Claims (3)
- 重合温度にある反応混合物に開始剤又は開始剤混合物を連続的にあるいは半連続的に配量する工程を含む、スチレンモノマーまたはスチレンを含有するモノマー混合物を重合する、本質的に塩化ビニルを含まない縣濁重合方法において、配量される少なくとも一の開始剤が、該重合温度において60分間以下の半減期を有することを特徴とし、開始剤が、パーオキシジカーボネート、パーオキシカーボネート、パーオキシエステル、パーオキシケタール、ジアシルパーオキシド、ジアルキルパーオキシド、ケトンパーオキシドおよびアゾ開始剤より成る群から選ばれ、開始剤は官能化されていてもよく、モノマーの0%が重合されている時点からモノマーの少なくとも70%が重合される時点までにおいて該配置が行われるところの、上記方法。
- モノマーの少なくとも1%、好ましくは少なくとも0.5%、より好ましくは少なくとも0.1%がすでに重合されている時点から、モノマーの少なくとも80%、より好ましくは少なくとも90%、最も好ましくはモノマーの実質的に総てが重合される時点までにおいて、該開始剤が連続的にあるいは半連続的に配量され、「モノマーの実質的に総てが重合される」という語は1000ppm未満のモノマーが出来上がった重合生成物に存在することを意味する、請求項1〜2のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 該開始剤が置換又は非置換の、ジベンゾイルパーオキシド、1,1‐ジ(tert−ブチルパーオキシ)−3,3,5−トリメチルシクロヘキサン、2,2−ジ(tert−ブチルパーオキシ)ブタン、1,1‐ジ(tert−ブチルパーオキシ)シクロヘキサン、アゾ開始剤、及びこれらの混合物、最も好ましくはジベンゾイルパーオキシド、1,1‐ジ(tert−ブチルパーオキシ)−3,3,5−トリメチルシクロヘキサン、2,2'−アゾビス(イソブチロニトリル)、2,2'−アゾビス(2−メチルブチロニトリル)、及びこれらの混合物、から選ばれる、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
