Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sorting apparatus and a sorting method suitable for use in sorting sintered bodies having a ring shape or a cylindrical shape, such as sintered magnets.
Sintered magnets such as ferrite magnets, samarium-cobalt magnets, neodymium-iron-boron magnets, etc., which have a ring shape or a cylindrical shape, are isotropic, bipolar anisotropy depending on the direction of magnetization orientation , Radial anisotropy, multipolar anisotropy and the like.
The magnetic material forming these magnets is mainly composed of ceramics and intermetallic compounds that cause brittle fracture close to ceramics, and has brittle properties. In addition, since the thermal shrinkage (expansion) rate of these magnetic materials has anisotropy depending on the crystal orientation direction, cracks are likely to occur after sintering, particularly in the case of anisotropic sintered magnets.
Since the cracked magnet is inferior in mechanical strength, it is inspected and excluded as a defective product.
As a method of inspecting the occurrence of cracks in the magnet, visual inspection and inspection using a magnifying glass are common, but in these inspection methods relying on vision, small cracks, cracks on the inner surface, etc. This is not a reliable method.
In order to increase the inspection accuracy, there is a so-called color check method using a developing solution, but even with this method, cracks on the inner diameter surface are difficult to visually identify, particularly when the inner diameter is small. In addition, this method requires time and effort for cleaning the developer after the inspection, and is not suitable for 100% inspection.
As an inspection method that does not rely on visual inspection, there is a destructive inspection method in which a certain force is applied to a magnet, and the presence or absence of a crack is determined based on whether or not the magnet is broken.
As shown in FIG. 9, there is a method in which a conical jig 1 is pushed into one end of an inner diameter portion 3 of a
However, in this method, since the inner diameter portion 3 is not a perfect circle, the jig 1 and the inner diameter portion 3 are in point contact, and the force concentrates on the point contact portion, and it is difficult to spread it uniformly. . For example, when a crack exists on the other end side (the lower side in FIG. 9) of the inner diameter portion 3, the
As another destructive inspection method, there is a method using hydrostatic pressure. For example, a method of applying pressure to a magnet by injecting high-pressure water in a state where both ends of an inner diameter portion of a ring-shaped or cylindrical ceramic are closed. (For example, refer patent document 1.) There is also a method of applying pressure to the inner diameter part of a cylindrical ceramic part by injecting a pressure medium into an annular tube (for example, refer to patent document 2).
According to these methods using hydrostatic pressure, pressure can be uniformly applied to the inner diameter portion, and a highly reliable result can be obtained.
However, in the method described in Patent Document 1, it is necessary to close both ends of the inner diameter portion in order to inject high-pressure water, which takes time and is inefficient for 100% inspection. In addition, since the product gets wet with water, a drying process or the like is required thereafter, which also takes time.
On the other hand, according to the method described in
In this way, in the conventional method, ring-shaped and cylindrical sintered magnets cannot be inspected with high accuracy and efficiency, and in the case of mass production of magnets, the entire inspection is performed itself. However, it was difficult to do so.
The present invention was made on the basis of such a technical problem, and a sorting device capable of inspecting and sorting a sintered body such as a ring-shaped or cylindrical sintered magnet with high accuracy and efficiency, The object is to provide a sorting method.
In order to achieve this object, an elastic body is inserted into a hole formed in the center of the sintered body having a circular cross section in one direction, and this elastic body is pressed in the direction in which the holes continue to press the hole. The present inventors have found that it is effective to inspect whether a crack or the like is generated in the sintered body by deforming in the radial direction and applying pressure from the elastic body to the sintered body.
