Abstract
Description
本発明はノンドライ性に優れる筆記具用油性インク組成物に関する。 TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to an oil-based ink composition for writing instruments that is excellent in non-drying properties.
メタリックインクは、アルミニウム粉や黄銅粉などの金属粉顔料を含むマーキングペン用インク組成物であり、前記インク組成物を用いて筆記面上に筆記すると、光輝性のある筆跡を与えることができる。 Metallic ink is an ink composition for marking pens containing metal powder pigments such as aluminum powder and brass powder, and when written on a writing surface using the ink composition, it is possible to give brilliant handwriting.
メタリックインクのうち、水性インク組成物としては、アルミニウム粉をケイ酸塩で被覆した金属顔料、水および水溶性溶剤からなる筆記具用水性インク組成物が開示されている(特許文献1)。 Among metallic inks, as an aqueous ink composition, an aqueous ink composition for writing utensils comprising a metal pigment obtained by coating aluminum powder with a silicate, water and a water-soluble solvent is disclosed (Patent Document 1).
There are also reports of oil-based metallic inks. For example, an aluminum powder pigment surface-treated with a fatty acid (salt), at least one first resin selected from ketone resins, hydrogenated rosin resins and ultra-light colored rosin resins, acrylic resin, styrene-acrylic resin and styrene - A metal for oil-based marking pens, which is a combination of at least one second resin selected from maleic acid resins and at least one selected from aliphatic alcohols, glycols, glycol ethers and glycol ether esters as an organic solvent. A powdered pigment ink composition is disclosed (Patent Document 2). In Patent Document 2, when the first resin is used alone, sufficient glitter cannot be imparted to the resulting handwriting. Improving. Patent Literature 3 discloses an oil-based ink composition containing an aluminum pigment whose surface is coated with a resin, one or more selected from alcohols and glycol ethers, and tocopherol and/or tocotrienol. The oil-based ink composition contains tocopherol or tocotrienol in order to suppress a decrease in glossiness after long-term storage when an aluminum pigment is used.
However, since the aluminum pigments used in Patent Documents 2 and 3 are usually in the form of a paste containing a petroleum-based solvent, it is very difficult to loosen them when preparing an oil-based ink. Since it is difficult to disperse the aluminum pigment uniformly in the ink, it affects the luster. If a large amount of resin is added, the resin will be adsorbed on the aluminum pigment paste, and the aluminum pigment will be easily loosened. However, when the amount of resin added is large, the resin solidifies at the pen tip, causing a problem of drying the pen tip, such as blurring of characters during writing.
An object of the present invention is to provide a lustrous oil-based ink for writing instruments that is excellent in so-called non-drying properties, i.e., the nib does not easily dry.
本発明のマーキングペン用油性インク組成物は、非晶質シリカからなるシリカ被膜で被覆されたアルミニウム粉顔料と、エタノールおよびプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の溶剤と、樹脂とを含有することを特徴とする。 The oil-based ink composition for marking pens of the present invention comprises an aluminum powder pigment coated with a silica film made of amorphous silica, at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of ethanol and propylene glycol monomethyl ether, and a resin. characterized by containing

The oil-based ink composition for marking pens preferably further contains a dye.
The marking pen of the present invention is equipped with the oil-based ink composition.
本発明によれば、ノンドライ性に優れる筆記具用光輝性油性インクを提供することができる。 ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the bright oil-based ink for writing instruments which is excellent in non-drying property can be provided.
本発明のマーキングペン用油性インク組成物(以下単に「油性インク組成物」ともいう。)は、非晶質シリカからなるシリカ被膜で被覆されたアルミニウム粉顔料と、エタノールおよびプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の溶剤と、樹脂とを含有する。 The oil-based ink composition for marking pens of the present invention (hereinafter also simply referred to as "oil-based ink composition") comprises an aluminum powder pigment coated with a silica film made of amorphous silica, ethanol, and propylene glycol monomethyl ether. It contains at least one solvent selected from the group and a resin.
