Abstract
【解決手段】カバー16がクッション体12を覆って配置される。このカバー16は、クッション体12の外周周辺に伸び、クッション体12の外周部分に平行に配置された縁36を備えている。インサート18は、クッション体12の外周部分に適合するように、クッション体12の中に配置され、クッション体12の外周に沿って伸び、かつクッション体12の外周から離れて配置された外壁30を備えている。この外周部分は、クッション体12の主要部分よりも発泡材の密度が高く、カバー16の縁36はこの外周部分に直接接着される。

Description
本発明は、クッション体が発泡成形される際に、カバーの縁をクッション体に直接接着できるクッション体とカバーを備えたシートに係るものである。クッション体とカバーに加え、当該シートには、クッション体を発泡させ、成形する時にクッション体の中にインサートが更に設置される。このインサートには、クッション体の外周を取り囲むようにして伸びる外壁が設けられている。そして、カバーとインサートの間にクッション体の比較的小さくて薄い外周部分を画成するようにこのインサートは配置される。この外周部分は、クッション体のその他の主要な部分よりも高い密度を有し、その結果、カバーの縁を保持するために望ましい物理的な特性を持つようになる。
本発明の1つの好適な実施例では、発泡させた車両用シートのクッションには指定番号10が付されており、これには、発泡したクッション体12、発泡したクッション体の外周部分14、カバー16、インサート18、およびクッション支持壁あるいは皿状部材20が含まれる。

Claims (2)
- 第1の発泡密度を有する発泡状クッション体と前記第1の発泡密度よりも高い第2の発泡密度を有する外周部分と、
クッション体を覆って配置され、クッション体の外周周辺に伸びる縁を有するカバーと、
クッション体の外周部分に適合させるためにクッション体内に収納され、クッション体の外周に沿って伸び、クッション体の外周から離れた面である外壁を有するインサートと、
クッション体の外周部分と接着されているカバーの縁と、そして
カバーとクッションに適合することができるサイズと形状を有するクッション支持壁であって、カバーの縁を内側に収納できるクッション支持壁、
とから成るシート用クッション。 - 第1の型部分と第2の型部分によって画成されるシート用型の空洞を準備するステップと、
第1の型部分内にカバーを配置するステップと、
当該シート用型の空洞内に配置されるインサートであって、第1の型部分の外周周辺に伸び、第1の型部分およびカバーから離れて配置される外壁を持ったインサートを配置するステップと、
型の空洞を形成するために第2の型部分を第1の型部分に固定するステップと、
空洞内において第1の発泡密度を有する発泡体と、第1の発泡密度よりも高い第2の発泡密度を有する発泡した外周部分を形成するために、樹脂材料を発泡させるステップ、
とから成るカバー付シート用クッションの製造方法であって、
前記カバーが、発泡した外周部分に接着された縁を有していることを特徴とする製造方法。
