ここで、x,y,zは、式(2)の範囲が好ましい。
式(1)の組成を有する第二の波長変換材36は、式(2)のパラメータの選択によって、ピーク波長λpとして、約770nmから約820nmの波長を有する近赤外蛍光を出射する。以下では、特に断らない限り、近赤外蛍光を近赤外光46と呼ぶ。また、第二の波長変換材36は、レーザ光20の照射が停止した後の近赤外光46の発光継続時間が、第一の波長変換材34であるYAG:Ce系蛍光体の白色光44の発光継続時間より十分に長くなる。

- 第一の波長変換材と、
第二の波長変換材と、
を含み、
前記第二の波長変換材の発光波長は、前記第一の波長変換材の発光波長よりも長波長であり、
前記第二の波長変換材において、励起光が停止してから蛍光が停止するまでの時間を残光時間として、前記残光時間は、前記第一の波長変換材の発光時間よりも長く、且つ、1s以下である、波長変換部材。 - 前記第一の波長変換材と前記第二の波長変換材とは、積層体として構成されている、請求項1に記載の波長変換部材。
- 前記第一の波長変換材と前記第二の波長変換材とは、混合体として構成されている、請求項1に記載の波長変換部材。
- 前記第二の波長変換材は、前記第一の波長変換材の発光によっても励起されている、請求項1に記載の波長変換部材。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか1に記載の波長変換部材と、
光源部と、
を備える、光源装置。 - 前記光源部が間欠点灯する場合に、前記第一の波長変換材の発光の光強度が前記第二の波長変換材の発光の光強度の50%以下である状態が存在する、請求項5に記載の光源装置。
- 請求項1から4のいずれか1に記載の波長変換部材と、
光源部と、
前記波長変換部材と前記光源部との間に設けられたライトガイドと、
を備える、照明装置。
