Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a current control method for continuous plating, in which a plating current is controlled when a workpiece is batch processed by a continuous plating apparatus for continuously transferring the workpiece.
[0002]
[Prior art]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-9-157899 [0003]
There are two types of plating equipment for electroplating: one that lifts the workpiece by a transport mechanism according to a certain sequence and sequentially transfers between the treatment tanks, and the other that transfers the workpiece continuously from the treatment tank to the treatment tank. There is a thing. Typical examples of workpieces to be plated by a plating apparatus that continuously transfers workpieces from the treatment tank to the treatment tank include printed circuit boards and steel plates. In such a plating apparatus, a plurality of anodes are provided in the workpiece transfer direction. Are arranged, and each anode is individually provided with a power supply device for plating. Here, the power supply device for plating is controlled at a constant current in order to keep the amount of plating applied to the workpiece constant. In the case of a steel plate, for example, the method disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-157899 is used. The plating current is controlled.
[0004]
However, in a work such as a printed circuit board, a lot is often flowed continuously for each lot, and a period of no work is generally generated between lots. When this kind of work flow is used, the power supply device for plating is controlled at constant current, so when the work enters the anode at the beginning of the lot, the current concentrates on the tip of the work, The plating adheres thickly and the so-called flower blooms or burns. Further, when the tail end of the workpiece escapes from the plating tank, the current is concentrated on the tail end of the workpiece, and the same phenomenon occurs.
[0005]
When such a phenomenon occurs, the workpiece becomes defective. Therefore, dummy workpieces are placed at the front and rear of the product workpiece to avoid this. However, when a dummy workpiece is placed, the plating is thickly attached to the tip and tail ends of the dummy workpiece or burnt. In a plating apparatus that continuously transfers a flat work such as a printed circuit board, the flat work enters and exits the treatment tank below the treatment liquid surface, in order to prevent leakage of the treatment liquid from the inlet / outlet. A liquid leakage prevention device usually provided with a sealing roller is provided.
[0006]
However, if a thickly adhered part of the workpiece or dummy workpiece tip passes through the sealing roller, the sealing roller is damaged and the sealing performance is deteriorated. In addition, since the adhesion of the plating is not good in such a part, it peels off and adheres to the seal roller as metal powder or metal pieces, and the metal powder or metal pieces adhered to the seal roller damages the surface of the subsequent product workpiece. There was a problem that the rotation of the sealing roller was hindered. In order to solve such a problem, conventionally, the set current of the plating power supply device at the beginning and the end of the plating tank is reduced, and there is a problem that the plating quality is deteriorated, for example, the plating film thickness varies.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems, the plating does not adhere thickly to the tip or tail of the workpiece, or burn does not occur, thereby eliminating the damage to the seal roller and workpiece, and the plating film The present invention has been made in order to provide a current control method for continuous plating that can make the thickness uniform.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the current control method for continuous plating according to the present invention includes a plurality of anodes arranged in the workpiece transfer direction, and a plurality of plating power supply devices for supplying plating currents to the respective anodes. A continuous plating current control method for controlling a plating current when a workpiece is batch processed by a continuous plating apparatus including a workpiece continuous conveying device, wherein the workpiece has a front dummy workpiece on the front side of the product workpiece. The rear dummy work is mounted on the rear side, and the length of the front dummy work and the rear dummy work is substantially the same as the length of each anode, and the tip of the work reaches the tail end of each anode. When the power supply for plating that feeds power to the anode is started with constant voltage control, the tip of each workpiece reaches the tip of each anode. The plating power supply device to be switched is switched to constant current control, and when the tail end of the workpiece reaches the tail end of each anode, the plating power supply device that supplies power to the anode is switched to constant voltage control. .

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention described above, when the front end of the work first faces the anode and when the rear end of the work finally comes off from the anode, the power supply device for plating connected to the anode is determined. Since the voltage is controlled, a current that causes an excessive current density does not flow, and the power supply device for plating connected to the anode is fixed while the workpiece advances and the workpiece completely faces the anode. Since the current is controlled, there is an advantage that the plating film thickness is uniform and excellent quality plating can be performed. In addition, when the front dummy workpiece and the rear dummy workpiece are mounted before and after the workpiece, the period during which power is supplied from the power supply device for plating controlled at a constant voltage to the product workpiece can be significantly shortened or eliminated. There is an advantage that the plating thickness of the product workpiece can be made more uniform. Furthermore, when the front and rear dummy workpieces and the length of the anode are substantially the same length, the front dummy workpiece and the entire surface of the anode are moved when the tip of the product workpiece reaches the tail end position of the anode. Therefore, there is an advantage that a portion where the current density becomes excessive does not occur even when the power supply device for plating is switched to constant current control. Therefore, the present invention greatly contributes to the industry as providing a current control method for continuous plating that solves the conventional problems.
