Abstract
【解決手段】 排気浄化触媒55の温度が所定温度に満たない時(冷態始動時等の冷態時)に、吸気行程中を含む時期に燃料を噴射し、混合気の燃料リッチ部分を点火プラグ3の周囲に集めて着火を安定させ、点火時期を遅角して排気温度を上昇させ、燃料リッチ部分のCOと燃料リーン部分のO2を排気ガスに共存させ、筒内の膨張行程後半における酸化反応や、排気管内での酸化反応、及び、排気浄化触媒55の酸化反応を促進して排気浄化触媒55の温度を昇温させる。

とされる。
即ち、噴射終了時期(θEOI)<Min(θACC0、θIBDC)−θdly
とされる。
つまり、吸気バルブ7が閉じている状態で燃料が噴射されて燃料が十分に均質混合された混合気が筒内に供給されるように噴射開始時期(θSOI)が設定される。

Claims (4)
- 燃料を吸気通路内に噴射するインジェクタと、
前記吸気通路と筒内とを連通する吸気開口と、
吸気行程中に前記インジェクタから燃料を噴射させる吸気行程噴射手段を少なくとも含む燃料噴射手段と、
排気浄化触媒の温度が所定温度以下の場合に前記吸気行程噴射手段を制御し、前記吸気行程中に前記インジェクタから燃料を噴射させ、前記吸気開口から前記筒内に燃料を導入することで前記筒内に成層混合気を形成する制御手段とを備え、
前記制御手段は、
前記インジェクタからの燃料噴射期間の中心が、吸気バルブに閉動作方向の変位速度が生じる以前に位置するように前記吸気行程噴射手段を動作させて燃料を噴射させる
ことを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 請求項1に記載の内燃機関において、
前記制御手段は、
前記吸気バルブに閉動作方向の変位速度が生じる以前に前記吸気行程噴射手段を動作させて前記インジェクタからの燃料噴射を完了させる
ことを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 請求項1もしくは請求項2に記載の内燃機関において、
前記インジェクタは、
前記吸気行程噴射手段の動作により噴射された燃料が、前記吸気バルブの傘部外周と前記吸気開口の開口縁部との間を通り、前記成層混合気の燃料リッチ部分を点火プラグ周りに案内するように備えられている
ことを特徴とする内燃機関。 - 請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関において、
前記吸気バルブの開閉時期が前記制御手段により変更されるバルブ開閉時期変更手段を備え、
前記制御手段は、
前記バルブ開閉時期変更手段により前記吸気バルブの閉時期を吸気下死点近傍に設定する
ことを特徴とする内燃機関。