The aluminum powder pigment has a form in which aluminum particles are used as a base material and the surfaces of the aluminum particles are coated with a silica film made of amorphous silica. In the aluminum powder pigment, the entire surface of the aluminum particles may be coated with a silica film, or the coating may be peeled off to expose a part of the aluminum particles. By using the aluminum powder pigment in such a form, it is possible to reduce the amount of resin for dispersing the aluminum powder pigment in the ink, resulting in an oil-based ink excellent in non-drying properties.
アルミニウム粒子は、純アルミニウムでもよいし、アルミニウム合金から構成されていてもよい。
アルミニウム粒子は、粒状、板状、塊状およびフレーク状(鱗片状)など、種々の形状を有していてもよい。これらのうち、塗膜に優れたメタリック感および輝度を与えるためには、フレーク状であることが好ましい。
The aluminum particles may be pure aluminum or may be composed of an aluminum alloy.
The aluminum particles may have various shapes such as granular, plate-like, massive and flaky (scale-like). Among these, the flaky shape is preferable in order to impart an excellent metallic feeling and brightness to the coating film.
The average particle size of the aluminum particles is 2-40 μm, preferably 5-30 μm. When the aluminum particles are plate-like or flake-like, their aspect ratio is 5-1000, preferably 15-500. As used herein, the aspect ratio refers to a shape factor obtained by dividing the average particle size of aluminum particles by the average thickness. When this aspect ratio is less than 5, there is a tendency that the feeling of brightness is insufficient. On the other hand, if the aspect ratio exceeds 1000, the mechanical strength of the flakes may be lowered and the color tone may become unstable. The average particle size of the aluminum particles can be determined by a particle size distribution measurement method such as the laser diffraction method, the micromesh sieve method, and the Coulter counter method, and the average thickness is determined by the hiding power and density of the plate-like or flake-like aluminum particles. can be obtained from
A grinding aid such as unsaturated oleic acid may be attached to the surfaces of the aluminum particles.
アルミニウム粒子の表面は、非晶質シリカからなるシリカ被膜で被覆されている。非晶質シリカは、シロキサン[H3SiO(H2SiO)nSiH3](nは自然数を表す。)、SiO2およびSiO2・nH2Oなどである。 The surface of the aluminum particles is coated with a silica film made of amorphous silica. Amorphous silica includes siloxane [ H3SiO ( H2SiO ) nSiH3 ] ( n represents a natural number ), SiO2 and SiO2.nH2O .
アルミニウム粒子の表面を非晶質シリカからなる被膜で被覆することで、アルミニウム粉顔料に耐食性を付与することができる。また、非晶質シリカは親水性表面を持つため、シリカ被膜を有する前記アルミニウム粉顔料は、親水性の有機溶媒中で容易に分散することができる。 Corrosion resistance can be imparted to the aluminum powder pigment by coating the surface of the aluminum particles with a film made of amorphous silica. In addition, since amorphous silica has a hydrophilic surface, the aluminum powder pigment having a silica coating can be easily dispersed in a hydrophilic organic solvent.
アルミニウム粒子の表面にシリカ被膜を形成する方法を説明する。アルミニウム粒子を含有する分散溶液に有機ケイ素化合物を添加し、さらに加水分解触媒を添加して分散溶液のpHを7.5~10に調整することにより、有機ケイ素化合物を加水分解してアルミニウム粒子の表面にシリカ被膜を析出させる。 A method for forming a silica film on the surface of aluminum particles will be described. An organosilicon compound is added to a dispersion solution containing aluminum particles, and a hydrolysis catalyst is added to adjust the pH of the dispersion solution to 7.5 to 10, thereby hydrolyzing the organosilicon compound to produce aluminum particles. A silica coating is deposited on the surface.
Specific examples of organosilicon compounds include tetraethoxysilane, tetramethoxysilane, methyltriethoxysilane, methyltrimethoxysilane, tetraisopropoxysilane and condensates thereof.
Both basic and acidic hydrolysis catalysts can be used as the hydrolysis catalyst, but it is preferable to use a basic hydrolysis catalyst in terms of reaction rate. Specific examples of basic hydrolysis catalysts include triethanolamine, ammonia, ethylenediamine and γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane.
