Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an engine oil level detection device, and more particularly to an engine oil level detection device that improves the visibility of an oil level gauge that measures the amount of oil and prevents the generation of abnormal noise.
In order to check the oil level inside the engine, an oil level detector equipped with an oil level gauge is provided in the engine for four wheels. The oil level gauge is inserted from the opening formed in the cylinder head cover, passes through the cylinder head and the guide holes of the cylinder block that make up the main body of the engine, reaches the oil pan, and the oil level of the engine oil in the oil pan Many structures have been taken to confirm.
In the conventional structure for checking the oil level with the oil level gauge, an intake manifold side insertion hole is formed in the flange portion of the intake manifold attached to the cylinder head, and the intake manifold side insertion hole is formed at the upper end of the intake manifold side insertion hole. A cylindrical oil level gauge guide extending diagonally upward is connected to the cylinder manifold, and the lower end of the intake manifold side insertion hole is linearly connected to the cylinder head side insertion hole formed in the cylinder head. The oil level gauge communicates with the block guide hole from an oblique direction, and is inserted into the oil pan through the oil level gauge guide through the intake manifold side insertion hole and cylinder head side insertion hole and into the oil pan. Some check the oil level. (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2009-275519)
In addition, in the conventional structure for checking the oil level with an oil level gauge, the lower end of the oil level gauge guide is arranged at an upper position near the boundary between the shallow bottom and deep bottom of the oil pan, and from the shallow bottom side of the oil pan. An inclined deep bottom portion is formed as a nozzle guide region between a protrusion formed so as to extend toward the deep bottom portion and the peripheral wall, and the tip of the oil level gauge penetrating the oil level gauge guide is formed by the inclined deep bottom portion. Some of them guide to the deep bottom and check the oil level of engine oil. (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2005-325798)
The oil level gauge is inserted into the oil pan through the guide hole of the engine body through an opening formed in the cylinder head cover. In the case of a structure for checking the oil level of the engine oil in the oil pan, a fitting structure using an O-ring or the like is used at the opening of the cylinder head cover to prevent the oil level gauge from coming off. However, if the cylinder head or cylinder block is simply passed through, the oil level gauge is swung due to vibrations during operation of the engine or oil vibrations, and intermittently comes into contact with the inner periphery of the guide hole inside the engine. Will occur.
In order to prevent the generation of abnormal noise, it is necessary to bring the oil level gauge into contact with the inner peripheral wall of the guide hole in advance by offsetting the middle of the guide hole with a cylinder head or a cylinder block. However, when pulling out the oil level gauge, it touches the inner peripheral wall of the offset part of the guide hole and the oil adheres to it, resulting in poor visibility, and the oil level gauge is scraped off at the edge part of the offset part of the guide hole. In other words, there are problems such as that the processing becomes difficult because the guide holes are offset. It was necessary to use a hard material with high wear resistance to cut the oil level gauge, which had an effect on the cost of the oil level gauge.
On the other hand, in the structure as described in
Further, in the structure as described in
In the oil level detection device, an object of the present invention is to improve the oil level gauge visibility while suppressing the occurrence of noise due to the vibration of the oil level gauge while improving the insertability of the oil level gauge.
According to the present invention, an opening for inserting an oil level gauge is formed in the upper part of the engine, a guide hole through which the oil level gauge passes is formed in the main body of the engine, and the oil level gauge is contacted in an oil pan. In the oil level detecting device for an engine in which the oil level gauge is curved in a predetermined direction, a space portion in which the oil level gauge can be linearly inserted into the oil pan is inserted into the guide hole. And forming the bulging part below the space part, and inclining a wall at a predetermined angle with respect to a direction in which the oil level gauge is inserted into the bulging part, and the oil level gauge from the inclined wall part. A vertical wall portion that curves in a direction away from the oil pan and extends to the bottom side of the oil pan, and the oil level gauge is inserted into or removed from the oil pan. The inclined wall portion is brought into contact only with the tip portion of the oil level gauge, while the vertical wall portion is brought into contact with the tip portion of the oil level gauge while the oil level gauge is completely inserted into the oil pan. It is characterized in that it is brought into contact with an indicator showing the level of the liquid level.
In the engine oil level detection device according to the present invention, only the tip of the oil level gauge contacts the inclined wall and the tip slides on the inclined wall during the insertion or removal of the oil level gauge from the oil pan. . As a result, when the oil level gauge moves on the inclined wall, only the tip of the oil level gauge always contacts the inclined wall, and the contact area between the oil level gauge and the inclined wall is kept constant. The oil level gauge can be inserted more easily.
Furthermore, at this time, only the tip of the oil level gauge contacts the inclined wall portion, and a gap is generated between the oil level detecting portion provided above the tip portion of the oil level gauge and the inclined wall portion. It is possible to prevent the oil level detecting part of the level gauge from contacting the inclined wall part.
As a result, when the oil level gauge of the present invention is pulled out from the engine body, the oil level detection part of the oil level gauge comes into contact with the inclined wall part or the bulging part and excess oil is removed. It is possible to avoid the oil from adhering or wiping off the oil adhering to the oil level detection unit. As a result, it is possible to prevent erroneous detection of the amount of oil adhering to the oil level detection unit, and to improve the visibility of the inspector.
In the engine oil level detection device according to the present invention, when the oil level gauge is continuously inserted into the bottom of the oil pan, the tip of the oil level gauge is separated from the inclined wall portion by the vertical wall portion and vertically downward. And move. Then, in a state where the oil level gauge is completely inserted into the oil pan, the vertical wall portion comes into contact between the tip portion of the oil level gauge and the index indicating the low level liquid level.
At this time, since the oil level gauge is bent at the vertical wall portion, a force is generated to restore the oil level gauge in a straight line. As a result, the oil level gauge can be fixed in the oil pan in a stable state by pressing the vertical wall portion.
As a result, the oil level detecting device for an engine according to the present invention prevents the oil level gauge from vibrating due to the vibration of the vehicle without the oil level detecting portion of the oil level gauge contacting the vertical wall portion. It is possible to suppress abnormal noise from coming into contact with the peripheral parts.
Embodiments will be described below with reference to the drawings.
1 to 6 show an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
