Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a feeling of driving and reduce noise through reducing not only the quantity of lateral movement but also resisting force against a vertical movement by forming a trailing arm with a member which has sufficient elasticity in the left and right directions of a car body and high rigidity in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:The front edge of a trailing arm 1 is pivoted through a rubber bush 2 on a body frame so as to freely sway vertically, while a knuckle arm 3 is fitted on the rear end of said arm 1. A spindle 5 projected outward from the knuckle arm 3 rotatably supports a wheel 6. The arm 1 is formed by a member which has sufficient elasticity in the left and right directions of a car body and high rigidity in the vertical direction. Lateral movement is borne by lateral deflection of the arm 1 and deflection of the bush 2, thereby reducing the resisting force against vertical movement of the arm 1 generated in the bush 2. Deterioration of the feeling of driving and generation of a noise and the like due to said resisting force are prevented.

, an upper arm 107, a lower arm 108, and a wheel 1 connected to the upper and lower ends of the knuckle arm 103, respectively.
In an independent suspension type rear suspension composed of a correction link 109 that corrects toe changes due to vertical movement of the 06, since the trailing arm 101 is a rigid body, the front end of the trailing arm 101 A lateral movement is required in the bushing 102. This lateral movement causes the bushing 102 to move the trailing arm 1
A resistance force was generated against the vertical movement of the 01, and this resistance force caused the vehicle body to vibrate, thereby impairing ride comfort and producing noise.

In order to achieve such an object, the present invention provides an independent suspension type rear suspension composed of a trailing arm, an upper arm, a lower 4-arm, and a correction link, in which the trailing arm is sufficiently extended in the left-right direction of the vehicle body. Its feature is that it is made of a member that is elastic and highly rigid in the vertical direction.

In the figure, 1 is a trailing arm whose front end is pivoted to the vehicle body frame (not shown) via a rubber bush 2 so as to be able to swing vertically, and a knuckle arm 3 is attached to the rear end of this arm by a bolt 4.・It is bound by. By the way, the trailing arm 1 has sufficient elasticity in the left-right direction of the vehicle body, and is made of a highly rigid member such as a leaf spring in the up-down direction.

On the other hand, one end of an upper arm 7 and a lower arm 7-8 are connected to the upper and lower ends of the knuckle arm 3, respectively, as shown in the figure, and the other ends of these upper arms 7 and lower arms 7-8 are connected to the vehicle body frame. has been done. Further, a correction link 9 is disposed in front of the lower arm 8, and one end of this link is connected to the knuckle arm 3, and the other end is connected to the vehicle body frame.

Therefore, the toe change caused by the vertical movement of the wheel 6 is corrected by the lateral movement of the trailing arm 1 due to the restraining action of the correction link 9, but the trailing arm 1 is deflected by the correction link 9 as shown in FIG. Therefore, the lateral movement is borne by the lateral deflection of the trailing arm 1 and the flexure of the bushing 2. As a result, the amount of lateral movement of the bushing 2 is reduced by the lateral deflection of the trailing arm 1 compared to the conventional one. Therefore, the resistance force generated in the bush 2 portion against the vertical movement of the trailing arm 1 is also reduced, and it is possible to effectively prevent a reduction in ride comfort, generation of noise, etc. due to this resistance force.

In FIG. 4, a part 11a of the trailing arm 11 is formed to be rigid in the left and right directions, and the lateral movement is caused by the lateral deflection of the part 11b between the bush 12 and the compensation link 19 of the trailing arm 11. A portion will be covered.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the trailing arm is made of a member that has sufficient elasticity in the left-right direction of the vehicle body and is highly rigid in the height direction. Can this reduce the amount of lateral movement? ) It is possible to reduce the resistance force against the vertical movement of the railing arm, improve ride comfort, reduce noise, etc.
