本発明は、患者に薬剤を送達するシステムと方法に関する。特に、本発明は、薬剤の皮下注射と、注入薬剤の有効性を向上する1またはそれ以上の処置ソースを使用するシステムおよび方法に関する。
ペン型注射器は、正式な医療教育を受けていない人物による定期的な注射に有用である。これは、糖尿病などの慢性症状を有する人物が自身の状態を有効に自己処置で管理しうる場合に益々一般的となっている。ペン型インシュリン注射器の多くは再利用可能であり、通常は数日にわたって複数回注射利用できるインシュリンカートリッジが装填されている。他の多くの糖尿病患者は、インシュリン注射に通常のシリンジと針を用いている。
糖尿病は、今日数百万人がかかっている非常に深刻な病気である。多くの糖尿病患者は、生き延びるために自身の血液中のグルコースレベルを正常に維持すべくインシュリン注射を必要とする。このようなインシュリン注射には、薬剤注射システムが必要である。
多くの医療処置システムおよび方法は、治療薬、薬剤、プロテイン、および他の化合物の皮下注射を用いる薬剤注射システムを含む。このような送達システムおよび方法は、特にインシュリン送達では、皮下組織にインシュリンを注射するのに注射ペンを用いるが、通常のシリンジを用いる。従来のインシュリン注射ペンでは、ペンが、使い捨てのインシュリンリザーバと、インシュリンを組織内へ注射する使い捨ての針を具える。この針はシングルユースの針であるが、インシュリンリザーバは2−3日使用可能である。従来のインシュリン注射ペンでは、インシュリン注射ペンを注射箇所の皮膚にあて、最初にバネで針を皮下組織へ挿入し次に皮下組織へインシュリンを注入するためのボタンを押す。
多くの場合、患者は血液中のグルコースレベルを正しく維持するために昼夜兼行でインシュリンを注射する必要がある。インシュリンを注射する2つの主な種類は、食間および夜間に患者の血中グルコースを所望の範囲内に維持するのに必要な基礎インシュリンレートを提供する長時間作用のインシュリンと、患者が消費する炭水化物の一回量に相当するインシュリン量を提供するインシュリンボーラス注射である。
患者が食物を摂取すると、彼又は彼女のグルコースレベルは上昇する。しかしながら、多くの従来の皮下注射器具は、血中グルコースの上昇に素早く対処および/または防止するものではなかった。この対処の遅れは、「迅速作用」インシュリンの場合でも該当する。この遅れの理由の一つには、注射箇所からのインシュリンの吸収の遅延と、複雑なインシュリンの分子がモノマーに分解する時間がある。
さらに、血中グルコースレベルは食事のすぐ後に上昇するが、この上昇レベルにインシュリンを合致させる遅れは、食後の高血糖症状(すなわち、血中グルコースが通常以上の場合)が生じる原因となる。時折、食後の所定時間経過後(例えば2−3時間)、血中グルコースレベルは下降するが、全身のインシュリン作用のピークに続いて血中のインシュリン濃度が上昇し、低血糖症状(例えば、血中グルコースレベルが通常以下の場合)が起きる場合がある。高血糖と低血糖の症状はともに非常に望ましくない。さらに、インシュリン注射箇所の局所的な血流は、周囲の温度や他のパラメータにより大きく変動するため、インシュリンの作用の時間プロファイルのピークの遅れには多くの変動が生じる。このようなインシュリンのピーク作用時間の変動はさらに、血中グルコースレベルの変動を増長する。
したがって、患者の循環系に薬剤の注入と吸収を効率的かつ迅速に提供するシステムおよび方法を提供することが望まれていた。特に、通常の血中グルコースレベルを維持するためにインシュリンの有効性を向上し、高血糖や低血糖の症状を回避する、患者へのインシュリン注射システムおよび方法の提供が望まれていた。
本発明は、注射により薬剤送達の効率を向上させるための組織治療要素を提供しうる、薬剤、物質、および/または化合物を患者に注射するシステム、器具、および方法に関する。いくつかの実施例では、本発明は注射ペンかシリンジの形態で、薬剤送達の性能を向上する器具に関する。通常、本発明の提案する方法と器具は、例えば注射ペン、シリンジ、または噴射式注射器、あるいは他の注射器具など多くの薬剤の注射器具に用いることができる。このように、本願は主に注射ペンを記述するが、当業者はこの器具は他の注射器具にも利用可能であることを理解するであろう。いくつかの実施例では、本発明は、薬剤を送達する組織領域にさらなる治療を適用する器具を提供する。いくつかの実施例では、この治療は、薬剤の薬物動力学的および/または薬力学的プロファイルを増進することにより薬剤送達プロセスを向上させるのに利用される。この治療は、例えば、鎮痛薬や、血管拡張薬、その他を含む様々な形態で実現可能である。この治療は、注射する組織の血管拡張を増進する様々な形態の治療でよく、限定しないが、薬剤の薬物動力学的および/または薬力学的プロファイルを増進するために、あるエネルギ、放射線、熱、機械的振動、吸引、マッサージ、音響刺激、電磁放射、電界、磁界、電気刺激、さらなる物質の注入、または上記いずれかの組み合わせ、に組織領域をさらすことを含む。各治療の種類は、血管拡張その他の必要な反応を喚起するための別個のプロファイルを有してもよい。
いくつかの実施例では、本発明は、治療要素に結合された針無しの薬剤送達ペンを提供してもよい。この治療要素は、液体噴射を用いて対象組織に送達される薬剤の薬物動力学的および/または薬力学的プロファイルを増進する。例えばインシュリン等の薬剤を扱う薬剤送達噴射器は、インシュリンを液体噴霧内に発射して送達部位の患者の組織に伝搬するのに十分な速度に構成されるジェットノズルである。このノズルには薬剤収容区画が設けられ、薬剤を包蔵しインシュリンを供給ノズルに送って噴射させる。発射機構は、薬剤区画に接続され薬剤を目標部位に伝搬するのに十分な速度でノズルから押し出すエネルギ源を具える。いくつかの実施例では、液体噴霧を生成するエネルギ源は、コイルスプリング、ガススプリング、または他の様々なスプリングとすることができる。薬剤供給噴射器のトリガまたは投薬発射ボタンはユーザにより操作可能であり、発射ボタンが作動したらノズルから薬剤を押し出すことにより薬液ジェットを生成するエネルギ源を動作させる発射機構と接続されている。
いくつかの実施例では、治療により、薬剤注入部位の組織の神経刺激を通じて血管拡張が生じる。この神経刺激は、熱刺激および/または機械刺激および/または化学刺激により引きおこすことができる。熱刺激に対する人間の神経反応は、他の作用のうちとりわけ血管拡張を引きおこす侵害受容性軸索反射(Nociceptive Axon Reflex)などのいくつかのメカニズムを含む。
いくつかの実施例では、侵害受容性軸索反射などの神経反応はまた、毛細孔を広げ、毛細壁の浸透性を増進する。この作用もまた、毛細壁を通した薬剤の吸収を増進するのに重要である。
