Description

The present invention relates to a threading device for a sewing machine, and in particular, when the operation lever is lowered, the threading part for holding the threading claw is lowered, and the threading claw is brought to a height position facing the needle hole. The present invention relates to a threading device for a sewing machine that is stopped and allows a series of threading operations.

In sewing work with the sewing machine, the work of passing the needle thread through the needle hole of the sewing needle is because the needle hole size is usually a very small elongated hole shape of about 0.4 mm wide x 1 mm long. It is a cumbersome task that requires fine attention, and is particularly troublesome for a worker with low vision or a beginner who is not used to threading.

For this reason, in recent years, in order to facilitate the operation of passing the upper thread through the needle hole of the sewing needle, a number of sewing machines equipped with a threading device have been increasing, especially home sewing machines.

In this threading device, generally, a threading shaft having a threading part for holding an operation lever and a threading claw at the lower end is lowered by operating the operation lever. First, the threading part is moved to the needle bar. The needle is lowered to the needle hole of the sewing needle fixed to the needle.

Next, with the operation lever, the threading part is rotated around the outer circumference of the needle bar movement locus to face the needle hole, and the threading claw with the upper thread is inserted into the needle hole of the sewing needle. As a result, the upper thread is pulled into the needle hole.

The threading claw is used as a threading device for lowering the threading shaft by this operation lever and adjusting the height position of the threading claw to the height position of the needle hole of the sewing needle fixed to the needle bar. There has been proposed one in which a threading shaft attached via a portion is interlocked with the vertical movement of a needle bar. (Patent Document 1)
The threading device according to the above publication holds a sewing needle having a needle hole at the lower end, and is connected to a needle bar that can move up and down, and in the middle of the needle bar in the height direction, and reciprocates up and down from the needle bar drive mechanism. The needle bar hug that transmits, the stopper attached to the needle bar hug below the needle bar hug, and supported by the machine frame so that it can move up and down and turn almost parallel to the needle bar, and to the stopper halfway in the height direction A threading shaft through which the abutable pin is inserted, a return spring that urges the pin upward on the outer peripheral side of the threading shaft between the pin and the machine frame, and a lower end of the threading shaft. An operation lever for lowering and rotating the threading shaft and a threading part for holding a threading claw that can be engaged with the needle hole.

When the operation lever is lowered while the needle bar is stopped near the top dead center, the pin of the threading shaft comes into contact with the stopper of the needle bar, and the lowering of the threading shaft is stopped. Thus, the height position of the needle hole of the sewing needle matches the height position of the threading claw.

At this stop position, the threading part is further rotated by the operation lever, the threading claw is engaged with the needle hole of the sewing needle to guide the upper thread, and the upper thread is pulled into the needle hole. Yes.

Further, the threading device according to the above publication includes a cam plate formed with a cam groove portion that engages with a pin of the threading shaft, and a return spring that biases the threading shaft upward via the pin. When the needle bar is lowered while the claw and the needle hole are engaged, the threading shaft that is lowered by the needle bar via the threading claw rotates around the shaft part with the threading part by the cam groove. As a result, the threading claw comes out of the needle hole, and the threading device returns to the original raised position.

According to this conventional technique, with the needle bar stopped near the top dead center, the operation lever is lowered, and the pin inserted through the threading shaft is brought into contact with the stopper attached to the needle bar. It can be automatically adjusted to the height position of the needle hole of the sewing needle and the height position of the threading claw.

Therefore, manually adjust the needle bar to the height of the needle hole and the height of the needle hole, and make sure that the height of the threading claw is the same height. Therefore, there is an advantage that the threading work becomes easier.

Also, if the sewing machine drive unit is accidentally operated during threading, the threading operation will be interrupted, but the threading device will return and return to a safe position. The threading device has the advantage that it is not damaged by the needle bar that reciprocates up and down.
JP-A-7-284588

However, according to the technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-284588, the threading is performed by operating the operating lever with the needle bar stopped near the top dead center every time the threading is performed. It has a configuration.

For this reason, as a preparation stage for performing the threading operation, it is necessary to move the needle bar in advance and stop it near the top dead center.

Therefore, it is troublesome for the operator to stop the needle bar near the top dead center every time the thread is passed, and it is troublesome and troublesome. there were.

In addition, a part for keeping the needle bar near the top dead center is necessary, which leads to a cost increase.

