Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an acidic gas absorbing liquid that absorbs acidic gas and an acidic gas separation and recovery method using the acidic gas absorbing liquid.
The technology for separating and recovering acidic gas, especially carbon dioxide, is necessary for the production of hydrogen and methane using natural gas as raw materials, maintenance of living environments in closed space such as outer space and the sea, etc. From the viewpoint of reducing emissions, active research is being conducted on mass emission sources such as thermal power plants and steelworks. In addition, removal of acidic gases other than carbon dioxide such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, hydrogen sulfide, inorganic acids and organic acids is an industrially and socially important technology. As an acid gas separation technique, a physical absorption method, a chemical absorption method, a membrane separation method, an adsorption method, and the like are known.
Among these, the chemical absorption method is an acid gas separation technique using an absorbing solution that chemically reacts with an acid gas. For example, a gas containing an acid gas is brought into contact with the absorbing solution at around room temperature, the acidic gas is chemically absorbed by the absorbing solution, and the gas having a reduced acid gas concentration is separated from the absorbing solution that has absorbed the acid gas. And by heating up the separated absorption liquid, acidic gas is dissipated from absorption liquid and acidic gas is collect | recovered. Further, the absorbing liquid from which the acid gas has been released is regenerated and used again for separation and recovery of the acid gas.
As this chemical absorption method, for example,
On the other hand, the physical absorption method is an acid gas separation technique using a liquid that can physically absorb acid gas, and utilizes the pressure dependency of the amount of acid gas absorption. For example, a gas containing an acid gas is brought into contact with the absorption liquid under high pressure, the absorption liquid absorbs the acid gas, and the gas having a reduced acid gas concentration is separated from the absorption liquid that has absorbed the acid gas. Then, by reducing the pressure of the separated absorption liquid, the acid gas is diffused from the absorption liquid to recover the acid gas. Further, the absorbing liquid from which the acid gas has been released is regenerated and used again for separation and recovery of the acid gas.
As this physical absorption method, for example, in
However, the conventional chemical absorption method is a technique with excellent versatility, but a high temperature condition of 100 ° C. or higher is required to regenerate the absorbing solution, or the chemical bond between the absorbing solution and carbon dioxide is broken. In addition to the heat of reaction, the heat energy required for the temperature rise and evaporation of the water having a large specific heat capacity is greatly increased, and the heat energy required for the regeneration of the absorbing solution is remarkably large. Further, since the absorbing solution volatilizes due to the temperature rise, an additional facility such as a recovery device has to be installed, which requires excessive capital investment. The carbon dioxide separation and recovery method described in
Here, the ionic liquid is generally a liquid salt composed of a cation and an anion, and its characteristics are that it has a very low vapor pressure, is flame retardant, and is thermally and chemically stable. And being a liquid in a wide temperature range and having a low specific heat. Therefore, the ionic liquid has the above-mentioned non-volatile and low specific heat characteristics required for the absorbing liquid. However, research using an ionic liquid as an absorption liquid for an acid gas separation and recovery method is still insufficient.

(Acid gas separation and recovery method)
Next, an acid gas separation and recovery method using the acid gas absorbent of the present invention will be described.
The acidic gas is absorbed by the acidic gas absorbing liquid by bringing the acidic gas absorbing liquid into contact with a mixed gas containing two or more components containing acidic gas, and the acidic gas is selectively selected from the mixed gas. To separate.
Examples of the acidic gas include acidic acids such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur oxide, nitrogen oxide, inorganic acids (hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.), and organic acids (carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, carbonic acid, etc.). Although the gas is mentioned, the acidic gas separation and recovery method using the acidic gas absorbing liquid of the present invention is particularly excellent in the separation and recovery of carbon dioxide. The mixed gas is not particularly limited as long as it is a gaseous mixture containing these acidic gases. Moreover, the kind and composition of the acidic gas contained in the mixed gas are not particularly limited.
In the acidic gas separation and recovery method of the present invention, the acidic gas absorption liquid is brought into contact with the mixed gas containing the acidic gas, whereby the acidic gas is chemically absorbed in the ionic liquid contained in the acidic gas absorbent, and the mixed gas The acid gas is selectively separated from the gas (absorption process).
