Abstract

Claims (3)
- 流体継手装置に取り付けられた冷却ファンを備える型式のファン駆動装置組立体であって、前記冷却ファンが、ファンハブと、スパイダ部分と、該ファンハブから半径方向に伸長する複数のファンブレードとを備え、前記流体継手装置が、後面を有する本体部材及び前記本体部材との間で流体チャンバを画定し得るように前記本体部材と協働するカバー部材を備える回転可能な継手組立体と、前記継手組立体に対して回転し得るように、前記流体チャンバ内に配置された回転可能な継手部材とを備え、前記継手組立体及び前記継手部材が協働してその間に粘性せん断チャンバを画定し、これにより、前記粘性せん断チャンバ内に粘性流体が存在することに応答してトルクが前記継手部材から前記継手部材に伝達されるようにし、前記本体部材が、複数の冷却フィンと、複数の取り付け部分とを有し、前記スパイダ部分が、前記取り付け部分に取り付けられ且つパイロット直径部分を画定する、ファン駆動装置組立体において、
(a)前記本体部材が前記取り付け部分の三つだけを有し、前記取り付け部分の三つの各々が前記本体部材の外周に極く隣接して配置されることと、
(b)前記取り付け部分の各々が、その後面にスパイダ取り付け面を含み、前記スパイダ取り付け面が、前記スパイダ部分の前記パイロット直径部分と係合する状態にある半径方向に配置されたパイロット面を有することと、
(c)前記複数の冷却フィンが、前記取り付け部分により覆われない前記本体部材の前記後面の実質的に全てを覆うことと、
(d)前記本体部材が外径を画定し、前記スパイダ部分のパイロット直径部分が、前記外径の約53%乃至83%の範囲の直径を画定することとを特徴とするファン駆動装置組立体。 - ファン駆動装置組立体において、
スパイダ部分と、前記スパイダ部分に取り付けられたハブと、前記ハブから半径方向に伸長する複数のブレードとを備える冷却ファンであって、前記スパイダ部分が、パイロット直径部分を画定する中央の開口部を有する、冷却ファンと、
複数の取り付け部分が形成された後面を有する本体部材であって、前記取り付け部分の各々が、環状のスパイダ取り付け面と、前記パイロット直径部分と接触するように構成された半径方向に配置されたパイロット面とを画定し、前記複数の取り付け部分の各々が、外周と、前記外周において機械チャック止め面とを画定する、本体部分と、
前記スパイダ部分が前記環状の取り付け面に接触し前記パイロット直径部分が前記パイロット面と係合した状態で、前記スパイダ部分を前記複数の取り付け部分に取り付けるための取り付け手段と、
前記本体部材及び回転運動源の間に係合して前記本体部材にトルクを伝達し、これによって、前記冷却ファンを回転させる、継手部材とを備えるファン駆動装置組立体。 - ファン駆動装置組立体において、
スパイダ部分と、前記スパイダ部分に取り付けられたハブと、前記ハブから半径方向に伸長する複数のブレードとを備える冷却ファンであって、前記スパイダ部分が、パイロット直径部分を画定する中央の開口部を有する、冷却ファンと、
複数の取り付け部分が形成された後面を有する本体部材であって、前記取り付け部分の各々が、環状のスパイダ取り付け面と、前記パイロット直径部分と接触するように構成された半径方向に配置されたパイロット面とを画定し、前記複数の取り付け部分の各々が、外周と、前記外周において機械チャック止め面とを画定し、前記複数の取り付け部分の前記外周が円形であり、前記機械チャック止め面が直線状である、本体部分と、
前記スパイダ部分が前記環状の取り付け面に接触し前記パイロット直径部分が前記パイロット面と係合した状態で、前記スパイダ部分を前記複数の取り付け部分に取り付けるための取り付け手段と、
前記本体部材及び回転運動源の間に係合して前記本体部材にトルクを伝達し、これによって、前記冷却ファンを回転させる、継手部材とを備えるファン駆動装置組立体。