Further, in the middle of the needle bar in the height direction, there is a stopper that comes into contact with the pin inserted on the threading shaft side and matches the height position of the needle hole and the height position of the threading claw, Although it is attached by screwing, etc., there is a problem that the inertia weight of the needle bar becomes heavier due to the increase in the number of parts such as stoppers, which adversely affects inertia on the needle bar moving up and down at high speed. there were.

In addition, the height from the needle hole to the stopper where the pin abuts must be the same as the height from the threading claw to the pin. For this purpose, the stopper attached to the needle bar must be threaded. It is necessary to attach to the exact height position in the middle of the needle bar according to the height from the threading claw to the pin.

For this reason, high processing accuracy is required for each component such as stoppers and pins, and when assembling the stopper, high assembly accuracy is required, including measurement work, as well as increased processing costs and assembly man-hours. There was a problem of increasing.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems. Regardless of the stop position of the needle bar, the threading claw is stopped at the height position facing the needle hole of the sewing needle and is faced. An object of the present invention is to provide a threading device for a sewing machine that can perform the threading operation.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a threading device for a sewing machine that is advantageous in terms of cost by reducing the function of moving and stopping the needle bar in the vicinity of the top dead center in advance.

In addition, the contact mechanism between the stopper attached to the needle bar and the pin inserted through the threading shaft simplifies the mechanism for aligning the height direction of the pot and threading shaft, thereby reducing the processing stroke and assembly man-hours. An object of the present invention is to provide a threading device for a sewing machine.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a threading device for a sewing machine that reduces the inertia weight of a needle bar that moves up and down at high speed and has less adverse effects on inertia.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the technical means taken in claim 1 is:
A needle bar that holds a sewing needle having a needle hole at the lower end and can move up and down, and a needle bar that is arranged in parallel to the needle bar and that can engage with the operation lever and the needle hole can move up and down and rotate. In a threading device for a sewing machine having a threading part that is capable of threading an upper thread by causing a threading claw to approach and engage a needle hole with an operation lever,
A stopper which is above the needle bar and has a contact surface to the upper end of the needle bar and extends above the threading part and is formed in a plate shape, the stopper is at the upper end, and the threading part is The height from the threading claw that is fixed to the lower end and is held by the threading portion to the contact surface is formed to be the same as the height from the center of the needle hole to the upper end of the needle bar. A threading shaft, a threading shaft arm that is disposed midway in the height direction of the threading shaft, and supports the threading shaft so as to be vertically movable and rotatable substantially parallel to the needle bar, and the thread A return spring disposed on an outer peripheral side of the threading shaft between the threading shaft arm and the stopper, and elastically biasing the stopper upward from the threading shaft arm side, The lever is moved down against the return spring to bring the contact surface into contact with the upper end of the needle bar. Ri, stop the threading pawl in height position facing said needle hole, is that which is adapted to the threading.

As described above, the threading device for a sewing machine according to the present invention includes a needle bar that has a sewing needle at its lower end and is supported by the needle bar arm so as to be movable up and down, and moves up and down substantially parallel to the needle bar. A threading shaft that is rotatably supported by the threading shaft arm, and an abutment surface that is fixed to the upper end of the threading shaft and extends upward so that the needle bar moves up and down and can freely contact the upper end of the needle bar A stopper provided with a threading shaft fixed to the lower end of the threading shaft and holding the operating lever and threading claw, and a stopper disposed on the outer peripheral side of the threading shaft between the threading shaft arm and the stopper. And a return spring that urges the threading shaft arm side upward.

Furthermore, the height from the threading claw on the threading shaft side to the contact surface provided on the stopper is formed to be the same as the height from the needle hole to the upper end on the needle bar side.

According to such a configuration, when the threading shaft is lowered by the operation lever against the return spring, the contact surface provided to the stopper contacts the upper end of the needle bar, and the threading shaft The descent stops.

When the threading shaft is stopped, the height from the threading claw to the contact surface is the same as the height from the needle hole to the upper end of the needle bar. Regardless of the stop position, the threading shaft can always be stopped in a state where the height position of the threading claw coincides with the height position of the needle hole.

With this threading claw and the needle hole at the same height position, the threading part is further rotated by the operating lever, and the threading thread with the upper thread is threaded by the threading rotation mechanism as in the prior art. By rotating the claw and inserting it into the needle hole of the sewing needle, the upper thread is drawn into the needle hole and the series of threading operations is completed.

That is, unlike the prior art, it is not necessary to stop the needle bar near the top dead center before the threading operation. The threading shaft can be stopped with the threading claw height position coincident with the needle hole height position. At that stop position, the threading claw is brought close to and engaged with the needle hole, It is a feature of the present invention that it can be done.

