Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a thermal printer.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a thermal printer that includes a thermal head having a heat generating portion that prints on a heat-sensitive recording medium and is mounted on a small information device terminal typified by a small handy terminal is known (for example, see Patent Document 1). In the thermal printer described in Patent Document 1, a neutralizing brush that is in contact with the surface of the ink ribbon is disposed on the upstream side of the thermal head, and dust and dust adhering to the surface of the ink ribbon are printed before printing by the neutralizing brush. It is intended to prevent deterioration of print quality by flipping off.
In a thermal printer, dust and dirt accumulated in the paper holder adhere to the surface of the paper roll due to its own weight and rotation, and dust and dust in the paper guide rub against the surface of the thermal recording medium. It is conceivable that dust or dust flying around may fall and fall on the surface of the thermal recording medium. These dusts and dirt are physically firmly attached to the surface of the thermal recording medium, for example, and are pressed together when the thermal recording medium is pressed against the heat generating part of the thermal head. Cause scratches.
The thermal printer described in Patent Document 1 removes dust and dirt adhering to the surface of the ink ribbon due to static electricity by static elimination, and when the dust and dust adhere to the thermal recording medium, the thermal head There is a problem that it is impossible to prevent the generation of scratches in the heat generating part.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and removes dust and dirt adhering to the surface of the thermal recording medium by physical friction, and scratches are generated in the heat generating portion of the thermal head. An object of the present invention is to provide a thermal printer that can prevent the above.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides the following means.
The present invention relates to a case main body, a thermal head that is housed in the case main body and has a heat generating portion capable of printing on the thermal recording medium when the thermal recording medium inserted into the case main body is pressed, A platen roller that is disposed facing the heat generating portion and feeds the heat sensitive recording medium while pressing the heat sensitive recording medium against the heat generating portion, and is disposed on the upstream side of the thermal head with respect to the feeding direction of the heat sensitive recording medium. A thermal printer is provided that includes a removing member that removes adhering foreign matter.
According to the present invention, the thermal recording medium inserted into the case body is fed while being pressed against the heat generating portion of the thermal head by the platen roller, thereby printing on the thermal recording medium. In this case, before the heat-sensitive recording medium is pressed against the heat generating portion of the thermal head, the foreign material adhering to the heat-sensitive recording medium is removed by the removing member arranged on the upstream side of the thermal head. It is possible to prevent the foreign matter from being pressed against the heat generating portion of the thermal head together with the recording medium. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the generation of scratches in the heat generating portion.
In the above invention, the removing member may remove foreign matter adhering to the print surface of the thermal recording medium.
Generally, a thermal recording medium such as thermal paper is wound with the printing surface side wound outwardly, and foreign matter is likely to adhere to the printing surface side. Further, since the foreign matter adhering to the print surface of the thermal recording medium is directly pressed against the heat generating portion of the thermal head, there is a high possibility that the heat generating portion will be scratched. By removing the foreign matter adhering to the printing surface of the heat-sensitive recording medium by the removing member, it is possible to efficiently prevent the generation of scratches in the heat generating portion.
In the above invention, the removing member may contact the surface of the thermal recording medium and remove the foreign matter by friction.
By configuring in this way, even if the foreign matter bites into the surface of the thermal recording medium and physically adheres, it can be forcibly removed by scraping the foreign matter from the surface of the thermal recording medium. .
In the above invention, the removing member may contact the thermal recording medium while rotating in a direction opposite to the feeding direction of the thermal recording medium.
With this configuration, the foreign matter attached to the thermal recording medium and the removing member come in contact with each other while moving in the opposite directions, so that the foreign matter can be easily scraped off from the thermal recording medium.
In the above invention, the removal member may be made of a conductive material and connected to an electrical ground.
With this configuration, the static electricity of the thermal recording medium can be removed by the contact of the removal member, and foreign matters can be easily removed.
In the above invention, the thermal head includes a hollow substrate having a hollow portion, a heating resistor disposed on the surface of the substrate so as to face the hollow portion, and forming the heat generating portion, and the heat generation. It is good also as providing a pair of electrode part which is connected to the both ends of a resistor and supplies electric power to a heating resistor.
With this configuration, when power is supplied to the heat generating resistor by the electrode portion, the heat generating resistor generates heat and a heat generating portion is formed. The board | substrate arrange | positioned directly under a heating resistor functions as a thermal storage layer which accumulate | stores heat. On the other hand, the cavity part arrange | positioned in the area | region which opposes the heating resistor in a board | substrate functions as a hollow heat insulation layer which heat-insulates heat. Therefore, this hollow portion can reduce the amount of heat transmitted through the substrate among the heat generated in the heat generating portion, improve the energy efficiency required during printing, and reduce power consumption.
In this case, the strength of the area of the substrate facing the heat generating portion is reduced by the cavity, so that scratches are generated in the heat generating portion if foreign matter is mixed when the thermal recording medium is pressed against the heat generating portion of the thermal head. However, by removing the foreign matter adhering to the heat-sensitive recording medium by the removing member, it is possible to improve the printing efficiency while preventing the generation of scratches in the heat generating portion.
According to the present invention, it is possible to remove dust and dirt adhering to the surface of the thermal recording medium and prevent the thermal head from generating scratches.
Hereinafter, a thermal printer according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, the

The platen roller 4 is configured such that the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Although not shown, the laminated
The laminated
The
The
The
The
These
In the thus configured
In the present embodiment, the
When the
The
The rotating
As shown in FIG. 3, the rotating
The rotating
The
The rotating
The
Next, the operation of the
In order to print on the
Subsequently, the pressure mechanism is operated to press the
Here, as shown in FIG. 5, foreign matter S such as dust and dust accumulated in the
In the
Accordingly, the foreign matter S such as dust and dust adhering to the print surface of the
Thus, the print surface is cleaned before the
As described above, according to the
Furthermore, the
In the present embodiment, for example, a static elimination brush as shown below may be adopted as the rotating
Examples of the static elimination brush include organic conductive fibers that are resin fibers obtained by mixing or coating conductive materials with acrylic fibers or polyester fibers, and carbon fibers that are fibers made of almost only carbon after a special heat treatment process. And metal fibers which are fibers obtained by extending a metal thinly and long.
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the rotating
For example, when a relatively large foreign matter is attached to the back side of the print surface of the
This embodiment can be modified as follows.
In the present embodiment, the
Since the fixed
Further, as shown in FIG. 9, the rotating
The rotating
Further, as the removing member, a plate-