いくつかの実施例では、治療薬により、血中またはリンパ系の薬剤吸収や、局所あるいは全身の作用の変動が低減する。例えば、薬剤の注射と血中への吸収の後に、薬剤送達領域に近い領域の組織を予め設定した温度に温めると、この領域で血液の局所潅流が生じ、より再現性が高くなり、同時に薬剤吸収プロセスがより均一で再現性が高くなる。また、組織への薬剤注入から血液系への吸収の遅延を低減することにより、遅延プロファイルによる薬物反応の変動を低減することができる。いくつかの実施例では、注射領域の近接領域の温度を長期にわたり調整することができるが、その代償はエネルギ源の量と重さとなる。したがって、加熱期間または加熱時間のプロファイルを、薬剤注入と血中への吸収の期間に対して最適化して、エネルギ源のサイズを最小化することができる。この治療を用いるいくつかの実施例では、例えば、熱、薬剤と治療物質との相互作用または種類を考慮してもよいし、回避してもよい。例えば、蛋白質の脱自然化(denaturisation)を避けるべく薬剤の熱感受性が考慮される。インシュリンは熱感受性蛋白質であり、処置プロトコルにおいてインシュリンの損傷を回避するために、熱を制限して送達薬剤の効力を確保する。例えば、治療プロトコルの熱や処置送達部位の場所を管理して、薬剤にダメージが生じないようにする。
いくつかの実施例では、血管拡張を生じる神経反応は、薬剤注入領域の近傍に機械的な力を加えることで刺激され、この力には、限定しないが、圧力、マッサージ、振動、吸引、および/または他の様々な機械的刺激の1またはそれ以上が含まれる。組織の処置または刺激は、侵害受容性軸索反射(Nociceptive Axon Reflex)の刺激と同様に知られている。機械的な刺激の利点は薬剤にダメージを与えないことであり、これに対しインシュリンを37℃以上に加熱するとダメージが生じる。加える機械的な力の校正は、上述した手続のいずれかを用いて行われる。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤にさらなる液体物質が組み合わされるか、代わりに、薬剤注入部位へ注射、注入、または局所供給され(患者の皮膚を通した浸透による経皮的な薬剤供給を含む)、このさらなる物質が局所的な血管拡張を生じさせ、および/または毛細血管透過性を増大させる。この物質は、トラザイン(tolazine)、ナフチドロフリル(naftidrofuryl)、スロクチヂル(suloctidil)、ニトロプルシド(nitroprusside)、カプサイシン、または他の様々な適切な物資を含む。いくつかの実施例では、さらなる物質が血管拡張と、薬剤注入組織領域の血液灌流とを増進してもよい。例えば、カプサイシンはVR1レセプタを通して神経反応を刺激し、熱の神経刺激と同様の反応を生ずる。
本発明のいくつかの実施例では、治療要素は、薬剤送達注射ペンの一体部品であってもよい。いくつかの実施例では、この治療要素は、既存の薬剤送達注射ペンに交換、置換、追加可能な補助ユニットであってもよい。このような器具は、薬剤注入の間かその前に薬剤送達ペンに取り付けられるが、後に薬剤注入部位に適用されてもよい。
治療要素は、いくつかの実施例では、加熱器具、放射エミッタ、音響トランスデューサ、機械/電子−機械的振動装置、光照射デバイス、および電極のいずれか1以上(または組み合わせ)を含む。
いくつかの実施例では、治療要素に関する1またはそれ以上の特性が、薬剤送達が行われる組織領域の所望の反応を得るためにプロセッサにより制御される。このような特性は、振幅、位相、周波数、励起源の組み合わせ、複数の励起源間の相対比およびタイミング、その他の特性を含む。いくつかの実施例では、治療薬の種類またはソースが、送達される薬剤の化学的/物理的な特性に応じて調整されてもよい。治療要素/刺激への組織の反応は、組織内の注射部位から当該組織領域を取り囲む様々な区画および血液系への分子移動の動力学を高めることにより注入薬剤の機能を増強する。
いくつかの実施例では、組織治療を施したり組織領域を刺激する治療要素または装置は、治療源の特性を監視し制御するよう構成されてもよい。例えば、治療プロトコルの制御可能な特性は、振幅、位相、強度、周波数、または他の様々な特性を含む。さらなる制御が、例えば提供される情報をコントローラ(「コントローラ」または「処理ユニット」)が薬剤の薬物動力学の変動を低減するのに利用する動的モニタリングにより得られる。このような実施例では、装置は、血液潅流や皮膚温度などの近接組織の特性をモニタするよう構成することができる。このモニタリングにより、情報はコントローラへ提供され、この情報が薬剤の有効性とともに薬物動力学や薬力学を向上し薬剤注入プロセスの変動を低減するのに利用される。
いくつかの実施例では、本発明の装置は、特定の条件が満たされるまで薬剤送達ペンの展開を中止するセンサか他のトリガ入力機構を具える。この条件は、治療プロトコルまたはエレメントの作動が含まれる。
いくつかの実施例では、組織治療薬は、薬剤送達の各注入と同時に適用してもよい。他の実施例では、組織治療薬や刺激のオプションは、ユーザがマニュアル選択してもよい。いくつかの実施例では、ユーザは治療要素を薬剤送達ペンに取り付けることを選択してもよい。ユーザは、治療要素の自動適用を機械的にエネーブルにしたりディセーブルにしてもよい。ユーザは、治療薬デバイスを薬剤注入の前後で動作(activate)させて、注入した薬剤への組織の応答を促進してもよい。このような動作は、薬剤送達ペンのボタン押下や、連続的なボタン押下で行われる。
例えば、インシュリン注射ペンの場合、ペンは通常この薬剤送達注射ペンが行うボーラス注射と比較した場合の「迅速ボーラス」をトリガする特別なボタンを有してもよい。迅速なインシュリンボーラスモードは、上述した治療薬のいずれかをインシュリン注射と並行して、あるいはインシュリンボーラスの注射後すぐに所定期間開始することができる。これはインシュリン治療、組織血液潅流、および/または患者の血液への吸収の薬物動力学や薬力学を改善または変化させ、高血糖症指数の食料とともに適用すると非常に利益がある。「迅速ボーラス」の適用は、より大きな早いグルコースの移動(excursion)が生ずる場合に、高血糖症指数の食料の摂取に有用であるが、多くの場合に捕食的(plandial coverage)にインシュリンボーラスを用いる。いくつかの実施例では、「迅速ボーラス」の適用は、薬剤送達ペンのデフォルトモードで設定されていてもよい。いくつかの実施例では、ユーザは治療効果をさらに高めるべく、食事の前に組織治療または刺激を適用してもよい。
