Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 支持体上のフック頭部にキャップを製造する方法であって、 a)実質的に直立したステム基部により各々が少なくとも部分的に形成される複 数の実質的に直立した突出部の配列を有するウェブ状支持体を備えて、第1の厚 さを有するウェブを準備するステップと、 b)少なくとも1つの第1の加熱された表面部材と少なくとも1つの第2の反 対側の表面部材とを有して、実質的に該ウェブの第1の厚さ以下である第1の入 口間隙幅と実質的に該第1のウェブ厚さ未満である終端間隙幅とにより規定され る圧搾領域が含まれる間隙を規定するニップを準備するステップと、 c)前記少なくとも1つの加熱された表面部材に、該圧搾領域内において少な くとも1つの第1の方向に長手方向に延在する少なくとも1組の峰部および溝部 構造であって、隣接する峰部構造間の平均間隔がステム端部あるいはフック頭部 に直ちに隣接する該ステム基部の平均幅未満であり、隣接する直立したステム基 部間の平均距離に少なくとも匹敵する距離を長手方向に延在させて備える少なく とも1組の峰部および溝部構造を設けるステップと、 d)実質的に直立した突出部の配列の少なくとも頂部が優先的に該加熱された 表面部材により、該少なくとも1組の峰部および溝部構造によって規定される該 少なくとも第1の方向に変形されるように、該ウェブを該圧搾領域内にウェブ通 路に沿って第2の方向に移動して通過させるステップと、 を具備する方法。 2. 2組以上の峰部および溝部構造がある請求項1に記載の方法。 3. 前記少なくとも1組の峰部および溝部構造の峰から谷(溝)までの平均深 さが5〜500ミクロンであり、2〜40個の溝構造が各フック頭部あるいはス テム端部に接触して変形を生じる請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 4. 前記直立した突出部の少なくとも幾つかにステム末端部が設けられ、該末 端部の少なくとも幾つかが、圧搾領域内において該少なくとも1組の峰部および 溝部構造により、方向性を有してフック頭部に変形される請求項1〜3のいずれ か1項に記載の方法。 5. 少なくとも1組の峰部および溝部構造が、前記圧搾領域のうち少なくとも 前記直立の突起部に接触する部分にわたり、該圧搾領域内において前記少なくと も1つの第1の方向に、少なくとも1つの加熱された表面部材を横切って連続的 に延在する請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 6. 前記少なくとも1つの第1の方向が前記第2の方向に対して角度を有し、 前記加熱された表面が該第2の方向に第1の速度で移動し、前記ウェブが該第2 の方向に実質的に同じ第1の速度で移動する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載 の方法。 7. 前記少なくとも1つの第1の方向が前記第2の方向に対して実質的に平行 であり、前記加熱された表面が該第2の方向に第1の速度で移動し、前記ウェブ が該第2の方向に第2の速度で移動する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方 法。 8. 前記圧搾領域が2つ以上の加熱された表面部材を有し、該加 熱された表面部材の少なくとも1つが峰部および溝部構造を備えない請求項1〜 7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 9. 前記直立した突起部が熱可塑性樹脂から形成される請求項1〜8のいずれ か1項に記載の方法。 10. 前記第2の方向に対する前記第1の方向の角度が前記溝の長さに沿って 変化する請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 11. 前記間隙幅が前記圧搾領域内の任意部分で実質的に直線的に減少する請 求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 12. キャップ付フック頭部を備えた複数のフック構造により形成されるメカ ニカルファスナであって、ステム基部とキャップ付フック頭部とを含む複数の直 立したフック素子を備える支持体を具備し、該フック頭部の少なくとも一部の縦 横アスペクト比が少なくとも1.1であり、該フック頭部が少なくとも1つの肉 厚領域と少なくとも1つの肉薄領域とをその縦方向に延在して有するメカニカル ファスナ。 13. 前記キャップ付フック頭部上に4〜20個の肉厚領域がある請求項12 に記載のメカニカルファスナ。 14. 前記キャップ付フック頭部が実質的に平坦で平らな上面を有する請求項 12に記載のメカニカルファスナ。 15. 前記直立したフック素子が熱可塑性樹脂で形成され、前記 支持体が同じ熱可塑性樹脂で形成され、前記キャップ付フック頭部が少なくとも 1.5のアスペクト比を有する、細長いキノコ型キャップ、T型あるいはJ型の 形状であり、前記ステム基部が該支持体から80〜100度の角度で延出する請 求項12〜14のいずれか1項に記載のメカニカルファスナ。 16. 前記キャップ付頭部を備えたメカニカルファスナフック構造の高さが0 .1〜1.3mmであり、キャップ付フック構造の密度が1cm2あたり60か ら1600個であり、前記ステム基部の該キャップ付頭部に隣接する直径が0. 07〜0.7mmであり、前記キャップ付頭部が少なくとも平均0.01〜0. 3mmだけ該ステム基部の少なくとも1側部から突出し、該キャップ付フック頭 部の平均厚さが0.01〜0.3mmである請求項12〜15のいずれか1項に 記載のメカニカルファスナ。
