【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is a circuit arrangement for identifying and identifying a SECAM transmission standard color picture signal, and the signal is provided for each picture line of the SECAM color video signal. Alternating first and second color bursts; the circuit arrangement has a multiplier and a low pass filter after it; the output signal of the low pass filter is a rectifier The rectifier rectifies the signal applied thereto and inverts the signal during each second image line of the color video signal, thereby providing the circuit arrangement The output signal in the SECAM color video signal always has a predetermined polarity; and an integrator is provided after the multiplier; the output signal of the integrator is a SECAM color video signal. Show signal On the road arrangement.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Such a circuit arrangement is known from the integrated circuit TDA 4720 available from Philips. In this known circuit, a color video signal to be identified and identified is applied in an unmodified form to one input of the multiplier and also in a phase shifted form to a second input of the multiplier. For this purpose, the color video signal, in particular a color burst in the color video signal, is fed to a parallel resonant circuit, which is coupled to the second input of the multiplier. The resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit is between the two color burst frequencies. As a result, a positive or negative phase shift occurs at the second input, the sign of which depends on which of the two color bursts has occurred. Depending on the sign of the phase shift, a pulse with a different sign occurs at the output ni of the low-pass filter. These pulses are applied to a rectifier which further inverts the sign of the pulse for each second image line of the color video signal. In the SECAM signal, the rectifier always supplies pulses with the same sign. When a SECAM signal occurs, the subsequent integrator provides an output signal that is used to identify and identify the SECAM standard.
[0003]
This circuit arrangement has drawbacks, since the parallel resonant circuit coupled to the second input of the multiplier requires adjustment. This is because the natural resonant frequency of the resonant circuit needs to be between the SECAM standard two color burst frequencies.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The object of the present invention is to improve this circuit arrangement so that it is fully integrated and does not require any adjustment.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the invention, the object is that the color video signal is fed to the mixer; the mixer at least reduces the color burst in the color video signal to a lower frequency; the output signal of the mixer is the first of the multiplier. The output signal of the mixer is coupled to a resonant circuit; the natural resonant frequency of the resonant circuit is converted to the frequency of the down-converted red color burst and the down-converted The answer is given by: being in the middle of the frequency of the blue color burst; the resonant signal of the resonant circuit is coupled to the second input of the multiplier.
[0006]
In this circuit arrangement according to the invention, a mixer for receiving the color video signal to be identified and identified is in front of the multiplier. The mixer converts the color video signal or at least a color burst in the color video signal to a lower frequency. The output signal from the mixer is applied to the first input of the multiplier without modification. Furthermore, this output signal from the mixer is applied to a parallel resonant circuit. The natural resonance frequency of the resonance circuit is in the middle of the frequency of the color burst in the color image signal converted downward. The resonant circuit is coupled to the second input of the multiplier.
[0007]
At the input of the multiplier, the color burst is clearly lower in frequency than in the prior art. The color burst converted downward appears to be the second input of the multiplier that is phase-shifted as it appears at the first input of the multiplier. If the frequency of the color burst converted downward is above the natural resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit, this signal will be phase shifted + 90 ° and appear at the second input of the multiplier. If the color burst frequency converted downward is below the natural resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit, this signal is phase shifted by -90 ° and appears at the second input of the multiplier.
[0008]
Depending on the sign of this phase shift, the multiplier provides different mixing results at its output. Depending on this phase shift, a positive or negative pulse appears at the output of the subsequent low-pass filter.
[0009]
Since the frequency of the color burst in the SECAM standard color video signal alternates for each line, a pulse whose code alternates for each line appears in the output of the low-pass filter.
[0010]
The rectifier behind the low-pass filter not only performs rectification but also reverses the sign of the pulse for each second line of the color video signal. In the SECAM standard color video signal, the signs of these pulses alternate line by line, so the pulses at the output of the rectifier always have the same sign. This pulse is applied to the integrator and its output signal identifies and identifies the presence of a SECAM color video signal.
[0011]
For example, if a PAL color video signal is present at the input of the circuit arrangement instead of a SECAM color video signal, the color bursts in the color video signal have the same frequency for each line. The pulses at the output of the rectifier circuit then appear with alternating polarities for each second line in response to inversion. As a result, integrator pulses with alternating polarities are integrated upwards and approximately canceled, and the integrator provides a signal that is nearly zero.
[0012]
Downward conversion by a color video signal or a color burst mixer in this color video signal has the advantage that the frequency of the color burst behind the mixer is clearly lower. As a result, the requirement that the natural resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit must be midway between these downwardly converted color burst frequencies can be satisfied in an essentially simple manner compared to the prior art. it can. For example, a 5% difference in the natural resonant frequency of a parallel resonant circuit in the prior art results in that the resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit is no longer in the middle of the two color burst frequencies. In contrast, in the circuit arrangement according to the present invention, even if there is a difference of 5% in the natural resonance frequency from the ideal case that is exactly in the middle of the frequency of the color burst converted downward, Does not happen. Even with a 5% difference, the resonant frequency is still halfway between the two frequencies of the color burst converted downward. At that time, the circuit arrangement operates without any problems.