いくつかの実施例では、治療薬の少なくとも1の効果は、注入した薬剤による局部炎症や注射による局所的な炎症反応を低減することである。例えば、インシュリン注射の場合、組織にインシュリン濃度が高く残る期間を少なくすると、インシュリンにより生じる炎症を低減させる。また、これは死亡肥大などのインシュリン送達の望まない効果を低減させることができる。
本発明のいくつかの実施例はまた、注入した薬剤へ調整パターン(modulation pattern)を適用することにより、血中での注射材料のピーク動作への時間を低減すべく薬物動力学や薬力学プロファイルを改善または調整する方法を提供する。この調整により、注入した薬液は、薬剤注入プロセスの間またはその後に僅かに組織を出入りする。このような実施例では、この方法は皮膚にさらなる装置を適用する必要がない。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤送達ペンは、皮膚への薬剤送達の前、最中、後に使い捨て可能な小型デバイスを機械的に取り付けていてもよい。この使い捨て可能なデバイスは、以下の1以上のソースを用いて治療を施すことができる:熱源(例えば熱抵抗)、例えばポンプで作動する吸引ポート、機械的震動源、超音波励起源、超音波トランスデューサ、マッサージエレメント、電磁放射源、電界源、磁界源、薬剤の薬力学を向上する追加の物質および/または2以上のソースの組み合わせ。いくつかの実施例では、使い捨て可能な小型デバイスは、薬剤注入の前または後でマニュアルで取り付けることができる。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤注入デバイスは、組織に薬剤を注入する使い捨て注射針と、患者の皮膚または皮下層に針を挿入して皮膚および/または皮下組織層のいずれかに針を通して薬剤を注入する再利用可能な薬剤送達ペンと、薬剤の薬物動力学・薬力学プロファイルの向上および/またはその領域での薬剤注入期間の前・最中・後の血液潅流を増進して血液系への薬剤吸収を向上すべく薬剤注入領域に特定の処置または刺激を与える治療薬デバイスとを具える。この針は、自動針トリガピストンまたはスプリングを用いて目標部位に自動的に注入されてもよい。いくつかの実施例では、針はユーザが針を独立して挿入する動作によってマニュアルで目標部位に注入されてもよい。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤注入デバイスは、組織内へ挿入する注入カテーテルと、前記注入カテーテルへ薬剤を注入する薬剤注入装置と、薬剤の薬物動力学・薬力学を改善・調整および/または安定させ、および/または血液系への薬剤吸収の変動を低減するために薬剤注入領域へ特定の治療または刺激を与える治療薬デバイスとを具える。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤注入デバイスは、ディスプレイと、ボタンと、ボーラス用のメモリと、処理ユニットと、皮膚特性のセンサと、治療レベルのセンサと、グルコースセンサと、ユーザインタフェースと、記録や思い出させるためとサポートサイトへのリモートアクセス用のPDAや携帯電話とのワイヤレス接続と、の少なくとも1を具える。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤/インシュリン注入装置は、グルコースセンサを具える。このグルコースセンサは、代替部位(例えば、腕や足などの血液潅流が低い部位)の血液グルコースレベルを測定する。このグルコースセンサは、注入端部とは反対側に設けることができる。
いくつかの実施例では、本発明は、ジェット注入用に構成することができる。ジェット注入は、材料の高圧噴射を伴い、針を使うのが不要となる。この種類の注入モードは、「針無し」または「ニードルレス」注射とも呼ばれる。いくつかの実施例では、ペン型注入デバイスが、1またはそれ以上の針の利用に加えて、あるいは代替的に、ジェット噴射を具えてもよい。従来の針無し注入システムのいくつかの例は、Medi−JectorVISION(登録商標)や、Antares社のいくつかの製品を含む。このようなシステムは、本発明のジェット注入システムとの利用に適合することができる。
いくつかの実施例では、注入デバイスは、使い捨て可能なノズルと、追加物質が入ったリザーバとを有する。このリザーバは前記ノズルに設けられ、追加物質は一回の利用か一回の投薬量で提供されている。リザーバはデバイスの本体内に配置され、ノズルは液体コネクタまたはリザーバとの他の連絡路を形成している。
いくつかの実施例では、追加のリザーバとともにノズルを設けるのではなく、追加物質のアプリケータがデバイスに取り付けられ、あるいは別個に設けられる。ノズルは、適用される追加物質の量を調整すべくゲージが設けられてもよい。このアプリケータは、ボタンや他の制御要素を通して制御される。いくつかの実施例では、ゲージがリングとして構成され、アプリケータボタンや他の制御装置の周りで回転して、ボタンの押し下げ量および/または他の制御装置の機能を調整し、および/または投与される追加物質の量が調整される。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤送達ペンは、例えばステッカーのような粘着性材料を有し、ユーザに薬剤および/または追加物質の投与のための皮膚固定を補助するようにしてもよい。

本発明は、薬剤送達ペンまたは薬剤注入部位に薬剤を注入する他の薬剤注入デバイスに関し、注入デバイス内の薬剤は注入薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学を増進する治療を提供する。以下の説明は、説明のために薬剤送達ペンに関するが、本発明は他の様々な薬剤注入デバイスに適用可能である。
図1A−Cは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、治療要素が取り付けられた例示的な薬剤送達ペン100の概略図である。図1A、1Bは、例示的な薬剤送達ペン100を示し、ペンシャフト110と、(例えば送達ペンのハウジング内で、ピストンポンプを作動させる)注射ピストン解除トリガ/ボタン112と、(治療薬を供給するポンプを作動させる)治療薬リリーストリガ/ボタン108と、ニードル開口およびハウジング102と、治療薬送達開口104と、投与量セレクタ106とを具える。図1Aは、薬剤送達ペン100の斜視図である。図1Bは、ペン100の側面図である。