Here, in order to deform the elastic body, it is preferable to press the elastic body in the direction in which the holes are continuous by applying a load through the solid. As means for applying a load to the elastic body through the solid, there are means by expansion and contraction of an air cylinder, a hydraulic cylinder, etc., and a means for pushing the solid through a rod or the like with a servo motor or the like. A solid is pushed by these mechanical load generating means, and a load is applied to the elastic body. Here, if the direction in which the solid is pushed is a direction in which the holes of the sintered body are continuous, the elastic body is deformed in a direction orthogonal to this direction. By bringing the elastic body into contact with the sintered body, point contact can be prevented and pressure can be applied uniformly.
Thus, when the elastic body inserted into the hole of the sintered body is pressed in the direction in which the holes continue, the elastic body is deformed in the radial direction of the hole, and pressure is applied to the inner peripheral surface of the hole of the sintered body. Join. At this time, if cracks or voids are generated in the sintered body or the strength is insufficient, the sintered body breaks. Thereby, it becomes possible to perform a defect inspection of the sintered body, a strength test, and the like.
The sorting device of the present invention based on such knowledge is a sorting device for a sintered body having an annular cross section in which a hole continuous in one direction is formed in the central portion. A supply mechanism that supplies the predetermined inspection position one by one, a test mechanism that performs a predetermined test on the sintered body that is supplied to the inspection position by the supply mechanism, and an inspection position firing based on the result of the test in the test mechanism. A sorting mechanism that sorts out the union into a non-defective product and a defective product, and the test mechanism is inserted into a set surface on which the sintered body is set and a hole in the sintered body set on the set surface. A solid elastic body, and an elastic body deformation mechanism that applies pressure to the sintered body in a state where the elastic body is deformed and the outer peripheral surface thereof is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the hole of the sintered body. It is characterized by that.
In such a test mechanism, a solid elastic body is inserted into the hole of the sintered body set on the set surface and deformed, and the outer peripheral surface is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the hole of the sintered body. Then, pressure is applied to the sintered body. If there are defects such as cracks and voids in the sintered body, the sintered body has a lower strength than a sintered body without defects. Therefore, by setting the set value of the pressure applied to the sintered body to a value that does not break if there is no defect in the sintered body, the sintered body that is damaged before reaching the set value has a defect. It can be determined that it exists.
Here, the elastic body is preferably made of a rubber-based material, and the rubber hardness Hs is preferably 40 ≦ Hs ≦ 70. This is because if the hardness is too low, when the elastic body is deformed, it tends to protrude outside from the hole of the sintered body, and if the hardness is too high, a large load must be applied to deform the elastic body.
In addition, a plate with a predetermined thickness is provided between the elastic body and the set surface, which prevents the elastic body from protruding from the gap between the sintered body and the set surface when the elastic body is deformed. it can. For the same purpose, it is also effective to form a chamfered portion on at least one outer peripheral edge portion on the set surface side and the opposite side of the elastic body.
After the elastic body is inserted into the hole of the sintered body held on the set surface, protrudes upward from the upper surface of the sintered body in a state before starting deformation by the elastic body deformation mechanism, and after starting deformation In this state, it is preferable to set the dimension (height) so as to be pushed to a level substantially equal to or lower than the upper surface of the sintered body and to contact almost the entire surface of the sintered body when deformed in the radial direction. This prevents the elastic body from protruding from the upper side of the sintered body.
Further, the sorting device may further include a biasing member that biases the sintered body toward the set surface in a state after the deformation by the elastic body deformation mechanism is started. That is, when a coil spring is used as the biasing member, the sintered body is biased toward the set surface by the coil spring being compressed in a state after starting deformation by the elastic body deformation mechanism. . As a result, after the elastic body is deformed and pressure is applied to the sintered body, the sintered body sticks to the elastic body, and when the elastic body is pulled out from the hole of the sintered body, the sintered body is lifted up. Can be prevented.
The present invention also applies pressure to the sintered body by deforming the elastic body in the radial direction of the hole by pressing the elastic body set in the hole of the sintered body with a pressing jig in the direction in which the holes continue. A determination unit that determines whether or not a defect exists in the sintered body, and a selection unit that sorts out the sintered body into a non-defective product and a defective product based on the determination result in the determination unit. It can also be understood as a characteristic sorting device.
