Abstract
Description
【0001】

P型としてBi0.4Sb1.6Te3、Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3など、N型としてBi2Te2.85Se0.15、Bi2Te2.9Se0.1などが好適に使用される。
【0036】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when the Bi-Te thermoelectric conversion element suitably used in the thermoelectric module for electronic cooling utilizing the Peltier effect is used for a long time at an environmental temperature of 80 ° C. or higher, the performance may gradually deteriorate. The present invention relates to a support substrate, a plurality of thermoelectric conversion elements arranged on the support substrate, a wiring conductor that electrically connects the thermoelectric conversion elements, and an external connection that is electrically connected to the wiring conductor. In the thermoelectric conversion module including the terminal, the Sn contained in the solder for joining the lead member to the external connection terminal is not less than 12% by weight and not more than 40% by weight. Therefore, it is possible to provide a thermoelectric conversion module in which electrical connection with high long-term reliability is performed.
[0055]
Moreover, this invention can suppress the reaction rate with a solder because the porosity of the said thermoelectric conversion element is 10% or less, and can improve long-term reliability.
[0056]
Furthermore, the present invention enables wire bonding by bonding a lead wire or a block-shaped body as the lead member, can be easily automated, and can shorten the working time.
[0057]
Furthermore, this invention can acquire a favorable cooling effect because the said thermoelectric conversion element contains at least 1 sort (s) among Bi and Sb and at least 1 sort (s) among Te and Se.
[0058]
Furthermore, according to the present invention, when the surface of the lead member is provided with a coating layer containing at least one of Sn, Ni, Au, Pt, and Co, the wettability with solder is excellent when mounting and bonding to a package or the like. Good bonding strength can be obtained.
[0059]
Furthermore, according to the present invention, since the bonding strength between the external connection terminal and the lead member is 2N or more, the problem that the lead member is detached due to mounting on a package or the like can be eliminated.
[0060]
Furthermore, the present invention provides a highly reliable thermoelectric conversion module by simultaneously performing a step of electrically bonding the plurality of thermoelectric conversion elements arranged on a support substrate and a step of bonding the external connection terminal and the lead member. Can be provided.
[0061]
Furthermore, the present invention spots the lead member by sequentially performing a first step of electrically joining the plurality of thermoelectric conversion elements arranged on the support substrate and a second step of joining the external connection terminal and the lead member. It can be joined by heating, and the lead member joining solder can be different from the thermoelectric conversion element joining solder. By using the solder that reduces the reaction between the lead member joining solder and the element, , Reliability can be improved.