インシュリン投与用の薬剤送達ペンは、ニードルハウジング102を通して目標領域へと薬剤(図示せず)の必要な投与量を注入するために、薬剤リザーバシリンジまたはバイアルを押す、および/またはそうでなければ圧力をかけるピストン(図示せず)を開放する注射ピストン解除ボタン112を用いて選択され決定された薬剤量106を注射することにより、この分野の薬剤送達ペンと同じく機能する。いくつかの実施例では、ハウジング102から目標送達部位まで薬剤を送達するのに、シリンジの代わりに、送達される薬剤の液体ジェットを用いてもよい。この薬剤送達ペンは追加の治療要素を提供してもよく、例えば、麻酔薬、治療誘発薬、最初に注入された薬剤の効果を増進する薬剤などがある。主たる薬剤はインシュリンである。
治療薬は、治療薬送達開口104を用いて目標組織の上に送達されてもよく、ここで液体治療物質が組織に投与または噴霧される。図1Cは薬剤送達ペン100の断面図であり、治療要素130とその構成要素を示している。治療要素130は、治療薬区画120と、複数のバルブ122と、ポンプ126と、治療薬リリースボタン128とを具える。いくつかの実施例では、治療薬区画120は、調剤、液体などの流体、軟膏、液剤、噴霧剤、発泡剤、固体、ゲルフォーム、加圧液体、気体、スプレー、鎮痛剤、麻酔薬、血管拡張剤、敗血症(septic)、アルコール、または皮膚組織領域の治療用の類似物を収容する。いくつかの実施例では、治療薬は、ニードルの展開の前または後に適用される。
区画120に貯蔵される治療物質は、治療薬リリースボタン128の押下により作動する概略ポンプ(schematic pump)126を用いて治療薬リリース開口に押し出される。この治療薬リリースボタン128はバルブ122を開放し、治療液を区画120から開口104へと続く管124へ送達する。ある領域に投与される治療薬は、注射で送達される主たる薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学の特性を向上させうる。薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学特性が改善される経路は、使用される治療物質または要素に依存する。
図1Dは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、マニュアル注入部141を有する薬剤送達ペン140の部分分解図である。ペン140は、ペン本体150と、調剤リリースボタン142と、治療薬リリースボタン148と、薬剤投与量セレクタ146と、注射結合部144とを具える。注射結合部144は、注入部141をペン部140に確実に固定する連結仕様である。注入部141のペン部140への結合は、例えば雄/雌コネクタ、ネジコネクタ、スナップコネクタ、回転キーコネクタ、フックコネクタ、その他の適切なコネクタ、の少なくとも1以上により実現することができる。
マニュアル注入部141は、治療物質リザーバ152と、治療薬送達開口154と、ニードル158とを具える。このマニュアル注入部141は、一回の使用後に使い捨てとすることができる。しかしながら、この注入部141は再利用可能として、数回使用可能としたり、ある期間繰り返し利用可能としてもよい。薬剤送達の前に、薬剤送達ペン本体150はマニュアル注入部141に確実に結合され、ユーザが投与量セレクタ146を用いて薬剤投与量を選択することにより薬剤送達ペン140を使用できるようにしている。治療薬リリースボタン148は、治療リザーバ152から送達開口154を通して治療物質を放出させる。治療薬の放出タイミングは薬剤送達の前、最中、後、あるいはその組み合わせで行うことができる。薬剤送達は、投与量セレクタ146を用いて投与量を設定し、ニードル158を目標部位へマニュアルで挿入し、治療薬を送達開口154を通して放出し、最後に調剤リリースボタン142で薬剤を送達することにより実現する。
図1Eは、図1Dのマニュアル薬剤送達ペンのさらなる選択的な実施例を示す。マニュアル薬剤送達ペンは、薬剤送達ペンハウジング160と、マニュアル注入部161とを具える。ペンハウジング160は、ペン本体170と、調剤リリースボタン162と、薬剤投与量セレクタ166と、治療薬リリースボタン168と、治療薬投与量セレクタ178と、治療物質チューブ176と、注射結合部164とを具える。注射結合部164は、注入部161をペン本体部160に確実に固定するよう構成される。注入部161のペン部160への結合は、例えば雄−雌コネクタ、ネジコネクタ、スナップコネクタ、回転キーコネクタ、フックコネクタ、その他の適切なコネクタ、の少なくとも1以上の連結ピースにより実現することができる。
マニュアル注入部161は、一回の使用後に使い捨てとすることができるが、注入部161は数回使用可能としたり、ある期間繰り返し利用可能としてもよい。薬剤送達の前に、薬剤送達ペン本体170はマニュアル注入部161に確実に結合され、ユーザが薬剤投与量セレクタ166を用いて薬剤投与量を選択することにより薬剤送達ペン160を使用できるようにしている。治療薬投与量セレクタ178は、治療薬リリースボタン168でリリースされる治療物質の投与量を決定する。治療薬リリースボタン168を押下すると、治療物質が治療薬リザーバ(図示せず)から1以上の治療薬送達チューブ176を通り治療薬送達開口174へと放出される。治療薬の投与量選択および放出のタイミングは、薬剤送達の前、最中、後、あるいはその組み合わせで行うことができる。薬剤送達は、投与量セレクタ166を用いて投与量を設定し、ニードル158を目標部位へマニュアルで挿入し、上述のように治療物質を送達開口174を通して放出し、最後に調剤リリースボタン162で薬剤を送達することにより実現する。
図2A−2Cは、図1A−C記載の実施例と類似の、本発明にかかる薬剤送達ペンの実施例を示す。図2A−Cの実施例では、治療薬用開口がニードルハウジングの反対側にある。図2A、2Bは薬剤送達ペン200を示し、ペンシャフト210と、注射リリースボタン208と、治療薬リリースボタン212と、ニードル開口・ハウジング202と、治療薬送達開口204と、薬剤投与量セレクタ206とを具える。図2Aは、この薬剤送達ペン200の斜視得である。図2Bはペン200の側面図である。
