Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a rear suspension apparatus having a trailing arm, and more particularly to a rear suspension apparatus characterized by toe-in and toe-out displacement characteristics of a trailing arm when a vehicle is turning.
In a rear suspension device for an automobile, as described in Patent Document 1 (Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 56-62205), a trailing that extends from an axle support portion that supports a wheel to the front side of the vehicle and is connected to a vehicle body frame. The arm, a pair of upper and lower arm members arranged in parallel with each other for connecting the upper and lower two points of the axle support portion and the two upper and lower pivot support members provided on the center side of the vehicle body, and the vertical position of the axle support portion are determined. A pair of left and right springs and shock absorbers that cushion the vertical component of the road surface reaction force applied through the wheels are provided, and the rear wheels are aligned while allowing relative displacement of the left and right rear wheels. Those configured to maintain are known.
In general, when the vehicle is turning, the load concentrates on the wheels on the outer side of the turn, so that the running stability of the vehicle at the time of turning is greatly affected by the toe characteristics (lateral force compliance steer) of the wheels on the outer side of the turn. . Then, it is known that if the lateral force compliance steer is increased by displacing the wheel on the outer side of the turn to the toe-in side, the running stability during turning is improved.
In the case of a rear suspension device configured as in Patent Document 1, it is necessary to control the toe change characteristic (lateral force compliance steer) during turning of the vehicle with the front and rear bushes, and the bush characteristics are various vehicle characteristics. Therefore, it was difficult to adjust the lateral force compliance steer toward the toe-in side.
On the other hand, if the rigidity of the trailing arm is too high, it may adversely affect the ride comfort, and the trailing arm is constituted by a leaf spring-like elastic member as in Patent Document 2 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 62-29406). However, a configuration has been proposed in which left and right bending deformation can be allowed. In the case of such a rear suspension device, it is relatively easy to displace the outer wheel on the toe-in side when the vehicle is turning, but on the contrary, the left and right rigidity is reduced, which greatly affects the unevenness of the road surface. You will receive it. For example, if an input to the outside of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction is applied to the wheels due to the unevenness of the road surface, the wheels may tend to toe out. For this reason, when turning, the wheels on the outside of the turn tend to toe out when the outside of the wheel is applied to the outside in the vehicle width direction due to the unevenness of the road surface, and the running stability of the vehicle is impaired. was there. This problem can be said to be the same even when employed in a suspension in which left and right wheels are suspended independently as in Patent Document 1.
In order to solve this problem, Patent Document 3 (Japanese Patent Publication No. 62-48602) discloses a configuration that restricts the toe-out displacement of the wheel.
In the rear suspension device disclosed in
However, in the case of the configuration of
The present invention suppresses the increase in weight and cost as much as possible, increases the toe-in change of the trailing arm combination during turning with a simple configuration, and regulates the toe-out change to stabilize the steering of the vehicle during turning. An object of the present invention is to provide a rear suspension device that further improves the performance.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the rear suspension device of the first aspect, the trailing arm is formed with an engaging portion on the vehicle front side of the elastic displacement promoting portion, and the stopper lever has the A stopper member that protrudes from the engaging portion and is displaceable between an engaged state that engages with the trailing arm and a non-engaged state that does not engage with the trailing arm is formed. The stopper member is disengaged when a load is applied to the axle support portion toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction, and is engaged when a load is applied to the axle support portion toward the outer side of the vehicle width direction. It is characterized by becoming.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the rear suspension device according to the first or second aspect, the trailing arm has a vertical wall and a flange that bends and extends inward in the vehicle width direction from the upper and lower end edges thereof. The elastic displacement promoting part is formed by forming a substantially U-shaped cross section and cutting out a part of the flange.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the rear suspension device according to the third aspect, the engaging portion is a long hole-like locking hole formed in the vertical wall of the trailing arm and extending in the vehicle front-rear direction. The stopper member protrudes from the front end portion of the stopper lever toward the vehicle width direction and is fitted in the vicinity of the inner peripheral edge of the locking hole on the vehicle front side. When an inward load is applied, the stopper member is displaced so as to be disengaged from the inner peripheral edge of the locking hole on the front side of the vehicle and maintains the disengaged state, and the axle support portion is maintained in the vehicle width direction. When a load on the outside of the vehicle is applied, the trailing edge of the locking hole on the vehicle front side and the stopper member come into contact with each other to be in an engaged state, so that the trailing arm and the stopper lever are integrated. It is characterized by being made.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the rear suspension apparatus according to the third aspect, the coupling portion is a locking hole provided in the vertical wall of the trailing arm, and the stopper member is formed of the stopper lever. A front end projecting in the vehicle width direction and fitted into the locking hole, and has a hook formed at the end so as not to be able to pass through the locking hole. When a load on the vehicle inner side in the vehicle width direction is applied, the hook of the stopper member is displaced so as to be detached from the locking hole and maintains the non-engaged state, and the vehicle wheel direction vehicle outer side is maintained on the axle support portion. When a load is applied, the hook of the stopper member comes into contact with the vertical wall at the peripheral edge of the locking hole to be engaged, and the trailing arm and the stopper lever are integrated. It is characterized by.