分散溶液の溶媒としては、親水性溶媒が用いられる。親水性溶媒の具体例としては、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロパノール、プロパノール、t-ブタノール、イソブタノール、エチルセロソルブ、ブチルセロソルブ、プロピレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、ジプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、プロピレングリコールモノプロピルエーテルおよびアセトンなどが挙げられる。 A hydrophilic solvent is used as a solvent for the dispersion solution. Specific examples of hydrophilic solvents include methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, propanol, t-butanol, isobutanol, ethyl cellosolve, butyl cellosolve, propylene glycol monobutyl ether, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether, propylene glycol monopropyl ether and acetone. be done.
At this time, in the dispersion solution containing the aluminum particles, the organosilicon compound and the hydrolysis catalyst, the content of the organosilicon compound is 2 to 200 parts by mass, preferably 5 to 100 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the aluminum particles. be.
The content of the hydrolysis catalyst is 0.1 to 20 parts by mass, preferably 0.5 to 10 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of the aluminum particles.
The content of the hydrophilic solvent is 500 to 10,000 parts by mass, preferably 1,000 to 5,000 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of the aluminum particles.
アルミニウム粉顔料におけるケイ素の含有量は、アルミニウム粒子100質量部に対して1~20質量部であり、2~15質量部であると好ましい。ケイ素の含有量が1質量部未満であると、耐食性、水分散性および安定性が低下することがある。一方、ケイ素の含有量が20質量部を超えると、アルミニウム粉顔料が凝集したり、隠蔽性が低下したり、金属光沢感などの色調が損なわれるといった問題が生じることがある。 The content of silicon in the aluminum powder pigment is 1 to 20 parts by mass, preferably 2 to 15 parts by mass, per 100 parts by mass of the aluminum particles. If the silicon content is less than 1 part by mass, the corrosion resistance, water dispersibility and stability may deteriorate. On the other hand, when the content of silicon exceeds 20 parts by mass, problems may occur such as aggregation of the aluminum powder pigment, deterioration of hiding power, and loss of color tone such as metallic luster.
前記アルミニウム粉顔料のシリカ被膜には、アルミニウム粉顔料の耐食性をさらに改善するため、他の腐食抑制剤、例えば、酸性リン酸エステル、ダイマー酸、有機リン化合物およびモリブデン酸の金属塩などを添加してもよい。また、前記シリカ被膜は、非晶質シリカのみからなる被膜である必要はなく、本発明の特性を損なわない範囲で、他の添加物や不純物を含んでいてもよい。 In order to further improve the corrosion resistance of the aluminum powder pigment, other corrosion inhibitors such as acidic phosphoric acid esters, dimer acids, organophosphorus compounds and metal salts of molybdic acid are added to the silica coating of the aluminum powder pigment. may Further, the silica coating does not have to consist of only amorphous silica, and may contain other additives and impurities as long as the characteristics of the present invention are not impaired.
本発明の油性インク組成物は、前記アルミニウム粉顔料と、エタノールおよびプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルからなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一種の溶剤と、樹脂とを含有する。 The oil-based ink composition of the present invention contains the aluminum powder pigment, at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of ethanol and propylene glycol monomethyl ether, and a resin.
前記溶剤には、エタノールおよび/またはプロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルが用いられる。前記溶剤の含有割合は、油性インク組成物全量に対して、通常は60~95質量部、好ましくは70~90質量部とする。 Ethanol and/or propylene glycol monomethyl ether are used as the solvent. The content of the solvent is usually 60 to 95 parts by mass, preferably 70 to 90 parts by mass, relative to the total amount of the oil-based ink composition.
The resins are not limited as long as they are soluble in ethanol or propylene glycol monomethyl ether, and include terpene phenol resins, ketone resins, urea resins, nitrocellulose, alkylphenol resins, cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) resins, ester gum resins and Xylene resins are preferred. These resins may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together. The content of the resin is usually 1 to 20 parts by mass, preferably 2 to 15 parts by mass, relative to the total amount of the oil-based ink composition. When the content of the resin exceeds 20 parts by mass, the viscosity of the oil-based ink composition increases, which may lead to the tendency of the pen tip to solidify and, in turn, to reduce the luster. On the other hand, if the content of the resin is less than 1 part by mass, the dispersibility of the oil-based ink composition may deteriorate due to sedimentation of the aluminum powder pigment.