インシュリン送達のような薬剤送達は、薬剤投与量206を設定し、設定された投与量を注射するのに必要な距離だけシリンジピストン(図2A−Cには図示せず)を押す上側ボタン(図2A−Cには図示せず)を押下することにより、例えばNovoPen、Sanofi Aventis penその他のような従来型のpenと同様の方法で機能し、注射リリースボタン208は必要ない。例えばAutopen24といった他のペンでは、決定した薬剤投与量206を設定した後、ダイヤル206で設定された所望の投与量を注射するのに必要な距離だけシリンジピストンを押すピストン(図2A−Cに図示せず)を開放する注射リリースボタン208を開放することにより、薬剤が注入される。薬剤送達用のいくつかのペンでは、薬剤は所定の薬剤投与量206を設定してニードルリリースボタン208を押下して、ニードル(図2A−Cには図示せず)をニードルハウジング202を通して目標領域へリリースし、これにより必要な薬剤投与量がニードルを通して放出されることにより、投薬が実現される。しかしながら、本発明の薬剤送達ペンは、注射される主たる薬剤を増強する処置を誘発すべく、例えば他の薬剤といった形態の追加の治療要素を提供する。上述の注射ペンの構造と機構は、例えばシリンジやジェット注射器などの他の注射器具と同様に、本願および関連出願に記載されたように、薬剤注入部位の近くにさらなる治療を施すデバイスおよび方法に用いるように構成することができる。いくつかの実施例では、主たる薬剤はインシュリンである。
治療薬は、ペンの治療薬送達開口204を用いて目標組織に送達され、ここで液状治療物質が組織に投与される。図2Cは薬剤送達ペン200の断面図であり、治療要素230とその構成要素を示している。治療要素230は、治療薬区画220と、複数のバルブ222と、ポンプ226と、治療薬チューブ224と、治療薬リリースボタン228とを具える。治療薬区画220は、調剤薬液、軟膏、液剤、噴霧剤、加圧液体、気体、スプレー、鎮痛剤、麻酔薬、血管拡張剤、敗血症(septic)、アルコール、または皮膚組織領域の治療用の類似物を収容する。この治療薬は、ニードルの展開の前または後に、ペンの一端で開口204を用いた治療物質の送達と、他端でハウジング202を用いた注射との2ステッププロセスで適用される。
区画220に収容された治療物質は、治療薬リリースボタン228の押下により作動する概略ポンプ226を用いて治療薬リリース開口204に押し出される。治療薬リリースボタン228は、治療薬液を区画220からチューブ224を通して開口204に送達すべく、バルブ222を開放する。いくつかの実施例では、ある領域に適用された治療薬は、注射により送達された主たる薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学特性を向上させうる。薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学特性が改善される経路は、使用される治療物質またはエレメントに依存する。
図3A−Cは、図1A−E、図2A−Cに記載のと類似のペン型薬剤送達器具の実施例であるが、本例では、治療物質がローラアプリケータボール304により治療組織へと適用される。図3A、3Bは、薬剤送達ペン300の似たような図を示す。ペン300の薬剤送達機能は、図1A−E、図2A−Cに示すペンの機能と同様である。薬剤投与量は投与量ダイヤル306を用いて制御および決定され、注射リリースボタン312を用いてトリガされると、ニードル(図3A−Cでは図示せず)を包むニードルハウジング302を介して送達される。注射領域への治療物質の適用は、注射の前でも後でもよい。
図3Cは、治療物質容器320と、物質適用ボール304とを具える治療要素330を示す。治療薬区画320は、薬液、軟膏、液剤、エールゾル、加圧液体、気体、スプレー、鎮痛剤、麻酔薬、血管拡張剤、敗血症(septic)、アルコール、または皮膚組織領域の治療用の類似物といった液体を収容する。治療薬は、ニードルの展開の前または後に、ペンの一端におけるボール304を用いた治療物質の送達と、他端におけるハウジング302を用いた注射との少なくとも2ステップのプロセスで適用される。
図4A−Cは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、別の例示的な薬剤送達ペン400を示す。例えばインシュリンといった送達薬物の薬物動力学および/または薬力学特性を向上させる治療物質430は、固体、ゲル、ゲルフォーム、揺変性溶液などの形態をとる。この物質430は、ニードルハウジング402を通して供給されるニードルを用いた薬剤送達の前または後に治療領域に適用される。治療物質430は、固体、棒状、軟膏、溶液、鎮痛剤、麻酔薬、血管拡張剤、敗血症(septic)、アルコール、または皮膚組織領域の治療用の類似物である。治療物質430は、処置領域の上に塗布あるいはロールされ、あるいは他の様々な適切な方法で適用されてもよい。
薬剤送達ペン400は、個々の治療物質430とは別個に製造されてもよいし、あるいはこの薬剤送達ペン400は取り付けられる治療物質430と一緒に製造されてもよい。図4Dは、ステッカー、ねじ込み、粘着層、クリップ、または他の結合ツールを用いてペンシャフト410に取り付けられる治療物質430を示す。ペンシャフト410は、治療サブスタンス430の孔に押し入れることができる。この治療物質430は、ペンシャフト410の外周に嵌合するよう構成することができる。いくつかの実施例では、使い捨ての、あるいは再利用可能な治療物質430を、シリンジなどの他の注入器具と一緒に用いてもよい。
図5Aは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、治療物質の配備または使用のための第2の器具を収容可能なニードルハウジングを有する注射可能な薬剤送達ペンの実施例を示す。薬剤送達ペン500は、一定量の送達用の注射可能な薬剤(例えばインシュリン)を収容するよう構成されたシャフト510を具える。投与量ダイヤル506は、注射リリースボタン520を介してニードルおよびニードルハウジング502を介して注射されるニードルの注射投与量を設定する。
いくつかの実施例では、薬剤送達ペン500は、フィンガースティックで血中グルコースを測定するグルコースセンサ501を具える。グルコースセンサ501は、薬剤送達ペン500の頂部に設けて構成することができる。このペン500は、フィンガースティック(図5A−Cには示さず)の上に血液を滴下するニードルをリリースし、このグルコースセンサ501の上に置いて血液サンプル中のグルコースレベルを測定するのに用いることができる。さらに、血液の滴下は、例えばペン500の頂部に設けたグルコメータ型スリット(図5A−Cには示さず)に挿入されるグルコースセンサのようなフィンガースティックに適用することができる。
図5Bは、薬剤送達器具540を構成すべく図5Cに示す薬剤送達ペン500に取り付けられる治療要素器具530を示す。この薬剤送達器具540は、治療要素器具530を具え、薬剤送達ペン510は単一ユニットである。