According to this, since the troublesome work of stopping the height position of the needle bar near the top dead center of the needle bar, which is necessary in the prior art, can be omitted every time the threading work is performed. Has the effect of simplifying.

In addition, unlike the prior art, it is not necessary to stop the needle bar near the top dead center before threading, so the needle bar is stopped near the top dead center on the main body side of the sewing machine. No additional functions are required.

Therefore, the parts for this purpose can be reduced, and the structure of the main body of the sewing machine can be simplified correspondingly, leading to cost reduction.

In addition, the needle bar that reciprocates up and down at high speed does not need to be equipped with a stopper for adjusting the height position of the needle bar and the threading shaft in the middle of the needle bar height, as in the prior art. A stopper fixed to the upper end of the threading shaft comes into contact with the upper end of the needle bar.

As a result, the inertial weight of the needle bar that reciprocates up and down at high speed is reduced by the amount of the stopper and screwing parts, and the adverse influence on the inertia to the needle bar drive mechanism to which the needle bar is connected is reduced. There is an effect that vibration and noise can be reduced.

In addition, the stopper is attached to the upper end of the threading shaft, but is simply attached to the upper end of the threading shaft that has been machined to a predetermined dimension in the height direction and directly contacts the upper end of the needle bar. It has become.

Therefore, as in the prior art, a stopper inserted in the middle of the height on the needle bar side is brought into contact with a pin inserted in the middle of the height direction on the threading shaft side, and the height from the threading claw to the pin, The high processing accuracy for each part such as stoppers and pins and high assembly accuracy, including measurement work, required to accurately adjust the height from the needle hole to the stopper are eased. Since the number of pins is reduced and the structure is simple, there is an effect that the processing cost and the number of assembling steps can be reduced.

Embodiments according to the present invention will be described below more specifically with reference to the drawings.

And a sewing needle 7 which has a needle hole 9 and is fixed to the lower end of the needle bar 1 via a needle stopper 6.

In the needle bar mechanism A, the needle bar 1 is reciprocated up and down by the needle bar drive mechanism 4, and the sewing needle 7 fixed to the needle bar is reciprocated up and down at high speed.

In the needle bar mechanism A, the needle bar 1 is stopped at an appropriate height position within a range in which the needle hole 9 of the sewing needle 1 is above a sewing cloth (not shown) and moves up and down.

The needle bar 1 is formed in a vertically long shape having an upper end and a lower end in the height direction, and a needle stopper 6 is fixed to the lower end.

The needle bar 1 is guided by two needle bar arms 3 attached to the sewing machine frame 2 so as to be capable of reciprocating up and down.

The needle stopper 6 fixes the sewing needle 7 to the lower end of the needle bar 1 so as to be detachable. The needle bar arm 3 is attached to the sewing machine frame 2 on both sides of the needle bar holder 5 and is the same as in the prior art. In addition, a through-hole into which the needle bar 1 is fitted is provided, and the needle bar 1 is supported so as to be capable of reciprocating vertically through a bearing or the like (not shown).

In FIG. 1, the needle bar arm 3 is attached to the sewing machine frame 2 at two locations, but is not limited to two locations, and may be one location or three or more locations.

The needle bar holder 5 includes a through hole in which the needle bar 1 is fitted, and is fixed to the through hole in the middle of the needle bar 1 in the height direction by screwing or the like (not shown). .

The needle bar holder 5 is disposed between the two needle bar arms 3 that support the needle bar 1 and is connected to the needle bar drive mechanism 4 via the link 8 so as to reciprocate up and down the needle bar 1. Communicate exercise.

The needle bar drive mechanism 4 is driven by a motor (not shown) as in the prior art and converts the rotary motion into the vertical reciprocating motion by the link 8 and transmits the vertical reciprocating motion to the needle bar 1. Similar to the prior art, a fixed sewing needle having a needle hole 9 is detachably fixed to a needle stop 6 provided at the lower end of the needle bar 1, so that it extends from the needle hole of the sewing needle 7 to the upper end of the needle bar 1. The height is a predetermined height dimension.

Next, the threading mechanism B is attached to the upper end of the threading shaft 10, the threading shaft arm 11 that supports the threading shaft 10 on the sewing machine frame 2, and the upper end of the threading shaft 10. A plate-like stopper 12 having a contact surface 13 that contacts the needle bar 1, a threading portion 16 that holds the operation lever 14 and the threading claw 15 and is attached to the lower end of the threading shaft 10, and a thread The return spring 17 is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the threading shaft between the threading shaft arm 11 and the stopper 12.

