Abstract
【解決手段】電子機器は、本体120と、ディスプレイ110と、ポインティングデバイス200とを備えている。フラットパネルディスプレイ112を特徴とし、このディスプレイは、本体130に回転自在に結合され、本体上を変位されるように構成されている。ポインティングデバイスは、本体の第1本体の縁に位置決めされている。このポインティングデバイスは、電子機器およびディスプレイのすべての位置でアクセス可能であるとともにディスプレイによって覆われない。

Description
図1を参照すると、「タブレット(TABLET)」位置に配置される電子機器100の例示的な実施の形態の側面図が示されている。ここでは、電子機器100は、結合部材(図示せず)を介して本体120に回転自在に取り付けられるディスプレイ110を備えている。ここでは、電子機器100は、第1の(ポートレイト)位置に配置されているディスプレイ110を伴なったタブレットコンピュータとして機能する。
図11〜図16は、タブレットPCとしての使用からポータブルコンピュータへと変化される電子機器100の実施の形態を示している。これは、以下に記述されるように、ディスプレイ110の回転および変位によって達成される。
図17を参照すると、電子機器100のフラットパネルディスプレイ112の一部分、あるいは、全体に配置されるカバー600の実施の形態が示されている。一般に、このカバー600は、力が材料に加えられるとき、電子機器100が、そのような力が加えられるフラットパネルディスプレイ112上の領域を検出することが可能である材料で作られている。例えば、カバー600は、アクリル樹脂で作られることができる。
Claims (10)
- 本体と、
水平回転およびスライド可能に前記本体に取り付けられるディスプレイと、
前記本体に配置され、前記ディスプレイの回転およびスライドにかかわらずアクセス可能であるポインティングデバイスと、
を具備することを特徴とする電子機器。 - 前記本体は第1本体と第2本体とを含み、前記ポインティングデバイスは該第1本体に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電子機器。
- 前記第1本体と前記第2本体とを回動自在に結合するヒンジと、
前記ディスプレイを水平に回転およびスライドするように前記第2本体と前記ディスプレイとを結合する結合部材と、
を備えていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の電子機器。 - 前記第1本体にはキーボードが設けられ、
前記ディスプレイは、前記キーボードを覆う第1位置と前記キーボードの少なくとも一部を露出する第2位置との間で前記結合部材を介して回転可能であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電子機器。 - 前記ディスプレイは、前記第2位置と前記キーボードを完全に露出する第3位置との間で前記結合部材を介して水平に変位可能であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の電子機器。
- 前記ディスプレイが前記第1位置と前記第2位置とにあるとき前記第1本体に対する前記第2本体の回動は規制され、前記ディスプレイが前記第3位置にあるとき前記第1本体に対する前記第2本体の回動が許容されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電子機器。
- 第1本体と、この第1本体に回動可能に結合される第2本体とを有する本体と、
前記本体の上に設けられており、前記第1本体に対する前記第2本体の回動を規制する第1位置と前記第1本体に対する前記第2本体の回動を可能にする第2位置とに配置されるディスプレイと、
前記ディスプレイを前記第1位置と前記第2位置との間で移動可能に本体と前記ディスプレイとを結合する結合部材と、
前記第1本体に設けられ、前記ディスプレイが前記第1位置および前記第2位置にかかわらずアクセス可能なポインティングデバイスと、
を備えたことを特徴とする電子機器。 - 第1本体と、この第1本体に回動可能に結合される第2本体とを有する本体と、
結合部材と、
前記結合部材を介して前記本体に結合され、前記第1本体および前記第2本体に重なる第1位置と、前記第1本体を露出して前記第1本体に重なるとともに前記第1本体と前記第2本体との回動を許容する第2位置との間で移動可能に設けられるディスプレイと、
前記第1本体に設けられ、前記ディスプレイが前記第1位置および前記第2位置にかかわらずアクセス可能なポインティングデバイスと、
を具備することを特徴とする電子機器。 - 前記第1部分には、前記ディスプレイが第1位置にあるとき前記ディスプレイに覆われ、前記ディスプレイが前記第2位置にあるとき露出されるキーボードが設けられることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の電子機器。
- キーボードを有する第1部分と、この第1部分に回動可能に結合される第2部分とを有する本体と、
前記第2本体に結合される結合部材と、
この結合部材を介して前記本体に結合され、前記結合部材により、前記第1本体および前記第2本体に重なることで前記第1本体と前記第2本体との回動を規制する第1位置と、前記キーボードを露出しタ状態で前記第2本体に重なることで前記第1本体に対する前記第2本体の回動を許容する第2位置との間で移動可能なディスプレイと、
前記第1本体に設けられ、前記ディスプレイが前記第1位置および前記第2位置にかかわらずアクセス可能なポインティングデバイスと、
を具備することを特徴とする電子機器。
