Abstract
Description
本出願は、2005年2月1日に提出された米国仮出願第60/648,829号に対する優先権を主張するものである。
Claims (23)
- 排気ガス流を制御するための電気的排気ガス再循環弁のアセンブリであって、
排気ガスの流路を形成する弁ハウジングと、
前記弁ハウジング内で移動可能な、前記弁ハウジングを通る排気ガス流を制御するための弁素子と、
前記弁素子に取付けられた較正プラグと、
前記較正プラグに取付けられたアーマチュアを含み、前記弁素子を選択的に駆動するためのアクチュエータとを含むアセンブリ。 - 前記較正プラグと前記弁素子との接続が、アーマチュア位置と弁素子位置との所望の関係を較正すべく調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記較正プラグに取付けられ、所望の位置に向けて弁素子にバイアスを加えるバネを保持するバネ保持体を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記バネ保持体に前記較正プラグを収容するキーホールが含まれることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記弁ハウジングに、吸気口と排気口を備える内腔と、前記弁素子に対応する、前記内腔内で前記吸気口と前記排気口の間に配置された弁座が含まれ、前記内腔に、少なくとも前記弁座が組み付けられる開放端と、前記開放端を閉じるためのエンドプラグが含まれることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記エンドプラグが前記内腔にバネ張力を加えることを特徴とする請求項5記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アーマチュアが前記アクチュエータ内で移動可能な軸に支持されることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記軸における前記アーマチュアの線形位置が、所望の磁気特性を較正するために調整可能であることを特徴とする請求項7記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アクチュエータに、前記アーマチュアが移動する内腔を形成するコイルアセンブリが含まれることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 上部ステータ及び下部ステータによって、磁束通路の一部が形成されることと、前記上部ステータ及び前記下部ステータの各々に、前記コイルの内腔内に延びる部分が含まれることを特徴とする請求項9記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アクチュエータの上面に取付けられる上部と、前記コイルのまわりを下方に延びる少なくとも2つのフィンガを具備するシェルを成す外部シェルが含まれることと、前記少なくとも2つのフィンガの各々に、前記シェルを前記コイルに固定するためのタブが含まれることを特徴とする請求項10記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アクチュエータが、硬化可能材料によって少なくとも部分的に外被を施されたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アクチュエータが前記弁ハウジングに取付けられることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アクチュエータに、様々な構造の弁ハウジングに取付け可能なモジュール式アセンブリが含まれることを特徴とする請求項13記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記アクチュエータ内における前記アーマチュアの位置を測定するためのセンサアセンブリが含まれることを特徴とする請求項1記載のアセンブリ。
- 排気ガス再循環装置を組み立てる方法であって、以下の工程を含む方法。
a)弁ハウジングを通るガス流路を形成する工程、
b)前記弁ハウジング内に弁素子を支持する工程、
c)前記弁ハウジングにアクチュエータを取付ける工程および
d)前記アクチュエータの動作によって前記弁素子の動作を較正するのに望ましい関連配向をなすように、前記弁素子に対して前記アクチュエータのアーマチュアを位置決めする工程。 - 工程dに、更に、前記較正プラグのステムを前記弁素子に圧入する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記較正プラグにバネ保持体を組み付ける工程と、バネを組み付けて、所望の位置に向けて前記弁素子にバイアスを加える工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項17記載の方法。
- 前記アクチュエータ内に配置された軸に前記アーマチュアを組み付ける工程と、前記軸上において前記アーマチュアを位置決めし、前記アーマチュアの所望の磁気特性が得られるようにする工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記アクチュエータ内にセンサを組み付けて、前記アーマチュアの位置を測定する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- アクチュエータを製作する工程に、上部ステータ及び下部ステータをコイルアセンブリに挿入して、前記コイルアセンブリに磁束ストラップを巻きつけ、磁気回路を形成する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記コイルアセンブリに前記磁束ストラップを巻きつける工程に、前記コイルアセンブリまわりの第1の表面から第2の表面まで、第1及び第2のストラップを曲げる工程と、前記第1及び第2のストラップの各々に配置されたタブを前記第2の表面の上に曲げる工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項21記載の方法。
- 前記アクチュエータに外被を施す工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項22記載の方法。
