Claims (7)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に、排気ガスの空燃比が、リーン状態の場合に排気ガスを浄化し、かつ、リッチ状態の場合に浄化能力を回復する排気ガス浄化装置を備えると共に、排気ガスの空燃比をリッチ状態にするためのリッチ制御で排気ガス中に未燃燃料を供給する燃料系リッチ制御とEGRを含む吸気系リッチ制御を行う排気ガス浄化方法において、前記リッチ制御時に、EGR通路を通過する排気ガス中の未燃燃料をEGRクーラの上流側に設けた未燃燃料吸着装置で吸着することを特徴とする排気ガス浄化方法。
- 前記未燃燃料吸着装置の許容吸着量を算出すると共に、前記未燃燃料吸着装置に吸着される未燃燃料の累積吸着量を算出し、該累積吸着量が前記許容吸着量を越えたか否かを判定し、越えた時にはリッチ制御を中断又は停止することを特徴とする請求項1記載の排気ガス浄化方法。
- リッチ制御の中断後のリーン状態における未燃燃料の放出量を算出し、該放出量を前記累積吸着量から逐次引き算して、該引き算された累積吸着量が所定の判定用吸着量よりも小さくなった時に、前記リッチ制御を再開することを特徴とする請求項2記載の排気ガス浄化方法。
- 内燃機関の排気通路に、排気ガスの空燃比が、リーン状態の場合に排気ガスを浄化し、かつ、リッチ状態の場合に浄化能力を回復する排気ガス浄化装置を備えると共に、排気ガスの空燃比をリッチ状態にするためのリッチ制御で排気ガス中に未燃燃料を供給する燃料系リッチ制御とEGRを含む吸気系リッチ制御を行う制御装置を備えた排気ガス浄化システムにおいて、EGR通路のEGRクーラの上流側に未燃燃料を吸着する未燃燃料吸着装置を設けたことを特徴とする排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記制御装置が、前記未燃燃料吸着装置の許容吸着量を算出すると共に、前記未燃燃料吸着装置に吸着される未燃燃料の累積吸着量を算出し、該累積吸着量が前記許容吸着量を越えたか否かを判定し、越えた時にはリッチ制御を中断又は停止することを特徴とする請求項4記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記制御装置が、リッチ制御の中断後のリーン状態における未燃燃料の放出量を算出し、該放出量を前記累積吸着量から逐次引き算して、該引き算された累積吸着量が所定の判定用吸着量よりも小さくなった時に、前記リッチ制御を再開することを特徴とする請求項5記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
- 前記排気ガス浄化装置が、NOx吸蔵還元型触媒、NOx直接還元型触媒、ディゼールパティキュレートフィルタの少なくとも一つを備えたことを特徴とする請求項4〜6のいずれか1項に記載の排気ガス浄化システム。
