Description
【0001】
(図7(a)参照)。
【0035】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a line light emitting device photosensitive drum integrated cartridge for a copying apparatus or a page printer.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in a copying apparatus or a page printer, data is once recorded on a photosensitive drum for printing on paper. Therefore, the laser beam is modulated according to the output data, and the modulated laser beam is scanned on the photosensitive drum using one or a plurality of lens systems or a polygon mirror (rotating polygon mirror), and the data is printed. A method of recording data on a photosensitive drum is the mainstream.
[0003]
In addition, small page printers using LED arrays and liquid crystal shutters that do not require the large-scale optical system required for such laser-based systems are beginning to appear on the market. These have been reduced in size as compared with laser printers by improving the method for irradiating the photosensitive drum with light.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional apparatus as described above, since various optical system parts are required in the laser system, it is difficult to reduce the size and cost. In addition, it is difficult to manufacture the LED array in the shape of a single line, and the manufacturing yield is poor, and the method of arranging a large number of LED chips in a row makes it difficult to align the chips. That is, the difficulty of manufacturing has increased the manufacturing cost. Liquid crystal shutters, on the other hand, require a strong light source and require a certain distance between the liquid crystal shutter and the light source in order to avoid heat from the light source. It was.
[0005]
In addition, these LED arrays and liquid crystal shutters have a limited life span, and if they are used for a long time, even if the part facing the photosensitive drum becomes dirty with dust or toner, the user cannot easily replace it. There was also a problem with convenience, such as the need to request repairs.
[0006]
The present invention is a compact and inexpensive line light emitting device in which a plurality of thin film light emitting elements are arranged in a line and light output from these light emitting elements can be projected onto a photosensitive drum without using a lens system (fully contact type). It is an object to provide a photosensitive drum integrated cartridge .
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, a plurality of drive circuits in which a

[0012]
In this manner, the organic EL element is driven by the TFT and the light emission from the organic EL element is input to the photosensitive drum through the thin glass, so that the manufacturing becomes extremely easy and an inexpensive line light emitting device can be obtained.
[0013]
Furthermore, since this line light emitting device is inexpensive, it can be made disposable. By utilizing this feature , the line light emitting device is integrated with the photosensitive drum, so that the line light emitting device can be used simultaneously with the photosensitive drum cartridge when the photosensitive drum cartridge is replaced. It can be replaced and maintenance free.
