Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an imaging apparatus such as a digital X-ray imaging apparatus.
In recent years, an X-ray imaging system that captures an X-ray image of a subject as a digital image has been developed. This X-ray imaging system has an advantage that an image can be recorded over an extremely wide X-ray exposure area as compared with an X-ray photography system using a conventional film.
In the X-ray imaging system, X-rays having a very wide dynamic range are photoelectrically converted via, for example, a scintillator and read as an electric signal, and this electric signal is further converted into a digital signal. Then, by processing the digital signal and outputting the X-ray image as a visible image to a recording material such as a photographic material or a display device, a good X-ray image can be obtained even if the X-ray exposure varies to some extent. It is supposed to be.
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, image pickup devices have increased in pixel definition and number of pixels. For example, an image pickup device having a large screen exceeding 11 inches square and 2000 pixels × 2000 pixels has been developed. The user can acquire an image with an arbitrary size designation / pixel number designation according to the imaging target region and the X-ray irradiation field.
For example,
In addition, in order to image X-rays in a wide dynamic range, for example, an imaging apparatus that acquires signals with two sensitivities of high sensitivity and low sensitivity and generates image data has been developed. As one method for achieving this operation mode, a method may be considered in which two signal holding units are provided in each sensor, and signals obtained with respective sensitivities are individually held and read out by the respective holding units.
In some cases, the pixel includes a defective pixel whose output signal level is not sufficient. When correcting the image signal including the signal from the defective pixel, the data is read from the memory holding the coordinate information of the defective pixel, and the defective pixel is identified and corrected. In an imaging apparatus capable of setting a plurality of imaging modes, it is necessary to generate data for determining defective pixels based on coordinate information of defective pixels corresponding to the imaging modes, but there is a burden of generating such data. that was so hard.
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an imaging apparatus that is advantageous for determining pixel defects in different imaging modes.
An imaging device of the present invention includes a flat panel sensor having a plurality of imaging modes and a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, and a memory in which a plurality of discrimination information respectively corresponding to the plurality of imaging modes is stored. The discrimination information indicates whether each pixel from which a signal is read from the flat panel sensor is a normal pixel or a defective pixel in an imaging mode corresponding to the discrimination information.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an imaging apparatus that is advantageous for determining pixel defects in different imaging modes.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[Embodiment 1]
The whole flat panel radiation imaging system will be described with reference to FIG. The radiation imaging system includes an
The

The
The image processing /
Image processing and image data communication speeds are increasing as the number of pixels in the imaging unit increases and the amount of data handled increases, and a high frame rate is required. ing. For communication between the
The defective pixel correction process will be described with reference to FIG. The correction processing unit is composed of, for example, an FPGA. Discrimination information indicating whether each pixel of the
The discrimination information is read from the
Here, it is not necessary to prepare the capacity of the
The processing for the defective pixel includes, for example, replacing the defective pixel with a value using data of surrounding normal pixels, or replacing the pixel value of the defective pixel with zero. In the processing method of replacing the pixel value of the defective pixel with zero, the pixel information value of the defective pixel is obtained by ANDing the image data and the determination information for each pixel by setting the value of the defective pixel determination information to zero. Converted to zero. The image data processed in parallel by each
The user can acquire an image in which an arbitrary size and number of pixels are designated according to the imaging target region and the X-ray irradiation field. This is advantageous in reducing the image data size and increasing the frame rate and the image processing speed by cutting unnecessary image portions such as outside the imaging target region and outside X-ray irradiation and reducing the image size. .
The setting of the size and the number of pixels of the image output from the imaging apparatus is set by a communication command between the image processing /
In this embodiment, the discrimination information is arranged on the
FIG. 3 shows the order of reading image data from the
Next, the arrangement of the discrimination information stored in the
FIG. 4 shows an example of a format for arranging the discrimination information in the
The arrangement of the discrimination information in the
Further, the order of reading image signals from the area sensor may change depending on the imaging mode. For example, there is a case where imaging is performed in a dynamic range expansion mode using a sensor that can read out image signals having different sensitivities by one X-ray irradiation. In this case, the high gain image signal acquired with high sensitivity per pixel and the low gain image signal acquired with low sensitivity are sequentially read, and the obtained two image data are combined by the image processing apparatus. At this time, the high gain image signal and the low gain image signal are accumulated in separate holding units, and processing for reading out each image signal is performed. A readout method for alternately outputting a high gain image signal and a low gain image signal for each row in order to reduce the number of line feeds in order to shorten the readout time of the image signal from the flat panel sensor at the time of readout. Is used. After the High gain image signal and Low gain image signal for one row are read out from the holding unit, the High gain image signal and Low gain image signal in the next row are read out. When the reading of a predetermined row is completed, the reading is sequentially performed for each row, such as reading the next row.
When the image signal is read out twice per pixel as described above, the discrimination information is arranged in the
The discrimination information is read from the
The address for starting the reading of the discrimination information from the
By setting the reading start address of the discrimination information and the amount of data to be read according to the setting of the image size, the discrimination information is read from the
Whether or not a pixel is determined as a defective pixel depends on the sensitivity setting of the sensor and the pixel addition mode setting. A pixel that is determined to be a defective pixel in one sensitivity setting may not be defective in another sensitivity setting. In addition, when a pixel to be added in the pixel addition mode includes a defective pixel, the added pixel is often treated as a defective pixel. Therefore, the discrimination information is individually stored in areas starting from different addresses, for example, as shown in FIG. 6, corresponding to imaging modes such as sensitivity change and pixel addition mode setting. For example, the discrimination information of the low gain setting / pixel addition mode of 2 × 2 pixels is stored in an area starting from the address 0x0006 — 0000 in the

[Embodiment 2]
In the second embodiment, an example in which an optical black area (OB area) is arranged on the
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, the discrimination information includes optical black area discrimination information (indicated by OB) and imaging area discrimination information (indicated by IMG) for outputting a captured signal in order. Arrange them side by side. A case where an image size to be acquired is set in an imaging mode including an optical black area will be described. According to the set image size, the reading start address of the discrimination information of the optical black area and the reading start address of the discrimination information of the imaging area are individually set. For this purpose, the
On the other hand, in the case of the imaging mode setting that does not include the optical black area, the discrimination information readout start address and readout size of the imaging area are set (S94). Only the discrimination information of the imaging area is read by continuous burst data by DMA burst transfer according to the read start address / read size setting.
Thereby, the discrimination information is read from the
As described above, the present invention is not limited to the imaging mode, the image reading order in the imaging mode, and the defect information arrangement method described in the embodiment, but the purpose, state, application, function, and other specifications. Accordingly, changes can be made as appropriate and can be made in other embodiments.
