Abstract
【解決手段】(イ)熱可塑性エラストマー、(ロ)乳化剤ならびに(ハ)キサンタンガムおよびラムザンガムのうちの少なくとも1種を含む水性乳化分散液よりなるアスファルト改質剤であって、該乳化剤が、特定のスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、もしくは特定のベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物よりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の非イオン性乳化剤、およびロジン酸塩であるアスファルト改質剤を使用する。

Description
(1)スチレン−ブタジエンゴム(SBR)、クロロプレンゴム、天然ゴムなどのゴムの水性乳化分散体をアスファルトに添加し、水を蒸発させて改質アスファルトを得る方法。
(2)スチレン−ブタジエン−スチレンブロックコポリマー(SBS)、スチレン−イソプレン−スチレンブロックコポリマー(SIS)などの熱可塑性エラストマーをクラム、ペレット、粉末などの固形状態でアスファルトに添加し、改質アスファルトを得る方法。
(3)エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、エチレン−エチルアクリレート共重合体、ポリエチレンなどの熱可塑性樹脂を水性乳化分散体または固形状態でアスファルトに添加し、改質アスファルトを得る方法。
(4)前記(1)、(2)および(3)を組み合わせて用いる方法。
(5)特開平2−292368号公報に示されている、前記(2)の熱可塑性エラストマーを陰イオン性界面活性剤/非イオン性界面活性剤を100/0〜60/40の比率(重量比)で使用して水性乳化分散体とし、アスファルトに添加し、改質アスファルトを得る方法。
(6)特開平3−259954号公報に示されている、前記(2)の熱可塑性エラストマーのうち、とくにA−B−Aタイプのテーパーブロックコポリマーの固形状態もしくは界面活性剤で水性乳化分散体としたものをアスファルトに添加し、改質アスファルトを得る方法。
(7)特公昭52−15100号公報、同52−22651号公報に示されている、ブロックコポリマーを特定の2種の乳化剤で濃縮ラテックスにし、ラテックス添加アスファルトに利用する方法。
(イ)熱可塑性エラストマー、(ロ)乳化剤ならびに(ハ)キサンタンガムおよびラムザンガムのうちの少なくとも1種を含む水性乳化分散液よりなるアスファルト改質剤であって、該乳化剤が、モノスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、ジスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、およびトリスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物を含むスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、ならびに、モノベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、ジベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、およびトリ以上のベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物を含むベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物よりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の非イオン性乳化剤、およびロジン酸塩であるアスファルト改質剤(請求項1)、

