Abstract
Description
前記燃焼室を構成するシリンダヘッドの底面において、前記キャビティに対向するキャビティ領域における断熱膜の表面粗度よりも、前記キャビティ領域の周縁においてスキッシュエリアを構成する周縁領域における断熱膜の表面粗度を小さく形成したことを特徴とする。
前記キャビティ領域における断熱膜の膜厚よりも、前記周縁領域における断熱膜の膜厚を薄く形成したことを特徴とする。
前記周縁領域における断熱膜の膜厚は、前記キャビティ領域との接続部において連続的に変化し、前記キャビティ領域から離れるほど薄く形成したことを特徴とする。
前記ピストンの頂面には、ピストン母材よりも熱伝導率が低く尚且つ単位体積当たりの熱容量が低い断熱膜が形成され、
前記ピストンの頂面における断熱膜の表面粗度を、前記周縁領域における断熱膜の表面粗度と同等に形成したことを特徴とする。
前記キャビティにおける前記断熱膜の膜厚よりも、前記キャビティの周縁における前記断熱膜の膜厚を薄く形成したことを特徴とする。
先ず、本発明の実施の形態1について図1乃至図9を参照しながら説明する。
次に、本発明の実施の形態2について図10を参照しながら説明する。実施の形態2の特徴は、シリンダヘッド18の底面だけでなく、ピストン14の頂面にも断熱膜34を形成したことにある。従って、以下においては、主にこの特徴について説明を行う。

Claims (5)
- キャビティが形成されたピストンの頂面と、前記頂面と共に燃焼室を構成すると共に、母材よりも熱伝導率が低く尚且つ単位体積当たりの熱容量が低い断熱膜が形成されたシリンダヘッドの底面と、を備える内燃機関であって、
前記燃焼室を構成するシリンダヘッドの底面において、前記キャビティに対向するキャビティ領域における断熱膜の表面粗度よりも、前記キャビティ領域の周縁においてスキッシュエリアを構成する周縁領域における断熱膜の表面粗度を小さく形成したことを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 前記キャビティ領域における断熱膜の膜厚よりも、前記周縁領域における断熱膜の膜厚を薄く形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記周縁領域における断熱膜の膜厚は、前記キャビティ領域との接続部において連続的に変化し、前記キャビティ領域から離れるほど薄く形成したことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記ピストンの頂面には、ピストン母材よりも熱伝導率が低く尚且つ単位体積当たりの熱容量が低い断熱膜が形成され、
前記ピストンの頂面における断熱膜の表面粗度を、前記周縁領域における断熱膜の表面粗度と同等に形成したことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3何れか1項に記載の内燃機関。 - 前記キャビティにおける前記断熱膜の膜厚よりも、前記キャビティの周縁における前記断熱膜の膜厚を薄く形成したことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内燃機関。