治療要素器具530は、対応する雄コネクタ形状を有するニードルハウジング502に堅く結合される雌コネクタ524を具える。この結合は、ねじ込み、嵌合、ピンロックアセンブリ、粘着剤、または他の様々な結合方法で行うことができる。薬剤送達ペン530は、複数の治療要素526に接着されたロール520を有する治療物質ディスペンサ520を具える。この治療要素526は、ニードルハウジング502の上に固定的に配置されている。治療要素526は、(例えば、付加的な物質を放出する)パッド、温熱パッド、PCB熱素子、光学治療要素、電磁放射治療要素、電流治療要素、音響治療要素、マッサージ治療要素、または上述したいずれかの治療方法に関する要素、の形態で実装することができる。治療要素526は、注射可能な薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学特性を向上すべく、注射の前、注射の後、または注射する際に、目標組織へと治療薬を送達することができる。治療要素526はまた、所望の治療電力を提供すべく電源を具えてもよい。治療要素は、治療プロファイルを制御するため例えば電気回路などの制御素子を具えてもよい。治療要素は使い捨て可能、すなわち、治療プロファイルの終了後にユーザが治療要素526を破棄するシングルユースの治療要素であってもよい。治療要素は再利用可能で、治療プロファイル終了後にユーザが再充電したり、電源交換したり、あるいは治療要素526の使い捨て部分のみを交換して、新規または同じ治療物質ディスペンサ520または図6Aに示す物質ディスペンサ630または本願で開示される他の構造体に最装填されてもよい。
図6A−Cは、図5Aに示す薬剤送達ペン500に結合される例示的な治療要素ディスペンサを示す。図6Aは、図5Bのディスペンサ530の任意的な代替例の治療薬ディスペンサ630を示す。治療薬ディスペンサ630は、ペン型薬剤送達器具に結合されるスタック式治療要素626を具える。図6Bは、どのように薬剤送達ペンが治療要素ディスペンサ630に結合されるかを示す。治療要素ディスペンサ630が送達ペン器具650から離脱されると、装置のニードル側端部が治療要素626に結合される。治療要素626は、薬剤送達ペン650のニードルに整列可能である。この整列により、薬剤送達・治療薬器具650は、1ステップのプロセスで、薬剤送達ペン600を用いた薬剤送達の前、後、または同時に、エレメント626を用いて治療の誘発を実現することができる。いくつかの実施例では、ペン600を用いた薬剤送達と、エレメント626を用いた治療の誘発は、治療要素626が薬剤送達ペン600のニードルがない端部に結合されている例では、2ステップのプロセスで行うことができる。これにより薬剤送達と治療を個別に行うことができる。例えば、注射リリースボタン612で薬剤送達を開始した後に、エレメント626を用いて治療を誘発してもよい。治療が薬剤送達より優先される場合、その逆もまた真である。
いくつかの実施例では、治療要素526(図5A−Cに示す)やエレメント626などの治療要素は、ニードルが本体に挿入されたときに、ユーザによる追加の操作無しで自動的に、治療薬が注入部位またはその周りにくっつくか、および/または接着するように、毎回の調剤注射(図1D、1Eに示す)の前にペンに固定されるシングルユースのニードルに結合されてもよい。
本書記載の実施例のいずれにおいても、治療要素は、熱、放射、機械的振動、吸引、磁力エネルギ、超音波、光放射、電磁波放射、電気刺激、または他の形態のエネルギを生成するエネルギ源あるいはこれらのエネルギ源の組み合わせを具えてもよい。例えば、治療要素は、注射部位を加熱するヒータか;1以上の他の光学素子とともに、限定しないが例えばLEDやレーザダイオードを含む光源などのエネルギ源用の光学エネルギ源か;注射領域をマイクロ波放射線に晒すよう構成されたマイクロ波発生器または放射器か;注射領域を無線周波数電磁放射線に晒す要項性された無線周波数電磁放射線発生器または放射器か;注射領域を振動させるよう構成された振動装置か;注射領域に吸引をかける真空装置か;注射領域に電界をかけるよう構成された電界発生器または放射器か;注射領域に磁界をかけるよう構成された磁界発生器または放射器か;注射領域に音響刺激を与えるよう構成された音響信号発生器または放射器か、を具えてもよい。
図7A−Cは、図5A−Cおよび図6A−Cに示すペンと類似の例示的な薬剤送達ペン700を示し、これは図7Bに示すように治療要素ディスペンサ730に結合されて薬剤送達・治療装置750を構成する。この装置750は、薬剤送達ペン700のニードルが無い端部に、治療要素ディスペンサ730を具える。この装置750は、薬剤送達ペンに、送達薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学特性を向上させる治療要素を提供しつつ、選択された投与量の薬剤を送達する能力を付与する。いくつかの実施例では、ユーザは特別な場合や薬剤注射器具の場合に、彼/彼女の治療要素を保存することができる。薬剤注射の前または後に、ユーザは治療要素を上述したように治療要素ディスペンサ730に挿入し、これを注射部位に適用する。いくつかの実施例では、治療要素は、治療要素ディスペンサ730と同様の形状であり、治療要素ディスペンサをアダプタとして用いることなく直接的に薬剤送達ペン700に取り付けられていてもよい。
図8A−Dは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、図1A−図3Cと似た例示的な治療器具を示す。図8Aは、注射可能な薬剤を送達するのに用いる薬剤送達ペン800を示す。図8B、8Cは、薬剤送達ペン800に取付可能な治療要素830の図であり、これにより、図8Aに示すような薬剤送達・治療器具を構成している。治療要素830は、薬剤送達ペン800のニードル側端部を受ける開口840を介してペン800に取り付けることができる。治療要素830は、治療薬液を内臓しうる治療物質区画820を具える。この治療薬区画820は、ゲルなどの流体、発泡剤、液体、軟膏、溶液、エールゾル、加圧液体、気体、スプレー、鎮痛剤、麻酔薬、血管拡張剤、敗血症(septic)、アルコール、または皮膚組織領域の治療用の類似物を収容する。治療薬は、ニードルの展開の前または後に適用される。
区画820に収容された治療薬は、治療薬リリースボタン828の押下により作動するポンプ826を用いて、開口804を通って目標組織に送達される。治療薬リリースボタン828は、バルブ822を開放して、治療液を区画820から開口804へと続く管824へ送達する。いくつかの実施例では、治療薬液の量はユーザによって予め設定されている。いくつかの実施例では、特別なダイヤルまたは他の手段(図8A−Dには示さず、図1Eに示されている)を用いて、適用される治療物質の量を設定してもよい。ある領域に投与される治療薬は、注射で送達される主たる薬剤(例えばインシュリン)の薬物動力学および/または薬力学の特性を向上させうる。薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学特性が改善される経路は任意であり、使用される治療物質またはエレメントに依存する。