In the acidic gas separation and recovery method of the present invention, the temperature of the absorption step for chemically absorbing the acidic gas into the ionic liquid contained in the acidic gas absorbing liquid is not particularly limited, but is usually near room temperature (25 ° C. ± 30 ° C. ) Or room temperature (25 ° C.) or less. The contact method between the mixed gas and the acidic gas absorbing liquid is not particularly limited as long as the acidic gas is chemically absorbed by the acidic gas absorbing liquid. For example, a method of bubbling a mixed gas in the acid gas absorbing solution, a method of showering or spraying the acid gas absorbing solution on the mixed gas, a method of contacting the mixed gas with a material impregnated or gelled with the acid gas absorbing solution, etc. Can be mentioned.
In the acidic gas separation and recovery method of the present invention, the acidic gas can be physically absorbed by the acidic gas absorbent. The pressure in the absorption step for physical absorption is not particularly limited, but is usually atmospheric pressure or higher, preferably 2 MPa or higher, more preferably 4 MPa or higher. The method for contacting the mixed gas and the acidic gas absorbing liquid is not particularly limited as long as the acidic gas is physically absorbed by the acidic gas absorbing liquid. For example, the method similar to the method of making it absorb chemically mentioned above is mentioned. The physical absorption and the chemical absorption described above can be performed in separate steps or simultaneously.
The acidic gas absorbing liquid that has absorbed the acidic gas is, for example, separated from the mixed gas and the acidic gas absorbing liquid that has absorbed the acidic gas, and the separated acidic gas absorbing liquid is heated to dissipate the acidic gas. The gas absorption liquid can be regenerated and reused (heating regeneration process).
When heating an acidic gas absorption liquid, acidic gas can be diffused by setting to temperature conditions 5-100 degreeC higher than the temperature which absorbed acidic gas. For example, it is preferable that the acid gas absorption liquid that has absorbed the acid gas is heated to a temperature higher than the temperature at the time of absorption, the absorbed acid gas is diffused and recovered, and the acid gas absorption liquid is regenerated. When acid gas is diffused under a temperature condition of 100 ° C. or lower, unused low-grade waste heat of 100 ° C. or lower can be used, which is energy saving as compared with the prior art that requires a heat source of 100 ° C. or higher.
It is also possible to regenerate and reuse the acidic gas absorbing liquid by releasing the acidic gas by reducing the pressure during the heating and regenerating process. Further, in place of the heating regeneration step or as a separate step, the acidic gas absorbing liquid that has absorbed the acidic gas is separated from the mixed gas and the acidic gas absorbing liquid that has absorbed the acidic gas. By depressurizing the absorbing liquid, the acidic gas is diffused, and the acidic gas absorbing liquid can be regenerated and reused (reduced pressure regeneration step).
When reducing the pressure of the acid gas absorption liquid, the acid gas can be diffused by setting the pressure to a lower pressure than the pressure at which the acid gas is absorbed. The pressure condition can be set according to the target acidic gas removal process. The temperature at which the acidic gas absorbing liquid is depressurized is not particularly limited, but is preferably a temperature at which the acidic gas is absorbed, that is, near room temperature (25 ° C. ± 30 ° C.) or above room temperature (25 ° C.).
In particular, in the heating regeneration step, it is preferable that the temperature is higher than the temperature at the time of absorption and 100 ° C. or less, 50% or more of the absorbed acid gas is diffused and recovered, and the acid gas absorbing liquid is regenerated.
The apparatus for regenerating the acid gas absorption liquid is not particularly limited as long as the absorbed acid gas is diffused and the ionic liquid in the acid gas absorption liquid is regenerated.
According to the acidic gas separation and recovery method of the present invention, the acidic gas removal efficiency of the process can be enhanced by using an ionic liquid having a large amount of acidic gas that can be recovered by a temperature change during absorption and release. In addition, compared with the conventional acid gas separation and recovery method, low-grade waste heat of 100 ° C. or less that has not been used so far can be used effectively, so that the heat energy required for regeneration of the acid gas absorbing liquid can be reduced. Furthermore, by controlling the molecular structure and concentration of the ionic liquid contained in the acidic gas absorbing liquid, it is possible to provide an optimum separation process for the target acidic gas.