In the threading mechanism B, when the operation lever 14 is lowered, the contact surface 13 of the stopper 12 contacts the upper end of the needle bar 1 as shown in FIG. While stopping at the height position facing the needle hole 9, the threading portion 16 is further rotated by the threading rotation portion (not shown) by the operation lever so as to face and engage the needle hole 9. Thread through.

In the threading mechanism B, the threading part 16 rotates the threading part 16 to thread the upper thread into the needle hole 9. The threading rotation part has the same configuration and operation as the conventional technique. Below, description of this threading rotation part is abbreviate | omitted.

The threading shaft 10 is formed in a vertically long shape having an upper end and a lower end in the height direction. The upper end is fixed with a screw (not shown) or the like, and the stopper 12 is attached to the lower end with a screw (not shown). The threading portion 16 that holds the threading claw 15 is fixed.

The threading shaft 10 is arranged in parallel with the needle bar 1 by two threading shaft arms 11 to which the sewing machine frame is attached, and is guided to the sewing machine frame so as to be vertically movable and rotatable. The

The height dimension of the threading shaft 10 in the vertical movement direction is such that the height from the threading claw 15 held by the threading portion 16 attached to the lower end to the contact surface 13 of the stopper 12 attached to the upper end is as follows. The sewing needle 7 is formed to have the same height as the height from the needle hole 0 of the sewing needle 7 to the upper end of the needle bar 1.

The threading shaft arm 11 includes a through-hole into which the threading shaft 10 is fitted, and the threading shaft 10 to be fitted into the through-hole can be vertically moved and rotated via a bearing (not shown). In addition, it is supported on the sewing machine frame 2.

The stopper 12 is formed in the shape of a plate having a contact surface 13 that extends above the needle bar 1 arranged in parallel with the threading shaft 10 and contacts the upper end of the needle bar 1. The

In this stopper 12, when the operation lever 14 is operated with a finger for threading operation, the contact surface 13 first comes into contact with the upper end of the needle bar 1 as shown in FIG. The descent of the threading shaft 10 stops. At the stop position of the threading shaft 10, the height from the threading claw 15 on the threading shaft 10 side to the contact surface 13 is the needle hole on the needle bar 1 side. Since the height from 9 to the upper end of the needle bar 1 is formed, the height position of the threading claw 15 and the height position of the needle hole 9 are the same height.

The threading portion 16 is attached to the lower end of the threading shaft 10 so as to be located outside the movement locus of the needle bar 1 and can be engaged with the operation lever 14 and the needle hole 9 in the same manner as in the prior art. In a state where the threading claw 15 is held, it can be moved up and down and rotated together with the threading shaft 10.

In this threading portion 16, the contact surface 13 is in contact with the upper end of the needle bar 1 and the height of the threading claw 15 and the height of the needle hole 9 are the same height, and the operation lever 14 is operated, the threading portion 16 is rotated by a threading rotation portion (not shown), and the threading claw 15 is brought into engagement with the needle hole 9 of the sewing needle 7 in the same manner as in the prior art. Threading is performed.

The return spring 17 is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the threading shaft 10 between the threading shaft arm 11 facing the stopper 12 and the stopper 12, and the threading shaft 10 does not reach the rising end thereof. In this state, the threading shaft 10 is elastically biased upward from the threading shaft arm 11 side, that is, in the direction of the arrow Y1 via the stopper 12.

For this reason, in the initial state before the threading operation where the operation lever 14 is not operated, the threading shaft 10 is lifted upward, that is, in the direction of the arrow Y1 by the return spring 17, as shown in FIG. Thus, together with the threading part 16, it reaches the rising end of the threading shaft 10.
Further, when the operation lever 14 is lowered and the threading operation is in progress, the threading shaft 10 is compressed downward, that is, in the direction of the arrow Y2, as shown in FIG. It descends and reaches the descending end of the threading shaft 10 together with the threading portion 16.

At the position where the threading shaft 10 reaches the descending end and stops, the contact surface 13 contacts the upper end of the needle bar 1 and, as described above, from the threading claw 15 on the threading shaft 10 side. Since the height to the contact surface 13 is the same as the height from the needle hole 9 of the sewing needle 7 on the needle bar 1 side to the upper end of the needle bar 1, the height position of the threading claw 15 is formed. Then, the height position of the needle hole 9 becomes the same height position, and the threading claw 15 faces and engages with the needle hole 9 of the sewing needle 7.

Next, an operation procedure of threading by the threading device configured as described above will be described.