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the rear suspension device according to the third aspect, the engagement portion extends from the trailing arm to the vehicle width direction vehicle outer side, and is a long hole-like lock that is long in the vehicle width direction. The stopper member is formed so as to protrude from the front end of the stopper lever toward the front of the vehicle and to be fitted in the vicinity of the inner peripheral edge of the locking hole in the vehicle width direction. When the load on the inner side in the vehicle width direction acts on the axle support portion, the stopper member is displaced so as to be disengaged from the inner peripheral edge of the locking hole on the outer side in the vehicle width direction. When the engagement state is maintained and a load to the outside of the vehicle width direction acts on the axle support portion, the inner peripheral edge of the locking hole on the vehicle width direction outside and the stopper member come into contact with each other. By engaging, the trailing arm and the strut Characterized in that the Pareba are integrated.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, when a load, which is a road surface reaction force received by a wheel when the vehicle is turning, acts on the axle support portion toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction, the stopper lever is attached to the trailing arm. Allow inward displacement in the vehicle width direction. Further, when the load received by the wheels due to the unevenness of the road surface acts on the axle support portion toward the outside of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction, the stopper lever engages with the trailing arm so as to be integrated. Since the displacement of the arm outward in the vehicle width direction is restricted, the toe-out displacement on the swinging end side of the rear portion of the trailing arm can be prevented. In other words, it is possible to improve the running stability during the turning of the vehicle by allowing the wheels on the outside of the turning to be in a toe-in state during turning, and preventing the toe-out state from being caused by road surface unevenness or the like. .
According to the invention of
According to the invention of
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, when the load received during the turning of the vehicle acts on the axle support portion toward the vehicle inner side in the vehicle width direction, the stopper member extends from the inner peripheral edge on the vehicle front side of the locking hole. When the trailing arm is displaced so as to be disengaged to allow the displacement of the trailing arm toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction, and when the load received by the wheel acts on the axle support portion toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction, the stopper member Since the side wall surface of the door is in pressure contact with the inner peripheral edge of the locking hole on the vehicle front side, the toe-out displacement on the swinging end side of the trailing arm can be prevented, so that the vehicle can be turned with a simple configuration with reduced cost and weight. Travel stability during travel can be ensured.
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, when the load received during the turning of the vehicle acts on the axle support portion toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction, the hook of the stopper member is displaced so as to be detached from the locking hole. To maintain the disengaged state and allow the trailing arm to displace inward in the vehicle width direction, and when the load received by the wheel acts toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction with respect to the axle support. Since the hook of the stopper member comes into contact with the vertical wall of the peripheral edge of the locking hole and becomes engaged, the trailing arm and the stopper lever are integrated to prevent toe-out displacement on the swinging end side of the trailing arm. In addition, it is possible to ensure the running stability when the vehicle is turning with a simple configuration with reduced cost and weight.
