Abstract
軽量・コンパクト化を図ると共に、等速自在継手を組み付ける前に、ハブ輪に圧入される内輪の移動の抑制を図った車輪用軸受装置を提供する。
【解決手段】
小径段部2bのインボード側の端部外周に環状の凸部12が形成されると共に、内輪3のインボード側の端部内周に、凸部12に対応し、これよりも僅かに大きな段差を有する環状の凹部13が形成され、この凹部13を凸部12に係合させて内輪3のアウトボード側の端面をハブ輪2の肩部2dに当接させ、内輪3のインボード側の端面が小径段部2bの端面よりも突出した状態で、内輪3が小径段部2bに圧入固定されているので、運搬中や自動車メーカでの組立ラインで等速自在継手を組み付ける前に内輪3が移動してもハブ輪2の凸部12で止めることができ、インボード側のシール9が摺動面から脱落や内側転走面3aと転動体6との間に落ち込むのを防止できる。

図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の一実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2は図1の要部拡大図、図3(a)は、本発明に係るハブ輪を示す要部拡大図、図3(b)は、本発明に係る内輪を示す要部拡大図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウトボード側(図面左側)、中央寄り側をインボード側(図面右側)という。

Claims (5)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周にこの車輪取付フランジから軸方向に延びる円筒状の小径段部が形成されると共に、内周にセレーションが形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に圧入された内輪とからなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材の両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列の転動体と、
等速自在継手を構成し、前記内輪の端面に衝合する肩部と、この肩部から軸方向に延び、前記ハブ輪にセレーションを介して内嵌されるステム部とを一体に有する外側継手部材とを備え、前記ハブ輪と外側継手部材とが着脱可能に結合された車輪用軸受装置において、
前記ハブ輪における小径段部のインボード側の端部外周に環状の凸部が形成されると共に、前記内輪のインボード側の端部内周に、前記凸部に対応し、当該凸部よりも僅かに大きな段差を有する環状の凹部が形成され、この凹部を前記凸部に係合させて前記内輪のアウトボード側の端面を前記ハブ輪の肩部に当接させ、前記内輪のインボード側の端面が前記小径段部の端面よりもインボード側に突出した状態で、当該内輪が前記小径段部に圧入固定されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記ハブ輪が炭素0.40〜0.80重量%を含む中炭素鋼からなり、外周に前記複列の内側転走面の一方が直接形成され、この内側転走面から前記小径段部に亙り高周波焼入れによって表面硬さを58〜64HRCの範囲に硬化処理されると共に、前記内輪が、高炭素クロム軸受鋼からなり、ズブ焼入れによって芯部まで58〜64HRCの範囲で硬化処理され、前記凸部と凹部が切削加工によって形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記内輪が前記小径段部に10〜50μmのシメシロを介して圧入されると共に、前記凸部が、前記小径段部の外径に対し直径で60〜120μmの段差に形成されている請求項1または2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記ハブ輪の内周に前記外側継手部材のステム部が所定の径方向すきまを介して嵌合されている請求項1乃至3いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記内輪のアウトボード側の端面を前記ハブ輪の肩部に当接させた状態で、前記凹部と凸部との軸方向すきまが、前記小径段部の端面に対する前記内輪のインボード側の端面の突出量よりも小さくなるように設定されている請求項1乃至4いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
