Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire in which the number of laminated carcass layers in the side region is larger than the number of laminated carcass layers in the lower region of the belt layer, more specifically, suppressing the occurrence of internal failure in the vulcanization process, Furthermore, the present invention relates to a pneumatic tire that can be reduced in weight by reducing the number of tie rubber layers.
Conventionally, in a pneumatic tire, it has been proposed that the number of carcass layers stacked in the side region from the end of the belt layer to the bead portion be larger than the number of carcass layers stacked in the lower region of the belt layer (for example, Patent Document 1). Such a pneumatic tire has a relatively large number of laminated carcass layers in the side region, so that the tire performance such as steering stability can be improved, and the number of laminated carcass layers in the lower region of the belt layer. Therefore, there is an advantage that the material used can be reduced and the weight can be reduced.
An object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic tire that suppresses the occurrence of an inner surface failure in the vulcanization process, and further enables weight reduction by reducing the tie rubber layer.
In order to achieve the above object, a pneumatic tire according to the present invention has a carcass layer mounted between a pair of bead portions, and a plurality of belt layers are disposed on the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer in a tread portion. The number of carcass layers in the side region from both end portions to each bead portion is made larger than the number of carcass layers in the lower region of the belt layer, and an inner liner layer is disposed on the tire inner surface along the carcass layer. In the pneumatic tire, a tie rubber layer is selectively disposed in a region between the carcass layer and the inner liner layer and excluding the center region of the tread portion, and an edge of the tie rubber layer on the outer side in the tire radial direction is disposed. It is characterized by being arranged in the range of 10% to 40% of the width of the belt layer from the edge of the belt layer having the second largest width to the inside in the tire width direction. It is intended.
Further, the pneumatic tire of the present invention for achieving the above object is a pneumatic tire in which the mounting direction of the tire front and back when the vehicle is mounted is specified, and a carcass layer is mounted between a pair of bead parts, A plurality of belt layers are arranged on the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer in the tread portion, and the number of stacked carcass layers in the side region outside the vehicle from the vehicle outer end to the bead portion of the belt layer is below the belt layer. And a tread portion between the carcass layer and the inner liner layer in a pneumatic tire in which an inner liner layer is disposed on the inner surface of the tire along the carcass layer. A tie rubber layer is selectively disposed in a portion other than the center region of the tire, and the edge of the tie rubber layer on the outer side in the tire radial direction is the second widest bell. It is characterized in that it has placed the edges of the layers within the tire width direction inner side of the 10% to 40% of the width of the belt layer.
In the present invention, in the pneumatic tire in which the number of carcass layers stacked in the side region from the end of the belt layer to the bead portion is larger than the number of carcass layers stacked in the lower region of the belt layer, the carcass layer and the inner liner layer By selectively disposing the tie rubber layer in a region other than the center region of the tread portion, the radius of curvature of the tire inner surface in the vicinity of the shoulder portion that becomes the boundary between the lower region of the belt layer and the side region is slightly Therefore, the contact of the vulcanization bladder with the tire inner surface can be made uniform, and the occurrence of an inner surface failure in the vulcanization process can be suppressed.
In addition, since the tie rubber layer is locally arranged as described above, the amount of the tie rubber layer is reduced and the weight of the tire is reduced as compared with the case where the tie rubber layer is provided over the entire area between the carcass layer and the inner liner layer. Can be planned. According to the inventor's knowledge, since the belt layer and the tread rubber are present in the center region of the tread portion, the air permeation preventing performance can be sufficiently ensured even if the tie rubber layer is excluded from the portion. The center region of the tread portion is less deformed due to the presence of the belt layer, so that the bonding state between the carcass layer and the inner liner layer can be maintained well even if the tie rubber layer is excluded from the portion.
Furthermore, when the number of carcass layers stacked in the side region outside the vehicle is greater than the number of carcass layers stacked in the side region inside the vehicle, the occurrence of inner surface failure in the vulcanization process is suppressed, and the weight of the tie rubber layer is reduced. In addition to improving the driving stability, it is possible to improve steering stability and riding comfort in a well-balanced manner.
In the present invention, the tire radial inner edge of the tie rubber layer is located at a
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 shows a pneumatic tire according to an embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1, 1 is a tread portion, 2 is a sidewall portion, and 3 is a bead portion. As shown in FIG. 1, a carcass layer 4 </ b> A including a plurality of carcass cords extending in the tire radial direction is mounted between the pair of bead portions 3 and 3. The
On the other hand, on the outer peripheral side of the
An

In the pneumatic tire, when the number of carcass layers stacked in the side region from the end of the
When the
In the pneumatic tire, the
On the other hand, an
In the embodiment described above, the two
Carcass strength coefficient (N / mm · kPa) = [Number of reinforcement cords driven (pieces / mm)] × [Strength of reinforcement cord (N)] × [Number of carcass layers] ÷ [Maximum air pressure (kPa)]
In other words, since the belt layer shares internal pressure retention in the lower region of the belt layer, the carcass strength coefficient can be set low to reduce the carcass material, and in the side region where the belt layer does not exist, the carcass strength coefficient is set high. By doing so, sufficient strength as a pressure vessel can be exhibited. If the carcass strength coefficient in the lower region of the belt layer is less than 0.15 N / mm · kPa, the strength as a pressure vessel is insufficient. Conversely, if it exceeds 0.35 N / mm · kPa, the effect of reducing the carcass material is reduced. . Further, if the carcass strength coefficient in the side region is less than 0.5 N / mm · kPa, the strength as a pressure vessel is insufficient.
FIG. 2 shows a pneumatic tire according to another embodiment of the present invention. This pneumatic tire is a tire in which the mounting direction of the tire front and back when the vehicle is mounted is designated. In FIG. 2, IN is the inside of the vehicle when the vehicle is mounted, and OUT is the outside of the vehicle when the vehicle is mounted. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected about the same thing as FIG. 1, and the detailed description of the part is abbreviate | omitted.
As shown in FIG. 2, a carcass layer 4 </ b> A including a plurality of carcass cords extending in the tire radial direction is mounted between the pair of bead portions 3 and 3. The
In the pneumatic tire, as in the above-described embodiment, the