At this time, in the determination part, it can be determined whether a defect exists in a sintered compact based on the load when pressing an elastic body. More specifically, the sintered body has a defect based on at least one of the elapsed time from the start of pressing the elastic body, the stroke amount of the pushing jig when pressing the elastic body, and the load when pressing the elastic body. It can be determined whether or not it exists. In other words, even if the elapsed time from the start of pressing the elastic body with the pressing jig reaches a predetermined set time, the load when pressing the elastic body with the pressing jig cannot be obtained, or the elastic body is pressed with the pressing jig. Even if the stroke amount when pressing reaches a predetermined amount, if the load when pressing the elastic body with a push jig cannot be obtained, the load does not increase further because the sintered body is cracked, It is determined that a defect has occurred in the sintered body.
According to such a method, unlike various strength testing machines such as a normal tensile testing machine, it is not necessary to determine whether or not the sintered body is cracked by analyzing the displacement of the load, which is very simple. Cracks in the sintered body can be detected by the configuration and logic.
Further, such a sorting apparatus further includes a supply unit that intermittently supplies the sintered body one by one to the determination unit, and the determination unit makes a determination every time the sintered body is supplied by the supply unit. By performing, it is possible to continuously test and sort a plurality of sintered bodies.
Here, in the determination part, it is also possible to apply a pressure simultaneously with respect to a some sintered compact. In this case, the supply unit and the selection unit also need to be able to handle a plurality of sintered bodies simultaneously (in parallel).
Since the present invention performs sorting for a sintered body having an annular cross section in which a hole continuous in one direction is formed in the central portion, it can also be understood as a sorting method executed in a sorting apparatus. In this method, the elastic body set in the holes of the sintered body is pressed in the direction in which the holes continue, deformed in the radial direction of the holes, pressure is applied to the sintered body, and the load applied to the elastic body at that time A step of determining whether a defect exists in the sintered body based on the detected load, and a step of discharging the sintered body based on the determined result. Features.
At this time, in the determining step, it is preferable to determine whether or not a defect exists in the sintered body based on whether or not the load reaches a preset set load.
According to the present invention, it becomes possible to inspect a sintered body such as a ring-shaped or cylindrical sintered magnet with high accuracy and efficiency, and in the case of mass production, the entire number inspection is surely performed. Can do.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 are diagrams for explaining the configuration of an inspection / sorting device (sorting device) 10 in the present embodiment.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the inspection /
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
The
The
Further, the
In order to inspect the
At this time, the load applied to the
In such an
Actually, the linearity (correlation) between the load applied to the
In addition, the
In order to prevent the
First, as shown in FIG. 4, it is effective to chamfer the upper and lower outer peripheral edge portions (chamfered portions) 22 b and 22 c of the
Further, as shown in FIG. 5, a
By the way, in the process in which the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
The
The
In the inspection /
First, the
After the positioning is completed, the
Now, after the
At this time, the load acting on the
When the
That is, when it is determined in step S102 that the load detected by the load cell has reached a predetermined set load, the
Therefore, when it can be determined that the load has reached the set load, the lowering of the
Then, the
For this purpose, the
On the other hand, if the load detected by the load cell has not reached the set load in step S102, then, whether or not the movement stroke of the
When it is determined in step S105 that at least one of the position and elapsed time of the
Therefore, the lowering of the
Further, the
By performing such processing every time the
As described above, in the inspection /
Further, since the
In addition, the quality of the

And the
The results are shown in Table 1.

Moreover, when the material of Hs = 80 was used for the
Thus, it can be seen that it is preferable to use a material of Hs = 40 to 70 for the

From this, it was revealed that the presence or absence of cracks can be determined with high accuracy by appropriately setting the set load.
Furthermore, the

Among them, 100
