. May be used.
[0004]
By the way, in the vehicle strut type suspension device configured as described above, the coil spring may be broken for some reason during use.
[0005]
In this case, there is no problem because the lower side of the broken coil spring is seated and supported by the spring seat, but the upper side of the coil spring is not fixed to the vehicle body side support, so it falls downward. May cause damage to the wheels and chassis.
[0006]
Therefore, in recent years, a holding means for the coil spring is provided on the lower surface of the vehicle body side support, and the upper end of the coil spring is always held by this holding means so that even if the coil spring breaks, the broken upper coil spring does not fall downward. Something like that has been developed.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when the above-described pigtail type coil spring is used, the following problems occur.
[0008]
That is, when the broken portion becomes a boundary portion between the central portion of the coil spring and the lower small diameter portion, when the upper large diameter portion is set larger than the outer diameter of the spring seat, It is conceivable that the upper coil spring passes through the outer side of the lower coil spring and the spring seat and falls while rotating downward.
[0009]
Therefore, in order to prevent the coil spring from falling while rotating, a dedicated member called a spring catcher is formed to protrude below the spring seat of the strut type shock absorber, but the number of parts increases accordingly. At the same time, the manufacturing cost increases.
[0010]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a coil spring structure in which even if the coil spring breaks, it is not necessary to provide a special fall prevention mechanism in a strut type shock absorber or the like for assembling the coil spring.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the coil spring means of the present invention includes an intermediate cylindrical portion formed by spirally winding a coil body and having the same coil diameter, and a diameter that decreases from the intermediate cylindrical portion upward. an upper coil section consisting likewise constructed from the intermediate tubular portion and the lower coil section diameter decreases as it goes downward, a spring seat mounted on the outer periphery of the strut-type shock absorbers, body attached to the piston rod end side A coil spring interposed between the side support and a stress concentrating portion having a lower rigidity than other portions provided at an arbitrary position of the upper coil portion or the upper portion of the intermediate cylindrical portion. To do.
[0012]
In this case, it is preferable that the upper end of the upper coil portion is hooked on a hook formed by bending to the outer edge side of the vehicle body side support .
[0013]
Similarly, the stress concentration portion may be formed by partially reducing the wire diameter of the coil body.
[0014]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 illustrates a strut type suspension device A for a vehicle using a strut type shock absorber 3 assembled with a coil spring 4 according to the present invention. Show.

Next, the operation of the present embodiment configured as described above will be described. Now, while the vehicle equipped with the vehicle strut type suspension device A of the present embodiment is running, the coil spring 4 is for some reason. It is assumed that a large force is applied to the coil spring 4 so as to break.
[0024]
Then, since the

Therefore, by always specifying the break position when the coil spring 4 breaks, it breaks at the part where the coil diameter of the lower part of the coil spring 4 starts to change as in the prior art, and the upper coil spring rotates outside the spring seat. However, it is possible to reliably prevent the phenomenon of passing through and dropping, and it is not necessary to provide a dedicated member called a spring catcher on the shock absorber.
[0028]
In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the
[0029]
In this case, the coil diameter on the upper side of the broken portion of the coil spring 4 is smaller than the coil diameter on the lower side of the broken portion, so that the coil spring on the upper side of the broken portion naturally covers the outer periphery of the lower coil spring. It does not pass through and exhibits the same action as described above.

Further, the

【The invention's effect】
The present invention has the following effects.
[0032]
1) According to the first, second, and third aspects of the present invention, when a large force is applied to the coil spring for some reason during traveling of the vehicle, this coil spring is provided with a stress concentration portion. The force concentrates on this part and this part breaks, and the coil spring is divided into two parts.
At this time, if the stress force concentration portion is formed above the lowermost coil portion in the intermediate cylindrical portion and is formed at an arbitrary portion of the intermediate cylindrical portion, the coil diameter of the broken portion is lower than this. Since it is the same as the coil diameter of the coil part in the intermediate cylindrical part on the side, the coil part above the broken part does not pass through the outside of the coil part below the broken part and fall downward.
When the stress concentration portion is formed in the upper coil portion, the upper coil portion has a coil diameter smaller than that of the intermediate cylindrical portion, so that the upper coil portion passes the outer periphery of the intermediate cylindrical portion downward. There is nothing.
Since the lower coil portion is seated on the
Therefore, by always specifying the break position when the coil spring breaks, it breaks at the part where the coil diameter of the lower part of the coil spring starts to change as in the past, and the coil part above this break part is outside the spring seat. Since it is possible to reliably prevent the phenomenon of passing through while rotating and dropping, there is no need to provide a dedicated member called a spring catcher on the shock absorber.
[0033]
2) According to the invention of claim 2, since the upper coil portion is hooked on the vehicle body side support by the hook, it does not fall downward.
Further, according to the invention of