Furthermore, in the above pneumatic tire, the number of carcass layers stacked in the side region outside the vehicle is larger than the number of carcass layers stacked in the side region inside the vehicle, so that both steering stability and riding comfort can be achieved. it can. That is, since the rigidity of the
In the tire size 165SR13, a carcass layer is mounted between a pair of bead portions, a plurality of belt layers are disposed on the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer in the tread portion, and in a side region from both ends of the belt layer to each bead portion. In a pneumatic tire in which the number of carcass layers is two, the number of carcass layers in the lower region of the belt layer is one, and an inner liner layer is disposed on the inner surface of the tire along the carcass layer. The tires of Conventional Example 1, Examples 1 to 3 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 (see FIG. 1), in which the configurations of the tie rubber layers interposed between the layers were varied as shown in Table 1, were produced.
As the carcass cord, a polyester cord (1100 dtex / 2) was used, and the driving density was set to 22/50 mm. While in Examples 1-3 and Comparative Examples 1-2, the position of the edge of the tie rubber layer on the outer side in the tire radial direction (distance from the edge of the belt layer with respect to the width W of the second widest belt layer) is varied. The inner edge of the tie rubber layer in the tire radial direction was disposed at the maximum tire width position.
These test tires were evaluated for mass and vulcanization failure by the following test methods, and the results are also shown in Table 1.

The mass of each test tire was measured. The evaluation results are shown as an index with Conventional Example 1 as 100. A smaller index value means a lighter weight.
Vulcanization failure:
100 test tires were manufactured, the inner surface of the portion corresponding to the shoulder portion of the vulcanized tire was observed, the presence or absence of an inner surface failure in the vulcanization process was examined, and the occurrence rate of the inner surface failure was determined. The evaluation results are shown as an index with the conventional example 1 as 100, using the reciprocal of the failure rate. A smaller index value means fewer vulcanization failures.
As shown in Table 1, the tires of Examples 1 to 3 were lightweight in comparison with Conventional Example 1, and the occurrence of inner surface failure in the vulcanization process was small. On the other hand, in the tires of Comparative Examples 1 and 2, the effect of suppressing inner surface failure in the vulcanization process was insufficient.
Next, a pneumatic tire having a tire size of 204 / 45R17, in which the mounting direction of the front and back of the tire when the vehicle is mounted is specified, a carcass layer is mounted between a pair of bead portions, and the outer periphery of the carcass layer in the tread portion A plurality of belt layers are arranged on the side, and the number of laminated carcass layers in the side region outside the vehicle from the vehicle outer end of the belt layer to the bead portion is two, and the carcass layer is laminated in the lower region of the belt layer. The number of layers of the carcass layer in the side region inside the vehicle from the vehicle inner end to the bead portion of the belt layer is one, and the inner liner layer is arranged on the tire inner surface along the carcass layer. Examples 11 to 13 in which the structure of the tie rubber layer interposed between the carcass layer and the inner liner layer in the entering tire was varied as shown in Table 2. Tire of Comparative Example 11 and 12 (see FIG. 2) were fabricated, respectively. For comparison, the same tire size, the number of carcass layers laminated in the side region from both ends of the belt layer to each bead portion is two layers, and the number of carcass layers laminated in the lower region of the belt layer is one layer. A tire of conventional example 11 (see FIG. 1) in which a tie rubber layer was disposed in the entire area between the carcass layer and the inner liner layer was manufactured.
As the carcass cord, a polyester cord (1100 dtex / 2) was used, and the driving density was set to 22/50 mm. While in Examples 11-13 and Comparative Examples 11-12, the position of the outer edge of the tie rubber layer in the tire radial direction (the distance from the edge of the belt layer with respect to the width W of the second widest belt layer) is varied. The inner edge of the tie rubber layer in the tire radial direction was disposed at the maximum tire width position.
About these test tires, the mass and the vulcanization failure were evaluated by the above-described test methods. However, the evaluation results are shown as an index with the conventional example 2 as 100. Furthermore, the test tires were evaluated for steering stability and riding comfort by the following test methods, and the results are also shown in Table 2.
Steering stability:
Each test tire was assembled on a wheel of rim size 17 × 6 1 / 2J and mounted on a test vehicle. Air pressure was set to 200 kPa, and a driving evaluation was performed by a test driver for handling stability including lane change performance and cornering performance. The evaluation results are indicated by an index based on Conventional Example 2 (5.0). The larger the index value, the better the steering stability.
Ride comfort:
Each test tire was assembled on a wheel with a rim size of 17 × 6 1 / 2J and mounted on a test vehicle, the air pressure was set to 200 kPa, and the feeling of ride quality was evaluated by a test driver. The evaluation results are indicated by an index based on Conventional Example 2 (5.0). A larger index value means better ride comfort.
As shown in Table 2, the tires of Examples 11 to 13 were lightweight in comparison with Conventional Example 11, and the occurrence of inner surface failure in the vulcanization process was small. Moreover, in Examples 11-13, riding comfort was able to be improved, maintaining steering stability favorable. On the other hand, in the tires of Comparative Examples 11 to 12, the effect of suppressing inner surface failure in the vulcanization process was insufficient.