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, when the load received during the turning of the vehicle acts on the axle support portion toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction, the stopper member is located inside the outer side of the vehicle width direction of the locking hole. Displaced from the vicinity of the periphery and maintained in a disengaged state to allow the trailing arm to displace inward in the vehicle width direction, and further, the load received by the wheel is the vehicle in the vehicle width direction relative to the axle support. When acting toward the outside, the stopper member comes into contact with the inner peripheral edge of the engagement hole in the vehicle width direction and enters the engaged state, and the trailing arm and the stopper lever are integrated to swing the trailing arm. Since the toe-out displacement on the end side can be prevented, the running stability when the vehicle is turning can be ensured with a simple configuration with reduced cost and weight.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the
On the other hand, the
The
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the trailing arm combined body TC has a vertical wall wr1 and a bent flange wr2 which is bent and extended from the upper and lower ends to the vehicle width direction Y vehicle compartment side in the vehicle body longitudinal direction X. Long formed. That is, the trailing

As shown in FIG. 4A, a cutout portion c1 is formed on the side of the
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, a locking

The
According to the above configuration, when a load acts on the vehicle width direction Y vehicle inner side, the trailing

In the above description, the left-side rear suspension device S has been mainly described. However, the right-hand side also has a bilaterally symmetric configuration, and redundant description is omitted here.
The behavior of the rear suspension device S as the first embodiment of FIG. 1 adopting such a configuration will be described.
When the vehicle is running, the rear suspension device S of the first embodiment, when driving force or braking force is applied to the left and right wheels W, applies the reaction force to the trailing arm combined body TC and the left and right link systems rk (upper The

Next, the movement (displacement state) of the trailing arm combined body TC when the vehicle travels straight and turns will be described in more detail with reference to FIGS. FIG. 6 shows a comparison of the displacement (deformation) state (shown by a solid line) of the trailing arm combined body TC outside the turn during turning of the vehicle with the shape (shown by a two-dot chain line) during normal straight running. 6 (a) shows a case where a load Fi (lateral force) acts on the inner side in the vehicle width direction, and FIG. 6 (b) shows a case where a load Fo (input due to road surface unevenness) acts on the outer side in the vehicle width direction. Shows the case. FIG. 9 is a diagram schematically showing the state of displacement (deformation) of the trailing arm combined body TC according to the input state of the load from the wheel W. FIG. 9A shows a case where there is no input (load) in the vehicle width direction Y with respect to the
When the vehicle is traveling straight ahead, an excessive lateral force is not applied to the wheels W, and a stopper (as shown in FIG. 5) is provided in the locking
When the vehicle enters the turning traveling state, as shown by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 6A, the wheel W on the outer side of the turning is loaded on the inner side of the turning (turning center side) with respect to the centrifugal force acting on the vehicle body. Fi (lateral force) acts.
At this time, the load Fi is also input from the wheel W side to the
When the
At this time, the
The displacement state in the vehicle width direction Y of the trailing arm combination TC on the outside of the turn is shown by a solid line in FIG. 9B as a schematic diagram.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6 (b), when a load Fo acts on the wheels W in the vehicle width direction Y outside the vehicle due to road surface unevenness or the like during turning of the vehicle, the axle support portion of the trailing arm combination TC is applied. 9 (the two-dot chain line position is a position in a steady state) receives the load Fo on the outside of the vehicle and tries to displace to the outside of the vehicle. At this time, the trailing
FIG. 9C schematically shows the toe-out blocking state of the trailing arm combination TC by a solid line.
As described above, in the first embodiment, first, the trailing
As a result, according to the rear suspension device S of the first embodiment of the present invention, when the vehicle is turning, the trailing arm 12 (trailing arm combination TC) on the outer side of the turn moves in the vehicle width direction Y toward the inner side of the vehicle. Displacement (deformation) is allowed to promote the turning-out wheel W to be in a toe-in state, and the trailing arm 12 (trailing arm combination TC) is displaced (deformation) in the vehicle width direction Y outside the vehicle. Suppressing and preventing the wheels W from entering a toe-out state due to unevenness on the road surface can improve the running stability when the vehicle is turning.
