Abstract
Description
例えば、昇圧コンバータを通過して昇圧または降圧される電力(以下、通過電力という)の増加、或いは高温の環境下での作動等は、昇圧コンバータを温度上昇させて過熱による機能障害を引き起こす要因になることから、部品保護の観点より所定の高温域では通過電力を制限する対策が採られている。そして、このような電力制限は、走行バッテリから走行モータに供給される電力のみならず、上記シリーズモード等でのモータジェネレータからの発電電力も対象となる。
本発明はこのような問題点を解決するためになされたもので、その目的とするところは、昇圧コンバータの温度上昇時に通過電力を制限して保護を図った上で、その時点の車両の走行状態を維持しながら、通過電力の制限に起因するバッテリへの充電量の減少を回避して十分な車両の航続距離を確保することができるハイブリッド車両の電力制御装置を提供することにある。
この態様によれば、一方の車輪及び他方の車輪をそれぞれ駆動して車両を走行可能となる。
この態様によれば、本発明のハイブリッド車両を2輪駆動車として構成可能となる。
その他の態様として、前記電力制限手段が、前記変圧装置が温度上昇するほど電力制限値を低下側に設定し、該電力制限値に基づき前記変圧装置の通過電力を制限し、前記バッテリの充電率を推定する充電率推定手段と、前記変圧装置の通過電力の制限に応じて前記クラッチを接続する際に、前記充電率推定手段により推定された充電率に基づき前記バッテリの充電を要すると判定し、且つ前記電力制限値が実用的な充電電力の下限に設定された下限判定値を超えていると判定した場合に、前記一方の車輪もしくは他方の車輪を駆動中の前記エンジンに前記発電機を駆動させ、発電電力を前記変圧装置により降圧して前記バッテリに充電するバッテリ充電手段とをさらに備えることが好ましい(請求項4)。
その他の態様として、前記バッテリ充電手段が、前記クラッチを接続する際に、前記充電率推定手段により推定された充電率に基づき前記走行バッテリの充電を要すると判定し、且つ前記電力制限値が前記下限判定値未満であると判定した場合に、前記第1の走行モータを回生制御して回生電力を前記バッテリに充電することが好ましい(請求項5)。
その他の態様として、前記バッテリ充電手段が、前記エンジンに前記発電機を駆動させる際に前記発電機の駆動負荷分だけ前記エンジンの出力を増加させることが好ましい(請求項6)。
その他の態様として、前記バッテリ充電手段が、前記第1の走行モータを回生制御する際に該第1の走行モータの回生負荷分だけ前記エンジンの出力を増加させることが好ましい(請求項7)。
図1は本実施形態の電力制御装置が適用されたプラグインハイブリッド車両を示す全体構成図である。
本実施形態の車両1は、フロントモータ2(第2の走行モータ)の出力またはフロントモータ2及びエンジン3の出力により前輪4(他方の車輪)を駆動し、リヤモータ5(第1の走行モータ)の出力により後輪6(一方の車輪)を駆動するように構成された4輪駆動車である。
フロントモータ2及びモータジェネレータ11にはそれぞれインバータ16,17が接続され、これらのインバータ16,17は昇圧コンバータ(変圧装置)18に接続されている。リヤモータ5にはインバータ19が接続され、このインバータ19と走行バッテリ20とが昇圧コンバータ18に接続されている。走行バッテリ20はリチウムイオン電池等の二次電池から構成され、そのSOC(充電率)の算出や温度TBATの検出を行うバッテリモニタリングユニット20a(充電率推定手段)を内蔵している。
なお、図示はしないが走行バッテリ20には充電器が備えられ、この充電器を用いて外部電源から供給される電力を任意に走行バッテリ20に充電可能となっている。
車両ECU27は、車両1の総合的な制御を行うための制御ユニットであり、この車両ECU27からの指令を受けた下位の各ECU24〜26により、上記のようなフロントモータ2、モータジェネレータ11、リヤモータ5、エンジン3の各運転状態が制御される。そのために、車両ECU27の入力側には、走行バッテリ20のバッテリモニタリングユニット20a、昇圧コンバータ18の温度Tcvtrを検出する温度センサ28、及び図示しないアクセル開度を検出するアクセル開度センサや車速Vを検出する車速センサ等のセンサ類が接続されると共に、フロントモータ2、モータジェネレータ11、リヤモータ5及びエンジン3の各作動様態が各ECU24〜26を介して入力される。