図9A−Cは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、例えば吸引、マッサージなどの圧力関連治療を施す治療要素を有する薬剤送達ペン900を示す。図9Aは、薬剤送達ペンと、薬剤送達ペン900および機械的に取付可能な治療要素アタッチメント930を有する治療器具950を示す。器具950は、組み立て式または一体型の薬剤送達デバイスとして提供することができる。この器具950は、圧力耐性の柔軟な材料でできた治療要素940と結合することができる。この材料は、ラバー、ラテックス、または吸引用ゴムカップと同様に所定の治療範囲に吸引を生ずるよう構成された他の適切な材料とすることができる。器具950は、治療要素940の上に配置され、図9B、9Cに示すように、さらなる圧力を生成するかペンを持ち上げたときに吸引するように圧縮される。このような吸引は、治療組織の血管拡張をもたらし、送達される薬剤の薬物動力学および/または薬力学の特性を向上させうる。薬剤送達は、図9Cに示すように、治療要素940が圧縮形態にあるときに行うことができる。
図10A−Dは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、圧力型の治療要素の変形例を示す。図10Aは、図10Bに示す治療要素の断面図である。この治療要素は薬剤送達の間に使用することができ、ニードルが貫通しうる穴1000を具える。図10Cは、図10Dに示す治療要素の断面図である。図10Dに示す治療要素は、薬剤送達の前と後の双方で組織範囲に吸引を生ずるべく使用できる。図10A−Dの治療要素は、薬剤注射部位の近くに吸引または真空を生じさせ、局部的な血管拡張を生じさせる。
図10E、10Fは、その形状を保ちつつ、皮膚の折り返しを効果的に挟むのに利用される丈夫な粘着テープとして構成された例示的な治療要素を示す。図10Eに示す治療要素は、柔軟部分1052でブリッジされた2つの粘着端部1050を具える。端部1050はそれぞれ、例えばシリンジや薬剤送達ペンで注射が行われる皮膚の部分の上に置かれる。配置されたら、両端部1050が柔軟部分1052により互いの方に押されてベル型形状となる。部分1052は、繰り返し成形および変形を可能としつつその形状を保持しうる強い柔軟材料で製造することができる。図10Fは、図10Eの治療要素が屈曲した状態を示す。部分1052は、例えば軽い血管拡張を生ずるように治療要素を成形および再成形することができる。
図11Aは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、薬剤送達ペン1104に組み込まれる治療要素1102を有する薬剤送達器具1100のブロック図であり、ここで治療要素は薬剤送達ペンに一体化されている。図11Bは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、互いに着脱可能に構成された治療要素1112と薬剤送達デバイス1114とを具える例示的な薬剤送達器具1110のブロック図である。薬剤送達デバイス1114または治療要素1112は、互いに独立して機能することができ、互いに固定的に結合して、図4A−6Cの実施例と同様に単一の薬剤送達・治療器具1110を形成する。薬剤送達デバイス1114は、シリンジ、薬剤送達ペン、薬剤供給ジェットインジェクタなどとして実装することができる。
図11Cは、例えば血中グルコースを測定するグルコーススティックセンサといったセンサ1126をさらに有する例示的な薬剤送達・治療器具のブロック図である。この薬剤送達器具1120は、外部の処理ユニット1130と通信する。この処理ユニットは例えばPDA、携帯電話機、コンピュータ、ラップトップ、または他の様々なデバイスを含む。ユニット1130は、コントローラ1132とディスプレイ1134とを具える。コントローラ1132は、薬剤送達器具1120から受信したデータを分析して、薬剤送達ペン1124と治療要素1122の機能に関する治療や投薬形態を決定する。処理ユニット1130は、ユーザに薬剤送達器具1120の使用履歴や現在の使用に関するデータを提供する。
図11Dは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、図11Cに示す器具と類似の例示的な薬剤送達デバイスのブロック図であり、この薬剤送達器具1140は、一体型センサ1146と、処理ユニット1150と、ディスプレイ1148とを具える。これにより、ユーザは、薬剤送達ペン1144または治療要素1142に関するすべての活動を制御し視覚化することができる。
図12A−Cは、本発明のいくつかの実施例にかかる、(図12Cに示すような)薬剤送達デバイス1200に取り付けられる例示的な治療要素ディスペンサの概略図である。図12Aは、電源1211付の治療要素1210を示す。いくつかの実施例では、治療要素1210は、電源と、治療プロファイルを制御する制御要素を備える。例えば、加熱の場合、治療要素1210は、注射部位の周囲の組織を薬剤の薬物動力学および薬力学を向上させる温度まで加熱するヒータを具える。例えばインシュリンのような温度反応薬剤の場合、治療要素1210は、いくつかの種類のインシュリンの場合に例えば37℃といった劣化させる限界温度以上に加熱することなしに、注射部位の周囲の組織を薬剤の薬物動力学および薬力学を向上させる温度まで加熱するヒータを具える。治療要素1210はまた、薄片1212でカバーされた底部側に粘着層を具える。
いくつかの実施例では、ユーザは、1またはいくつかの治療要素1210のケースを有する。ユーザが薬剤注射部位に治療要素を使用したい場合、ユーザは、同じケースか別のものに保存されているアダプタ1220を取り、図12Bに示すように、1の治療要素1210をアダプタ1220に取り付ける。治療要素1210は、例えばプラスチッククリップなどの弱い機械固定か、弱い粘着剤か、この分野で知られている他の方法でアダプタ1220に取り付けられている。その後薄片1212を除去する。その後、図12Cに示すように、アダプタ1220が薬剤送達ペンまたはシリンジ1230に組み込まれるかねじ込まれる。いくつかの実施例では、ニードルキャップ1231がニードルから取り外される。その後、ニードルは注射部位の組織に穿刺され、薬剤注射デバイスが操作されて薬剤がニードルから組織内へと注入される。この間、または少し前か後に、アダプタ1230が組織の方へ押し下げられ治療要素1210が注射部位の周りの組織に接着される。