In the first embodiment, the configuration of the conventional trailing arm combined body is not changed greatly, and the basic configuration is simply an increase of the
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
The basic configuration of the second embodiment is the same as that of the rear suspension device S of the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1, and the configuration of the
Therefore, the trailing arm combined body TCa here is different from the trailing arm combined body TC of the first embodiment shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B in comparison with the trailing arm combined body TC. Since the engaging
FIG. 7A shows a schematic overall view of the trailing arm combined body TCa, and FIGS. 7B and 7C show the main configuration of the
As shown in FIGS. 7A to 7C, the
As shown in FIG. 10A, the load in the vehicle width direction Y received by the wheels W is small and negligible when the vehicle is traveling straight (when there is no large input from road surface unevenness). In addition, the trailing
When the vehicle is turning, in the trailing arm combination TCa that is on the outer side in the turning direction, the trailing
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 10 (c), when a wheel Fo is applied to the wheels W due to the unevenness of the road surface during turning of the vehicle, the axle support portion 9a is moved in the vehicle width direction by the load Fo. Although it is going to displace to the Y wheel outer side, the toe-out displacement of the axle support part 9a is blocked | prevented by the
As described above, in the second embodiment as well as in the first embodiment, the trailing
Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
The basic configuration of the third embodiment is the same as that of the rear suspension device S of the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1, and the
Therefore, the trailing arm combination TCb here is different from the trailing arm combination TC according to the first embodiment shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, and the trailing
FIGS. 8A and 8B are schematic overall views of the trailing arm combined body TCb, and FIG. 8C shows the configuration of the main part of the front protrusion 372b of the
As shown in FIGS. 8A and 8B, the trailing arm combination TCb includes a trailing
A protruding member 41 having a base end welded and extending outward in the vehicle width direction Y is provided on the vertical wall wr1 at a substantially middle portion in the vehicle body longitudinal direction X of the trailing
The protruding member 41 is formed with a long hole-shaped
The protruding member 41 is the engaging portion of the present invention, and the
As shown in FIG. 11A, when the vehicle is in a straight traveling state (a state in which there is no large input from road surface unevenness), the trailing arm combination TCb does not receive a load (lateral force), and the trailing arm There is no displacement at the elastic displacement promoting portion C of 12b, and the trailing arm combination TCb maintains a steady state.
When the vehicle is turning, the trailing arm combined body TCb positioned on the outer side in the turning direction is elastically moved by the load Fi acting on the inner side in the vehicle width direction Y as shown by the solid line in FIG. By deforming at the deformation promoting portion C, the front side of the
At this time, the
On the other hand, when a load Fo is applied to the wheel W due to the unevenness of the road surface when the vehicle is turning, the vehicle wheel width direction Y vehicle outer side is applied to the
At this time, the
As described above, also in the third embodiment, the trailing
The present inventor, when a load on the vehicle inner side in the vehicle width direction acts on the wheel W of the rear suspension device S applied to the present invention (assuming a lateral force due to turning), the wheel W is moved outward in the vehicle width direction. The analysis of the toe-in change amount when the load is applied (assuming input due to road surface unevenness or the like) is shown in FIG.
In FIG. 12, CASE 1 is an embodiment of the present invention, and when the trailing arm combination TC is provided with the
In FIG. 12, (inward) indicates the toe change amount data when the trailing arm 12 (wheel W) receives the load Fi toward the vehicle interior outside the turn, and (outward) indicates the road surface. The toe change amount data in the case where the trailing arm 12 (wheel W) receives the load Fo toward the outside of the vehicle due to the unevenness of the toe.
When it is assumed that the trailing
On the other hand, when it is assumed that the trailing
Thus, with the trailing arm combination TC of CASE 1 applied to the present invention, the toe-in displacement of the trailing arm 12 (wheel W) on the outer side in the turning direction is actively promoted when the vehicle is turning. In addition, since the toe-out displacement can be reliably suppressed, the running stability when the vehicle is turning can be reliably improved with a simple configuration with reduced cost and weight.
