Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明の貴金属を担持させたフィルタ構造体を有するディーゼルエンジンの排気ガス浄化用のフィルタ触媒は、排気ガスが流入する側の上流部位と、排気ガスが流出する側の下流部位と、上流部位と下流部位との間に位置する中流部位とから構成されるフィルタ構造体が、排気ガスが流入する側の上流部位に貴金属を高濃度に担持させ、且つ下流部位で低濃度に担持させる。本発明の製造方法は、特に、フィルタ構造体の上流部位の端面から下流部位まで貴金属溶液中に浸漬する工程、及び上流部位のみを貴金属溶液中に浸漬する工程を有する。

Description
実施例1のフィルタ触媒に用いたフィルタ構造体の素材は、1平方センチあたり300個のセルを有しかつ300μmの厚みを有するコーディエライトである。フィルタ構造体は、直径129mm、長さ150mm及び容積2000cm3で交互に目封じた端面を有するコーディエライト素材から形成する。このフィルタ構造体はアルミナ、セリア、ジルコニア、酸化バリウムでウオッシュコート処理が施された。
実施例2のフィルタ触媒に用いるフィルタ構造体の素材は、実施例1と同様のコーディエライト素材であり、このフィルタ構造体はチタニアを用いてウオッシュコート処理を施したのを除き、この処理は実施例1と同様の工程で行った。さらに、得られたチタニアを被覆したフィルタ構造体にPtを担持させるために、実施例1と同様の工程でPtを担持する処理を行った。得られたPtを担持したチタニア被覆のPt相対濃度を基にした標準偏差値は、表2に示すように1.0以上の1.323であった。
実施例1と同様にこのフィルタ構造体はアルミナ、セリア、ジルコニア及び酸化バリウムでウオッシュコート処理を施した。
比較例2のフィルタ触媒に用いるフィルタ構造体の素材は、比較例1と同様のコーディエライト素材であり、このフィルタ構造体はチタニアを用いてウオッシュコート処理を施したのを除き、この処理は比較例1と同様の工程で行った。さらに、得られたチタニアを被覆したフィルタ構造体にPtを担持させるために、比較例1と同様の工程でPtを担持する処理を行った。得られたPtを担持したチタニア被覆フィルタ構造体は、排気ガスが流入する側のフィルタ構造体の上流部位におけるPt相対濃度を基にした標準偏差値は、0.10以下の0.030であった。

Claims (5)
- 貴金属を担持させたフィルタ構造体を有するディーゼルエンジンの排気ガス浄化用のフィルタ触媒であって、
排気ガスが流入する側の上流部位と、排気ガスが流出する側の下流部位と、前記上流部位と前記下流部位との間に位置する中流部位とから構成される前記フィルタ構造体が、排気ガスが流入する側の前記上流部位に貴金属を高濃度に担持させ、且つ下流部位で低濃度に担持させたことを特徴とするディーゼルエンジンの排気ガス浄化用のフィルタ触媒。 - 上流部位で高濃度に且つ下流部位で低濃度に担持させた前記貴金属の合計担持量を各部位に平均したときの平均担持量を1として、各部位の貴金属の担持量を相対濃度で表わして各部位の相対濃度の値を標準偏差で表した場合、
前記上流部位と前記中流部位と前記下流部位とから構成される前記フィルタ構造体は、貴金属の含有量の標準偏差が0.10以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフィルタ触媒。 - 前記上流部位と前記下流部位と前記中流部位とから構成される前記フィルタ構造体において、前記フィルタ構造体の全長を100として、前記上流部位の長さが前記フィルタ構造体の全長の50以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のフィルタ触媒。
- 前記上流部位と前記下流部位と前記中流部位とから構成される前記フィルタ構造体において、前記フィルタ構造体の全長における貴金属の担持量を100として、前記上流部位の貴金属の担持量が150以上とすることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のフィルタ触媒。
- 貴金属を担持させたフィルタ構造体を有するディーゼルエンジンの排気ガス浄化用のフィルタ触媒の製造方法であって、
前記フィルタ構造体を準備する工程、
酸化物粉末を含むスラリーを前記フィルタ構造体に被覆した後、乾燥・焼成する工程、
被覆処理した前記フィルタ構造体の上流部位の端面から下流部位まで貴金属溶液中に浸漬して貴金属を担持させて、その後前記フィルタ構造体を取り出して乾燥する工程、且つ
貴金属を被覆した前記フィルタ構造体の上流部位の端面から上流部位のみを貴金属溶液中に浸漬して貴金属を担持させて、その後前記フィルタ構造体を取り出して乾燥する工程、
を含むことを特徴とするディーゼルエンジンの排気ガス浄化用のフィルタ触媒の製造方法。