前記マーキングペン用油性インク組成物中、アルミニウム粉顔料と、溶剤と、樹脂との含有比は、油性インク組成物の全量を100質量%としたとき、1~15質量%:65~98質量%:1~20質量%であることが好ましい。アルミニウム粉顔料、溶剤および樹脂が前記の比率であるとき、ノンドライ性に優れる油性インクを提供することができる。 In the oil-based ink composition for marking pens, the content ratio of the aluminum powder pigment, the solvent, and the resin is 1 to 15% by mass: 65 to 98% by mass when the total amount of the oil-based ink composition is 100% by mass. : preferably 1 to 20% by mass. When the aluminum powder pigment, the solvent and the resin are in the above ratio, it is possible to provide an oil-based ink with excellent non-drying properties.
In addition to the aluminum powder pigment, solvent and resin, the oil-based ink composition may further contain a dye, if necessary.
Dyes are not particularly limited as long as they are soluble in propylene glycol monomethyl ether and ethanol. Examples thereof include alcohol-soluble dyes, solvent dyes such as spirit soluble dyes, and leuco dyes. When a dye is added, its content is preferably 1 to 10% with respect to the total amount of the oil-based ink composition.
In addition, a dissolution aid, fixation aid, and the like can be added to the oil-based ink composition of the present invention.
前記油性インク組成物は、従来から知られている方法で製造することができる。例えば、溶剤と、アルミニウム粉顔料と、樹脂および必要に応じて染料を所定量配合し、ホモミキサー、もしくはディスパー等の攪拌機により攪拌混合することによって得られる。必要に応じて、ろ過や遠心分離によって油性インク組成物中の粗大粒子を除去してもよい。 The oil-based ink composition can be produced by a conventionally known method. For example, it can be obtained by mixing predetermined amounts of a solvent, an aluminum powder pigment, a resin and, if necessary, a dye, and stirring and mixing them with a stirrer such as a homomixer or a disper. If necessary, coarse particles in the oil-based ink composition may be removed by filtration or centrifugation.
前記油性インク組成物の粘度(25℃)は、かすれなく筆記できるようにするという点で、通常は3~30mPa・sである。 The viscosity (at 25° C.) of the oil-based ink composition is usually 3 to 30 mPa·s from the viewpoint of enabling smooth writing.
本発明のマーキングペンは、油性インク組成物を搭載したものである。マーキングペンは、ペン本体にインクを含んだ中綿を内蔵し、その中綿に接触するようにペン先を取り付けた中綿式でもよいし、ペン本体にインクが直接充填された直液式でもよい。 The marking pen of the present invention is loaded with an oil-based ink composition. The marking pen may be of a filling type in which a filling containing ink is built in the pen body and a pen tip is attached so as to come into contact with the filling, or a direct liquid type in which the pen body is directly filled with ink.

In Comparative Example 2, in the same manner as in Comparative Example 2, except that a urea resin (trade name Laropearl A81, manufactured by BASF) was used instead of the ketone resin (trade name Ketone Resin 90, manufactured by Arakawa Chemical Industries, Ltd.). An ink composition was prepared to prepare a padding type marking pen.
Table 1 shows the content ratio of each component of the oil-based ink composition and the evaluation results.
[Comparative Example 4]
In Comparative Example 2, the same as Comparative Example 2 except that a terpene phenol resin (trade name Terpene Phenol YS Polyster S145, manufactured by Yasuhara Chemical Co., Ltd.) was used instead of the ketone resin (trade name Ketone Resin 90, manufactured by Arakawa Chemical Industries, Ltd.). Then, an oil-based ink composition was prepared, and a batting-type marking pen was produced.
Table 1 shows the content ratio of each component of the oil-based ink composition and the evaluation results.
In Comparative Examples 2 to 4, although fatty acid-treated aluminum was used, the addition amount of the resin was increased. However, since the resin content was increased, the nib of the pen was easily scratched and the non-drying property was deteriorated.