[0013]
This provides two advantages: the parallel resonant circuit no longer needs to be adjusted. Further, the parallel resonant circuit can be integrated as an integrated circuit because it is allowed to have a larger difference expressed as a percentage of the natural resonant frequency that deviates from the intermediate frequency of the color burst frequency converted downward. Since the other parts of the circuit can also be integrated in some way, the entire circuit arrangement for identifying and identifying color video signal transmission standards can be fully integrated.
[0014]
In one embodiment of the circuit arrangement according to the invention, the multiplier receives a blanking signal, and the blanking signal provides an output signal only during the period when the signal applied to the multiplier contains a color burst. The multiplier is controlled as described above.
[0015]
In order to evaluate the frequency pulse of the low pass filter or the rectifier behind it, it is advantageous to blank out all signals except the color burst. Since the location of the color burst is identified and identified in the video recorder, such a blanking signal exists anyway. In the circuit arrangement of the present invention, one such blanking signal is used to activate the multiplier only during the period in which the color burst occurs in the downward converted color video signal applied to the multiplier. It can be used advantageously.
[0016]
In another embodiment of the circuit arrangement according to the invention, the output signal of the integrator is fed to a comparator, which compares the output signal with a threshold signal and depends on the comparison result. Supply identification identification.
[0017]
The integrator output signal that identifies and identifies the presence of a SECAM color video signal is evaluated using such a comparator that provides an identification identification signal that directly identifies the presence of a SECAM transmission standard color video signal. It would be advantageous.
[0018]
In another embodiment of the circuit arrangement according to the invention, the mixer mixes the color video signal applied thereto with a signal having a frequency of 5.06 MHz.
[0019]
Anyway, a mixer operating with a signal of this frequency exists in the video recorder. In these recorders, color bursts and other chrominance signals of color video signals, from the original frequency up to the low frequency of 625 kHz, which is the frequency at which they are recorded on the tape. A mixer is used to mix. In the circuit arrangement according to the invention, it would be advantageous to use this mixer also for identifying transmission standards. The mixer is thus also used for the second purpose.
[0020]
Since the natural resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit must be in the middle of the frequency of the downward converted color burst, another embodiment of the circuit arrangement according to the present invention has been converted to the downward applied to the resonant circuit. The resonance circuit has a natural resonance frequency corresponding to the average value of the frequency of the color burst. This gives the same range of variation to the two frequency limits when there is a tolerance that would probably occur at the natural resonant frequency.
[0021]
In another embodiment of the circuit arrangement according to the invention, the integrator has a capacitance, the capacitance is coupled to the input of the comparator, and a PAL identification and identification circuit converts the color video signal into a PAL transmission standard signal. When identified as being present, the capacitance discharges through a resistor.
[0022]
Many receivers also include a circuit arrangement for identifying and identifying the color video signal of the PAL transmission standard, independently of the circuit arrangement for identifying and identifying the SECAM transmission standard. In general, both circuit arrangements operate independently of each other. Conventionally, this has the problem that a compromise must be found between the high sensitivity of the circuit arrangement that identifies the SECAM color video signal and the insensitivity of the circuit arrangement to the PAL signal. It was. In order to ensure that the SECAM signal is definitely identified, the identification and identification of the SECAM signal needs to be highly sensitive. However, it must be insensitive to PAL signals that may occur with the crosstalk component of adjacent tracks in video recorders. In special circumstances, these crosstalk components can even lead to false identification and identification.
[0023]
If the output signal of the PAL identification and identification circuit is additionally used to discharge capacitance when a PAL signal is generated during the circuit arrangement of the present invention, improved identification and identification safety is achieved. Interfering signals that would most likely occur when the PAL identification and identification circuit confirms the PAL signal cannot cause the SECAM identification and identification circuit to identify the SECAM signal.
[0024]
These and other aspects of the invention are apparent from the examples described below, which will be elucidated by reference to the examples described below.
[0025]
【Example】
The circuit arrangement for identifying and identifying a SECAM transmission standard color video signal, shown in schematic block diagram form in FIG. 1, receives the color video signal V IN at its input for identification and identification of the standard. Inside the circuit arrangement, this signal is fed to the
[0026]
Color bursts in SECAM transmission standard color video signals have frequencies of 4.406 MHz and 4.250 MHz. These color bursts are converted downward to frequencies of 0.81 MHz and 0.654 MHz by mixing at a frequency of 5.06 MHz. In an ideal case, the natural resonant frequency of the parallel resonant circuit 4 must be exactly between these two frequencies. So in an ideal case it is 0.732MHz.
