c)第1外部テーパ端、中央部分、及び第2外部テーパ端を有するフェルール先端であって、前記第1外部テーパ端及び前記中央部分が第1リップを規定し、前記第2外部テーパ端及び前記中央部分が第2リップを規定し、前記フェルール先端の前記第1端が前記ナットの前記通路内で前記フェルールの前記第2端に当接するように適合され、かつ前記フェルール先端の前記第1リップが前記ナットの前記リップと確実に係合する、フェルール先端。 - 以下のものを含む、液体クロマトグラフィシステムに使用するための管及び接続システム:
a)以下のものを含む管:
i)内部表面及び外部表面を有しかつ第1端及び第2端を有する外部層であって、前記外部層の前記第1端及び第2端の少なくとも一方が、先端部分を含み、前記先端部分がポリマーを含む、外部層;及び
ii)第1端、第2端、及び中を貫通する通路を有する生体適合性の内部層であって、前記内部層が前記外部層の内部に位置されている、内部層;及び
b)第1フェルール及び第2フェルールを含む接続具であって、前記第1フェルールがステンレス鋼を含み、前記第2フェルールがポリマーを含み、前記第1フェルールが前記外部層によって管を保持し、前記第2フェルールが前記先端部分上に管を封止する、接続具。 - 以下のものを含む、液体クロマトグラフィシステムに使用するための管組立体:
a)以下のものを含む管:
i)内部表面及び外部表面を有しかつ第1端及び第2端を有する外部層であって、前記外部層の前記第1端及び第2端の少なくとも一方が、先端部分及び保持特徴を含み、前記先端部分がポリマーを含む、外部層;及び
ii)内部表面、外部表面、第1端、第2端、及び中を貫通する通路を有する生体適合性の内部層であって、前記内部層が前記外部層の内部に位置されている、内部層;及び
b)前記外部層の前記第1端又は第2端と関連する少なくとも第1接続組立体。 - 前記保持特徴は、あご、切り込み、溝、ねじ山、一つ以上の交差ドリルされた穴、一つ以上のくぼみ、逆テーパ、フランジ、又は幾何学的形状である、請求項23に記載の管組立体。
- 前記外部層の前記第1端は、第1先端部分及び第1保持特徴を含み、前記外部層の前記第2端は、第2先端部分及び第2保持特徴を含み、前記第1先端部分及び第2先端部分は、ポリマーを含む、請求項23に記載の管組立体。
- 前記第1保持特徴は前記第2保持特徴と同一である、請求項25に記載の管組立体。
- 以下のものを含む、少なくとも一つの管組立体を含む分析機器システム:
a)以下のものを含む管:
i)内部表面及び外部表面を有しかつ第1端及び第2端を有する外部層であって、前記外部層の前記第1端及び第2端の少なくとも一方が、先端部分及び保持特徴を含み、前記先端部分がポリマーを含む、外部層;及び
ii)内部表面、外部表面、第1端、第2端、及び中を貫通する通路を有する生体適合性の内部層であって、前記内部層が前記外部層の内部に位置されている、内部層;及び
b)前記外部層の前記第1端又は第2端と関連する少なくとも第1接続組立体であって、以下のものを含む第1接続組立体:
i)第1端及び第2端を有しかつ中を貫通する通路を有するナットであって、前記通路が内部テーパ部分及び前記ナットの前記第2端に近接したリップを有し、かつ前記ナットの前記第2端が雄ねじ部分を有する、ナット;
ii)第1外部テーパ端及び第2端を有しかつ中を貫通する通路を有するフェルールであって、前記フェルールの前記第1外部テーパ端が前記ナットの前記通路の前記テーパ部分と確実に係合するように適合される、フェルール;及び
iii)第1外部テーパ端、中央部分、及び第2外部テーパ端を有するフェルール先端であって、前記第1外部テーパ端及び前記中央部分が第1リップを規定し、前記第2外部テーパ端及び前記中央部分が第2リップを規定し、前記フェルール先端の前記第1端が前記ナットの前記通路内で前記フェルールの前記第2端に当接するように適合され、かつ前記フェルール先端の前記第1リップが前記ナットの前記リップと確実に係合する、フェルール先端。 - 前記分析機器システムは超高圧又は超高性能液体クロマトグラフィシステムを含む、請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 液体クロマトグラフィシステムに使用するための管を製造するための方法であって、前記管が、生体適合性の内部及び外部層を含み、前記生体適合性の内部層及び外部層がそれぞれ、第1端、第2端、内部表面、及び外部表面を含み、前記方法が、前記内部層又は外部層を処理して、前記内部層と外部層の間に緊密な接続を与えることを含む、方法。
- 以下のことを含む、請求項29に記載の方法:
a)中を貫通する通路を有しかつ第1端及び第2端を有する生体適合性の内部層を冷間引抜きすること、
b)内部表面及び外部表面を有しかつ第1端及び第2端を有する外部層中に前記生体適合性の内部層を挿入すること、及び
c)前記内部層及び外部層を加熱して、前記内部層と外部層の間に緊密な接続を与えること。