いくつかの実施例では、組織への治療要素1210の取り付けは、これを自動的に活性化して治療が所定の治療プロファイルに従って開始されるよう構成される。この機能は、例えば、治療要素1210が組織にくっつく際に押される小さなスイッチにより実現することができる。いくつかの実施例では、治療要素1210はマニュアルで活性化されてもよい。いくつかの実施例では、治療要素は、遠隔操作またはそのケースへの接続を介して特定の治療要素用に制御および/またはプログラムされてもよい。その後、注射デバイス1230とアダプタ1220は一緒あるいは別個に上に離され、治療要素1210が組織にくっついたまま残り、薬剤注射部位の近くに治療を適用する。ユーザはこの治療要素を治療後または後に除去することができる。いくつかの実施例では、治療要素は、ユーザに治療の開始と治療の終了を示すインジケータを具えてもよい。いくつかの実施例では、治療要素1210は使い捨てである。
いくつかの実施例では、治療要素1210の電源1211は再充電可能であり、これによれば治療終了後にユーザが皮膚から取り外して、ケースに戻すか、および/または、当該ケース内に配置された充電クレイドルに置いて再充電を行うことができる。幾つかの実施例では、治療要素1210は使い捨て部分と再利用部分を具えてもよい。いくつかの実施例では、薬剤注射デバイスおよび1以上の治療要素が注射前に同じケース内に配置されていてもよい。これによりユーザにとって付加的な便宜となり、ユーザがこれらを一緒に用いたり順番に用いたりすることができる。
図13は、温度感応薬剤の劣化を防ぐために注射部位組織周辺を加熱する治療要素により与えられる熱の温度を制御する方法を示すフローチャートである。ステップ1300に示すように、薬剤が患者への注射用に用意され、ここで前記薬剤は限界温度以上で劣化反応を起こす。ステップ1301にて、制御可能な温熱要素を介した制御可能な加熱を提供する治療要素が設けられる。ステップ1302にて、治療要素が加熱される組織に熱接触するよう配置され、治療要素からの熱が加熱される組織に送られる。
ステップ1303にて、治療要素から提供される最大温度が制御され、薬剤にかかる温度(すなわち、薬剤の周辺)が、劣化が生じる前に薬剤が耐えうる限界温度を超えないようにする。いくつかの実施例では、最大温度は、薬剤および/または薬剤分類毎に校正される。例えば、ある種類のインシュリンでは、限界温度は約37℃である。
いくつかの実施例では、このような制御はマイクロプロセッサか、熱素子から出力される温度を制御する他のプロセッサを介して提供される。薬剤が受ける温度を特定すべく、加熱される組織および/またはその周辺の温度を測定するセンサを設けてもよい。
治療要素は、発熱反応を生じる1またはそれ以上の材料を具えてもよく、このような材料の量および/または比率は、薬剤の所望の限界温度に基づいてこの治療要素用に設定された最大温度を反応温度が超えないように計算することができる。この発熱反応は、例えば、鉄粉と、活性炭素と、塩と、水との混合物による発熱酸化反応であってもよい。当業者は理解できるように、他の材料の混合物を用いてもよい。
いくつかの実施例では、治療要素および薬剤送達ペンは、同じハウジング内に配置されていなくてもよい。しかしながら、この場合はユーザが幾つかの場合に治療薬を注射部位に適用するのを忘れることがあり、これにより薬物動力学が変化し、望ましくない。これを回避すべく、薬剤送達ペンは、組織への薬剤注射の前、最中、後にユーザに必要な治療を思い出させる機構を具えてもよい。いくつかの実施例では、薬剤送達ペンは、治療が適用された否かを判定し、組織治療が適用された場合のみ薬剤注射を許可する機構を具えてもよい。いくつかの実施例では、薬剤送達ペンは、薬剤注射機構に加えて、治療が適用されたか否かを示すセンサと、組織治療が適用された場合のみ薬剤注射を可能とする処理ユニットを具えてもよい。このようなセンサは、局部組織の光学特性を測定する光学センサか、局部的な血液潅流を測定し局部治療となる血管拡張が適用されたかとこの治療レベルが適切かを判定するレーザドロッパフローメータ(LDF)とすることができる。
本発明の方法および要素の例示的な実施例を以上に説明した。どこかに記載しているように、これらの実施例は説明目的のためにのみ記述されており、限定ではない。他の実施例も実現可能であり、これらは本発明に包含される。例えば、本発明では提案される方法および装置は、例えば注射ペンやシリンジやジェット注射器や他の公知の注射器具など多くの薬剤注射器具に適用することができ、実施例は主に注射ペンとしているが、他の注射器具にも同様に適用することができる。このような実施例は、本書に含まれる教示により当業者にとって自明となる。したがって、本発明の幅や範囲は上述したいかなる実施例に限定されるものではなく、以下のクレームおよびその均等物によってのみ規定されるべきである。

- 請求項1に記載の器具において、前記治療要素が、前記注射部位に近い皮膚に接着する少なくとも1またはそれ以上の粘着部分と、柔軟部分と含むことを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項1に記載の器具において、前記治療要素が、前記注射部位の近傍に1またはそれ以上のさらなる物質を適用するよう構成され、前記治療要素が注射器、ノズル、開口、およびローラアプリケータボール、ディスペンサからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項1に記載の器具がさらに、前記治療要素による前記治療の適用を制御するための遠隔操作ユニットを含むことを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項1に記載の器具において、前記治療薬液の注射を検出するセンサを含み、前記治療要素が、前記センサによる検出後、前記注射部位に前記治療を適用するよう構成されることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項1に記載の器具において、前記治療要素が、前記注射部位に近い皮膚に接着する少なくとも1またはそれ以上の粘着部分を含むことを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項1に記載の器具がさらに、試料センサ(analyte sensor)を具えることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項31に記載の器具において、前記試料センサが、前記患者の体内の試料レベルを判定するように構成されていることを特徴とする器具。
- 請求項31に記載の器具において、前記試料はグルコースであることを特徴とする器具。