そして、車両ECU27は、アクセル開度センサ等の上記各種検出量及び作動情報に基づき、車両1の走行モードをEVモード、シリーズモード、パラレルモードの間で切り換える。例えば、高速領域のようにエンジン3の効率が高い領域では、走行モードをパラレルモードとする。また、中低速領域では、走行バッテリ20のSOC等に基づきEVモードとシリーズモードとの間で切り換える。
また、車両ECU27は、上記各種検出量及び作動情報に基づき車両1の走行に必要な総要求出力を算出し、その総要求出力を、EVモード及びシリーズモードではフロントモータ2側とリヤモータ5側とに配分し、パラレルモードではフロントモータ2側とエンジン3側とリヤモータ5側とに配分する。そして、それぞれに配分した要求出力等に基づき、フロントモータ2、リヤモータ5及びエンジン3の各要求トルクを設定し、それぞれの要求トルクを達成するようにフロントモータECU24、リヤモータECU25及びエンジンECU26に指令信号を出力する。
一方、車両ECU27は昇圧コンバータ18を制御し、高圧及び低圧回路21,22間で遣り取りされる電力を昇圧及び降圧させる。昇圧及び降圧によりフロントモータ2やモータジェネレータ11及びそれらのインバータ16,17等の効率が向上する反面、昇圧コンバータ18は作動に伴って電力消費する。このため、例えば特に良好な効率が得られるもしくは高出力が必要なフロントモータ2やモータジェネレータ11の高回転高負荷域で昇圧コンバータ18を作動させ、それ以外の運転領域では昇圧コンバータ18を停止させている。
説明の前提として、現在コンバータ温度Tcvtrが下限温度T0以上であることを受けて、電力制限値Wlimitに基づく昇圧コンバータ18の電力制限が実施されており、走行モードとしてシリーズモードが選択されて車両1が走行中であるものとする。
また、電力制限値Wlimitが第1の判定値W1未満である場合(本発明の「変圧装置の通過電力が制限された場合」に相当)には、ステップS1でYes(肯定)の判定を下してステップS3でパラレルモードに切り換える(接続手段)。即ち、クラッチ8を接続した上でエンジン3を運転し、その駆動力を前輪4に伝達させる。パラレルモードへの切換に伴いフロントモータ2及びリヤモータ5の駆動は中止され、車両1は前輪4に対して機械的に接続されたエンジン3の駆動力のみで走行する。続くステップS4では走行バッテリ20のSOCに基づき充電を要するか否かを判定し、Noのときには一旦ルーチンを終了する。
続くステップS9ではリヤモータ5の回生負荷分だけエンジン出力を増加させ(バッテリ充電手段)、その後にルーチンを終了する。この処理の趣旨は上記ステップS7と同様であり、リヤモータ5を回生負荷分により前輪4の駆動力が低下したときの運転者への失速感を防止し、良好な車両1のドライバビリティを保つことができる。
以下の表では、エンジン(E/G)3、フロントモータ(FM)2及びリヤモータ(RM)5の出力、モータジェネレータ(MG)11の発電量、走行バッテリ20の充電量、昇圧コンバータ(CVTR)18の通過電力を直接比較するために無次元化し、且つ各機器での損失は無いものとしている。
まず下表1は、昇圧コンバータ18の電力制限値Wlimitが第1の判定値W1以下であり(図3のステップS1がYes)、且つ走行バッテリ20が充電を要しないケース(ステップS4がNo)を示している。
現時点で走行バッテリ20を充電する必要はないが、例えばパラレルモード中にエンジン駆動力の不足によりバッテリ電力を使ってフロントモータ2やリヤモータ5を駆動した場合には、その後の走行バッテリ20のSOCの低下により充電を要する状況に変わることもある。このような状況に移行する以前の段階で、上記例示では昇圧コンバータ18の通過電力が0にされるため、昇圧コンバータ18の温度低下が促される。よって、図2のマップに基づく電力制限値Wlimitが増加して第1の判定値W1を超え、車両ECU27は図3のステップS1からステップS2に移行し、通常の走行モードの切換制御に復帰する。
一方、下表2は、走行バッテリ20が充電を要するケース(図3のステップS4がYes)を示し、その中段は、昇圧コンバータ18の電力制限値Wlimitが第1の判定値W1から第2の判定値W2の間にあるケース(ステップS5がNo)を、下段は、昇圧コンバータ18の電力制限値Wlimitが第2の判定値W1以下であるケース(ステップS5がYes)を示している。
