【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、アプリケーター付き
の生理用タンポンに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、アプリケーター付きの生理用タン
ポンは周知であり、また、そのアプリケーターの外筒の
周面から径方向外側に延出するつば状のストッパーを設
ける技術が実公昭６３−４８２６１号公報によって公知
である。
【０００３】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記公知技術のストッ
パーによって、アプリケーターが膣に過度に深く挿入さ
れることを防止することができ、また、そのストッパー
の後方でアプリケーターを持つようにすることで経血に
よる指の汚れを防止することができる。ところが、かか
るアプリケーターは、そのストッパーの分だけ径方向が
大きくなり、生理用タンポンを極力小さな包装体にして
携帯を容易にしたいという使用者の要求に応え難い場合
がある。
【０００４】また、アプリケーターは、その先端を斜め
上方に向けて挿入するが、アプリケーターの使用経験が
ない者は、時としてその挿入の向きが不適切なままタン
ポンを押し出して着用に失敗し、結局そのタンポンを使
用せずに捨てなければならないという問題もある。
【０００５】そこで、この発明においては、外筒に設け
たストッパーの左右方向の寸法を上下方向の寸法より小
さくすることにより小さな包装体とすることを可能に
し、また、かかるストッパーの上下方向をアプリケータ
ー外筒の長軸に対して傾斜させることにより、その生理
用タンポンを簡単に斜め上方に向けて持つことができる
ようにすることで前記従来技術の問題を解決することを
課題にしている。

【課題を解決するための手段】この発明が前記課題を解
決するために手段とするところは、以下のとおりであ
る。
【０００７】この発明においては、外筒と内筒とから構
成されたアプリケーターの前記外筒の内部に引き出し紐
を有するタンポンが収納され、前記外筒の周面から径方
向外側へ延出してなるストッパーを備えた生理用タンポ
ンを前提にしている。
【０００８】かかる前提において、前記ストッパーは、
その左右方向に延出する寸法を上下方向に延出する寸法
よりも小さいフランジ状に形成されていることを特徴と
している。
【０００９】好ましい実施態様において、前記外筒が大
径部と該外筒の後部に位置する小径部とからなり、前記
ストッパーが前記大径部の後端近傍に位置している。さ
らに、他の好ましい実施態様において、前記ストッパー
が、その上下方向を前記アプリケーターの長軸に対し後
方に向けて所要角度傾斜している。

【作用】このように構成した生理用タンポンは、ストッ
パーの左右方向の寸法を上下方向の寸法より小さくした
分だけ小さな包装体になる。アプリケーターを挿入する
ときには、それを持つ親指と中指の指先を傾斜したスト
ッパーの上下に後方から当接することで、アプリケータ
ーが自ずと斜め上方を向き、その挿入が容易になる。

【実施例】この発明に係る生理用タンポンの詳細を添付
の図面を参照して説明すると、以下のとおりである。
【００１２】図１、２は、生理用タンポン１の斜視図
と、その２−２線矢視図である。生理用タンポン１は、
外筒３と内筒４とからなるアプリケーター１Ａと、後記
タンポン１２とで構成されている。外筒３は、スリット
５によりほぼ三角形状の分割片６Ａに形成されたほぼ半
球状の先端部６を備えた大径部７と、後部外周にリブ９
が設けられた小径部８と、大径部７の小径部８寄りの外
周に設けられたフランジ状ストッパー１０とを有し、内
部には引き出し紐１１を有する親水性繊維の圧縮成形体
であるタンポン１２を収納してある。内筒４は、外筒３
内に摺動可能に挿入され、前端（図示せず）がタンポン
１２の後端に当接し、後端からは引き出し紐１１が延出
している。タンポン１２は、内筒４をその後端において
押圧し、これによって各分割片６Ａを押し開くことによ
り外筒３から押し出される。
【００１３】ストッパー１０は、大径部７に一体的に成
形され、大径部７の中心Ｏからの上下方向の寸法ＨＡと
ＨＢとからなる全高Ｈ＝ＨＡ＋ＨＢを有し、左右方向に
幅Ｗを有する。全高Ｈは幅Ｗよりも大きく、またＨＡと
ＨＢとは大径部７の周面からの延出寸法が３〜１０ｍｍ
であって、好ましくはＨＡ≧ＨＢである。なお、必要な
ら幅Ｗを大径部７の外径に等しくすることができる。こ
のようなストッパー１０は、好ましくは、その上下方向
がアプリケーター１Ａの後方に向かって傾き、大径部７
の長軸Ｌ−Ｌに対する傾斜角度α＝８０〜６０°を有す
る。
【００１４】生理用タンポン１を膣に挿入するには、例
えば図２の仮想線で示すように大径部７を上下方向から
指先で摘む。そのときに、着用者は２本の指先をストッ
パー１０に後方から当接すると、殆ど無意識のうちに生
理用タンポン１を斜め上向きに摘むことになり、アプリ
ケーターの使用経験がなくてもスムーズに挿入すること
ができるようになる。挿入を始めると、やがて傾斜した
ストッパーが膣口の上下に当接するから、挿入停止時機
を間違いなく判断することができる。また、ストッパー
１０は、経血が後方へ流れるのを止めて、指先が経血で
汚れるのを防止することができる。さらにはまた、その
汚れ防止に殆ど役立つことのないストッパー１０の幅Ｗ
を極力小さくして生理用タンポン１の外径を必要以上に
大きくすることがないから、生理用タンポン１の包装体
をコンパクトなものにすることができる。

【発明の効果】この発明に係る生理用タンポンは、スト
ッパーの上下方向と左右方向とを識別して摘むことがで
きる。そのストッパーの上下方向の寸法を相対的に大き
くしておくことにより、挿入時に経血で指先が汚れるの
を防止することができる。ストッパーの上下方向を後方
へ傾斜させておくことにより、摘んだ生理用タンポンが
自ずと斜め上向きとなり、使用経験のない者でもその挿
入が容易になる。生理用タンポンは、左右方向の寸法を
小さくしてあるから、その分だけ包装体が小さくなり、
持ち運びが容易になる。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】外筒と内筒とから構成されたアプリケータ
    ーの前記外筒の内部に引き出し紐を有するタンポンが収
    納され、前記外筒の周面から径方向外側へ延出してなる
    ストッパーを備えた生理用タンポンにおいて、 前記ストッパーが、その左右方向に延出する寸法を上下
    方向に延出する寸法よりも小さいフランジ状に形成され
    ていることを特徴とする生理用タンポン。
  2. 【請求項２】前記外筒が大径部と該外筒の後部に位置す
    る小径部とからなり、前記ストッパーが前記大径部の後
    端近傍に位置している請求項１に記載の生理用タンポ
    ン。
  3. 【請求項３】前記ストッパーが、その上下方向を前記ア
    プリケーターの長軸に対し後方に向けて所要角度傾斜さ
    せることにより構成されている請求項１または２に記載
    の生理用タンポン。
