Abstract
【解決手段】 遊星歯車機構にエンジンと第1モータと駆動軸とを接続し、駆動軸に変速機を介して第2モータを取り付けた自動車において、変速機がLoギヤの状態のときには要求パワーPe*に基づいてエンジンを間欠運転し(S170,S230)、変速機がHiギヤの状態のときにはエンジンを継続して運転する(S330)。これにより、変速機がHiギヤの状態のときに駆動軸に比較的大きな駆動力が要求されたときには、エンジンを運転停止しているものに比して要求された駆動力をより迅速に出力することができる。

- 駆動軸に動力を出力する動力出力装置であって、
前記駆動軸に動力を出力可能な内燃機関と、
動力の入出力が可能な電動機と、
前記電動機の回転軸の動力を前記駆動軸に変速比の変更を伴って伝達する変速伝達手段と、
前記電動機と電力のやりとりが可能な蓄電手段と、
前記駆動軸に出力すべき要求駆動力を設定する要求駆動力設定手段と、
前記内燃機関の間欠運転を伴って前記要求駆動力に基づく駆動力が前記駆動軸に出力されるよう前記内燃機関と前記電動機と前記変速伝達手段とを制御する駆動力制御手段と、
前記変速伝達手段の変速比が前記電動機の回転数を減速して前記駆動軸に動力を伝達する減速比とした際の最大の減速比より小さい所定減速比以下であるとき、前記駆動力制御手段による前記内燃機関の運転停止を禁止する運転停止禁止手段と、

- 前記駆動力制御手段は、前記内燃機関を運転停止している状態で前記変速伝達手段の変速比を前記所定減速比より大きい減速比から該所定減速比以下の減速比に変更するときには、該変速伝達手段の変速比の変更前に前記内燃機関を始動する手段である請求項1または2記載の動力出力装置。
- 前記駆動力制御手段は、前記運転停止禁止手段により前記内燃機関の運転停止が禁止されたとき、前記内燃機関が負荷運転されるよう制御する手段である手段である請求項1ないし3いずれか記載の動力出力装置。

- 前記制御手段は、前記内燃機関を運転している状態で前記変速伝達手段の変速比を前記所定減速比より大きい減速比から該所定減速比以下の減速比に変更するときには、前記内燃機関が負荷運転されるよう制御する手段である請求項8記載の動力出力装置。
- 前記制御手段は、前記内燃機関を運転停止している状態で前記変速伝達手段の変速比を前記所定減速比より大きい減速比から該所定減速比以下の減速比に変更するときには、該内燃機関を始動した後に該変速伝達手段の変速比が変更されるよう制御する手段である請求項6ないし9いずれか記載の動力出力装置。

動力出力装置の制御方法。 - 駆動軸に動力を出力可能な内燃機関と、動力の入出力が可能な電動機と、前記電動機の回転軸の動力を前記駆動軸に変速比の変更を伴って伝達する変速伝達手段と、前記電動機と電力のやりとりが可能な蓄電手段と、を備える動力出力装置の制御方法であって、
(a)前記駆動軸に出力すべき要求駆動力を設定し、
(b)前記変速伝達手段の変速比が前記電動機の回転数を減速して前記駆動軸に動力を伝達する減速比とした際における最大の減速比より小さい所定減速比より大きいときには前記内燃機関の間欠運転を伴って前記要求駆動力に基づく駆動力が前記駆動軸に出力されるよう前記内燃機関と前記電動機と前記変速伝達手段とを制御し、前記変速伝達手段の変速比が前記所定減速比以下のときには前記内燃機関の運転の継続を伴って前記要求駆動力に基づく駆動力が前記駆動軸に出力されるよう前記内燃機関と前記電動機と前記変速伝達手段とを制御する
