Abstract
【解決手段】 電動モータ36の回転駆動によってボール螺子軸45を回転させて、複数のボール54を介して軸方向へ直線移動するボールナット46を有すると共に、該ボールナットと制御軸32との間を連係する連係アーム47及びリンク部材48とを備えている。前記ボールナット46の端縁と第2ボールベアリング51の外輪51aに第1、第2スプリングリテーナ61,62を設けると共に、該両スプリングリテーナ間に弾持されたコイルスプリング60のばね力によってボールナットを一方向へ押圧してバックラッシを吸収するようにした。

Description
機関運転状態に応じて前記ロッカアームの揺動支点を変化させることにより、揺動カムのカム面のバルブリフター上面に対する当接位置を変化させて機関弁のバルブリフトを可変にするように構成されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の可変動弁装置のアクチュエータ。

Claims (3)
- 機関運転状態に応じて制御軸の回転位置を制御することによって、バルブスプリングにより閉方向に付勢された機関弁の作動状態を変化させる可変機構を備えた可変動弁装置のアクチュエータであって、
外周にねじ部が形成された出力軸を機関の運転状態に応じて回転駆動制御する回転付与機構と、
前記出力軸の外周に設けられて、該出力軸の回転に伴い前記ねじ部を介して軸方向へ移動する移動ナットと、
前記制御軸と移動ナットとの間に揺動自在に連結されて、前記移動ナットの軸方向の移動を回転運動に変換して前記制御軸に伝達する伝達機構と、
前記機関弁の作動変化の少なくとも所定の制御範囲において、前記移動ナットと出力軸のいずれか一方を、他方の部材に対して軸方向へ付勢する付勢手段とを備えたことを特徴とする可変動弁装置のアクチュエータ。 - 前記付勢手段をコイルスプリングによって構成すると共に、該コイルスプリングばねの両端部を軸方向から弾持する一対のスプリングリテーナを設け、該両スプリングリテーナの内周側に、前記各コイルスプリングの内周側に配置された円筒状の突起部を一体に設け、該両突起部の軸方向の長さを、前記コイルスプリングが所定範囲まで圧縮変形した際に、該両突起部の対向する両先端縁が軸方向から互いに突き当たる長さに設定したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可変動弁装置のアクチュエータ。
- 前記可変機構は、機関運転状態に応じて前記機関弁のバルブリフト特性を変化させる構成とする一方、前記付勢手段は、前記バルブリフト量が少なくとも所定以上に大きく制御された時点から付勢力を付与するように構成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可変動弁装置のアクチュエータ。