中段のケースにおいて、パラレルモードへの切換後にはリヤモータ5側への電力供給が中止されるため、昇圧コンバータ18の通過電力は走行バッテリ20の充電量に相当する20まで低下する。そして、表1の下段と表2の中段との比較から判るように、エンジン出力を増加させることにより、走行バッテリ20の充電に伴うモータジェネレータ11の駆動負荷分を補っている(図3のステップS7)。従って、車両1の走行状態をパラレルモードによって維持しながら、所期の充電量20を維持して走行バッテリ20への充電を継続できる。
一方、中段のケースに比較して下段のケースでは昇圧コンバータ18に対するより厳しい電力制限への対処として、モータジェネレータ11の発電量と共に昇圧コンバータ18の通過電力が10まで低下される。そして、走行バッテリ20の充電量の不足分は、リヤモータ5を回生制御して得た回生電力を走行バッテリ20に充電して補われる。リヤモータ5と走行バッテリ20とは共に低圧回路21側であるため、昇圧コンバータ18を経ることなく(電力制限を受けることなく)、リヤモータ5からの回生電力を走行バッテリ20に充電可能である。
そこで本実施形態では、図3のフローチャートで述べたように、まずモータジェネレータ11を発電させて走行バッテリ20を充電し、昇圧コンバータ18の電力制限により継続不能となった場合に、リヤモータ5の回生に切り換えてバッテリ充電を継続しており、これにより良好なドライバビリティを確保した上で、走行バッテリ20への充電量を最大限に増加させることができる。
図4は前輪駆動のハイブリッド車両101に適用した別例を示している。機械的な構成は図1に示す実施形態と同様であり、単に呼称がフロントモータ2からモータ2に、フロントモータECU24からモータECU24に変更されているだけである。但し、モータジェネレータ11及びインバータ17は昇圧コンバータ18に接続されて、本実施形態と同じく高圧回路22を構成するのに対し、モータ2及びインバータ16は走行バッテリ20と共に低圧回路21を構成している点が相違する。

Claims (7)
- 車両の前輪又は後輪のいずれか一方の車輪を駆動する第1の走行モータと、
前記一方の車輪もしくは前記車両の前輪又は後輪のいずれか他方の車輪を、クラッチを介して駆動するエンジンと、
前記エンジンにより駆動される発電機と、
前記発電機から前記第1の走行モータ及びバッテリに供給される発電電力を降圧する変圧装置と、
前記変圧装置の温度に基づいて該変圧装置の通過電力を制限する電力制限手段と、
前記変圧装置の通過電力が制限された場合に、前記クラッチを接続する接続手段と
を備えたことを特徴とするハイブリッド車両の電力制御装置。 - 前記他方の車輪を、前記発電機からの発電電力または前記変圧装置により昇圧された前記バッテリからの放電電力の少なくとも一方を供給されて、駆動する第2の走行モータをさらに備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハイブリッド車両の電力制御装置。 - 前記第1の走行モータが駆動する車輪と、前記エンジンが駆動する車輪とが同一である
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハイブリッド車両の電力制御装置。 - 前記電力制限手段は、前記変圧装置が温度上昇するほど電力制限値を低下側に設定し、該電力制限値に基づき前記変圧装置の通過電力を制限し、
前記バッテリの充電率を推定する充電率推定手段と、
前記変圧装置の通過電力の制限に応じて前記クラッチを接続する際に、前記充電率推定手段により推定された充電率に基づき前記バッテリの充電を要すると判定し、且つ前記電力制限値が実用的な充電電力の下限に設定された下限判定値を超えていると判定した場合に、前記一方の車輪もしくは他方の車輪を駆動中の前記エンジンに前記発電機を駆動させ、発電電力を前記変圧装置により降圧して前記バッテリに充電するバッテリ充電手段と
をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハイブリッド車両の電力制御装置。 - 前記バッテリ充電手段は、前記クラッチを接続する際に、前記充電率推定手段により推定された充電率に基づき前記走行バッテリの充電を要すると判定し、且つ前記電力制限値が前記下限判定値未満であると判定した場合に、前記第1の走行モータを回生制御して回生電力を前記バッテリに充電する
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載のハイブリッド車両の電力制御装置。 - 前記バッテリ充電手段は、前記エンジンに前記発電機を駆動させる際に前記発電機の駆動負荷分だけ前記エンジンの出力を増加させる