In a state where the needle bar 1 is stopped at an appropriate position above the sewing cloth (not shown), the needle hole 9 is stopped on the threading mechanism B side as shown in FIG. When 10 reaches the rising end by the return spring 17, the finger is applied to the operation lever 14 to push the threading shaft 10 downward, that is, in the direction of the arrow Y2.

Then, the threading shaft 10 moves down in the arrow Y2 direction together with the threading portion 16 and the stopper 12 against the spring force of the return spring 17.

In this case, since the threading shaft 10 is supported by the threading shaft arm 11 so as to be movable up and down substantially parallel to the needle bar 1, the threading shaft 10 descends substantially parallel to the needle bar 1.

When the threading shaft 10 is lowered to some extent, as shown in FIG. 1A, the contact surface 13 formed on the stopper 12 fixed to the upper end of the threading shaft 10 moves upward on the upper end of the needle bar 1. The threading shaft 10 stops, and further lowering of the threading shaft 10 is prevented, and the threading shaft 10 stops.

At this stop position, the needle bar 1 is formed on the stopper 12 from the threading claw 16 on the threading mechanism B side at any height position within the range in which the needle bar 1 moves up and down. Since the height to the contact surface 13 is the same as the height from the needle hole 9 to the upper end of the needle bar 1 on the needle bar mechanism A side, the height position of the threading claw 16 is In accordance with the height position of the needle hole 9, the threading claw 16 faces the needle hole 9 and becomes engageable with the needle hole 9.

When the operating lever 14 is further pushed in the arrow Y2 direction with the fingertip at this stop position, the contact surface 13 of the stopper 12 is in contact with the upper end of the needle bar 1, so that the threading shaft 10 is Without descending, the threading rotation part (not shown) is operated to rotate the threading part 16 in the same configuration as that of the prior art.

As is well known, the rotation of the threading portion 16 causes the threading portion 16 to approach and face the needle bar 1, and after the threading claw 15 is inserted into the needle hole 9, the threading claw When the upper thread is applied to 15 and the operation lever 14 is returned, the threading claw 15 passes through the needle hole 9 with the upper thread hooked, and threading is performed.

On the other hand, when the needle bar 1 is stopped while the needle hole 9 is below the sewing cloth, if the operating lever 14 is operated to lower the threading shaft 10 to some extent, the threading thread as described above. Since the height from the claw 15 to the contact surface 13 is the same as the height from the needle hole 9 to the upper end of the needle bar 1, the threading claw 15 is located at a position facing the needle hole 9. Before the lowering, the threading portion 16 that holds the threading claw 15 comes into contact with the sewing cloth, and the further lowering of the threading shaft 10 is prevented.

In this stop position, of course, the height of the threading claw 15 is higher than the height of the needle hole 9 and the threading operation cannot be performed. What is necessary is just to raise to a suitable height position so that it may become above a sewing cloth.

The operation itself of raising the needle bar so that the height position of the needle hole 9 is above the sewing cloth is an easy operation and does not cause any particular problem. Of course, the needle hole must always be above the sewing cloth.

Further, when the operation lever 14 is further pressed in a state where the threading portion 16 is in contact with the sewing cloth, the threading portion 16 is prevented from further descending and tries to rotate. By releasing the finger from the operation lever 14, the threading portion 16 is safely urged in the Y1 direction from the threading shaft arm 11 by the return spring 17 together with the threading shaft 10 without being subjected to excessive force or damage. And can be returned to the rising edge.

As described above, the threading shaft 10 to which the threading claw 15 is attached is interlocked with the vertical movement of the needle bar 1 to adjust the height position of the threading claw 15 to the height position of the needle hole 9. In the prior art, the needle bar is inserted halfway in the height direction of the threading shaft into the stopper attached in the middle of the needle bar in the height direction with reference to the height position of the top dead center of the needle bar. Since the pin is in contact with each other, it is necessary to stop the needle bar near the top dead center every time the threading operation is performed.

According to the present embodiment, the abutment surface 13 of the stopper 12 fixed to the upper end of the threading shaft 10 is brought into direct contact with the upper end of the needle bar 1, thereby increasing the height of the needle hole 9 and the threading claw 15. The position in the vertical direction is set to the same height position.

Therefore, under the condition that the needle hole 9 is above the sewing cloth, the needle bar 1 that moves up and down is always operated regardless of the height of the needle bar 1 that moves up and down. Since the position in the height direction of the needle hole 9 and the threading claw 15 can be adjusted to the same height position only by operating the lever 14, a series of threading operations are simplified and facilitated.