前記増粘剤が、カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース、ベントナイトおよびアルミノシリケートよりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種である請求項3記載の改質剤(請求項4)
に関する。
A−B−A、(A−B)n、B−(A−B)nおよび(A−B)n−A
(式中、Aは25℃以上の2次転移温度を有する非弾性重合体ブロック、Bは10℃以下の2次転移温度を有する弾性重合体ブロック、nは2以上の整数)で表わされるブロック共重合体があげられる。
撹拌できる粘度まで充分融解された熱アスファルトに撹拌しながら直接アスファルト改質剤を添加し、水を蒸発させ、熱可塑性エラストマーがほぼ均一にアスファルトに溶解、分散するまで撹拌する。
骨材と熱アスファルトを混合したのち、混合物に撹拌しながらアスファルト改質剤を添加し、水を蒸発させ、熱可塑性エラストマーがほぼ均一にアスファルトに溶解、分散するまで撹拌する。再生アスファルト混合物に使用される場合は、本発明の改質剤の添加前にさらに再生材(舗装道路の補修のために掘り起こしたときに発生するアスファルト混合物の廃棄物である発生材を粉砕して、もう一度新アスファルト混合物と混ぜて使用できるようにしたもの)が混合される。
(a)アスファルトを陰イオン性、非イオン性、陽イオン性またはこれらを組み合わせた乳化剤を用いて水性乳化分散液としたアスファルト乳剤と、アスファルト改質剤とを混合して均一になるまで撹拌する(ただし、陰イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト乳剤と陽イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト改質剤を混合する場合、および陽イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト乳剤と陰イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト改質剤を混合する場合は、作業性が得られる範囲で混合する)。
前記(3)のアスファルト乳剤とアスファルト改質剤とを混合したのち、または別々に骨材に散布したのち混合し、ほぼ均一になるまで撹拌する。再生アスファルト混合物に使用される場合は、さらに再生材が混合される(ただし、陰イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト乳剤と陽イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト改質剤を混合する場合、および陽イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト乳剤と陰イオン性乳化剤を含むアスファルト改質剤を混合する場合は、作業性が得られる範囲で混合する)。
熱可塑性エラストマー水性分散体を水で2倍に希釈した液を100mlネスラー管に50ml入れ、30回手で倒立撹拌し、静置したのちの泡の量を経時的に測定する。
エマルジョン製造時のトルエン留去後に採取した熱可塑性エラストマー水性分散体を、(株)島津製作所製のSALD2000を用いた光回折法により評価。
日立卓上遠心機(CT5DL型)を使用し、試料と容器(27φ×90mm)風袋の合計重量が135gになるように試料(アスファルト改質剤)を採取した(試料:約45g)。
ストレートアスファルト(コスモ60〜80)を170℃に加熱し、4枚羽根撹拌翼を付けた撹拌機により、回転数400〜500rpmの条件下でアスファルト改質剤を混合した。
SBS:ジェイエスアール(株)製、TR2606C、分子量460000、スチレン含量30%

ラムザンガム:KELCO社製、ラムザンガム
CMC:第一工業製薬(株)製、セロゲン HE−1500F
ベントナイト:VEEGUM−T(R.T.VANDERBILT社製)
乳化剤
ベンジル化フェノールEOA:ベンジル基が平均2個付加したフェノールにエチレンオキシド20モルを付加したもの
スチレン化フェノールEOA:スチレン基が平均2個付加したフェノールにエチレンオキシド20モルを付加したもの
ロジン石鹸:荒川化学工業(株)製、ロンジスK−80
ノニルフェノールEOA硫酸Na:ノニルフェノールエチレンオキシド7モル付加物硫酸エステルナトリウム塩
LDMEAES:ラウリルジメチルエチルアンモニウムエチルサルフェート
ディスパーとミキサーおよびアンカーを備えた乳化機(特殊機化工業(株)製、TKコンビミックス型)へ、SBS100部(20kg)、トルエン400部(80kg)を投入し、60℃に昇温して樹脂を溶解させた。
表1記載の原料を表1記載の割合で使用し、実施例1と同様にして水性乳化分散液を製造し、評価した。結果を表1に示す。
実施例2で得られた固形分50%のSBS水性乳化分散液80部と固形分50%のSBRエマルジョン20部とを混合したものについてアスファルト物性を測定した。結果を表1に示す。
Claims (4)
- (イ)熱可塑性エラストマー、(ロ)乳化剤ならびに(ハ)キサンタンガムおよびラムザンガムのうちの少なくとも1種を含む水性乳化分散液よりなるアスファルト改質剤であって、該乳化剤が、モノスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、ジスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、およびトリ以上のスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物を含むスチレン化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、ならびに、モノベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、ジベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物、およびトリ以上のベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物を含むベンジル化フェノールポリアルキレンオキシド付加物よりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の非イオン性乳化剤、およびロジン酸塩であるアスファルト改質剤。
- 乳化剤として、さらに陽イオン性乳化剤を含む請求項1記載の改質剤。
- キサンタンガムおよびラムザンガム以外の増粘剤をさらに含有する請求項1または2記載の改質剤。
- 前記増粘剤が、カルボキシメチルセルロースナトリウム、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース、ベントナイトおよびアルミノシリケートよりなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種である請求項3記載の改質剤。
