Description
Descrizione dell'Invenzione Industriale dal titolo: Description of the Industrial Invention entitled:
The present invention relates to a positive yarn feeder for textile machines equipped with a coil separator device.
It is known to feed yarn to a textile machine, for example, a knitting machine, by means of a so-called "positive" yarn feeder such as that described for example in EP 2218 670A. In this type of feeder, the yarn is wound on a rotating drum driven into rotation by a motor controlled in speed by a feedback loop. The latter receives a mechanical tension signal from a load cell incorporated in the feeder itself, and precisely modulates the motor speed in order to maintain the yarn tension (which depends on the difference between the feeding speed and the absorption by the downstream machine) substantially constant on a preset value.
The importance of keeping the coils wound on the drum spaced axially from each other is well known to the skilled in the art, in order to avoid sliding and overlapping between contiguous coils which can compromise the accuracy of the tension control. For this purpose, the yarn is currently wound between the drum and a rod extending from the body of the feeder in a slightly inclined direction towards the axis of the drum. During the rotation of the drum, the tension of the yarn itself causes the coils, which are gradually wound at the internal ends of the drum and the rod, to slide progressively towards the external axial ends, from which they will unwind, thus avoiding ¬ overlaps and contacts between successive turns.
This system for separating the turns, based on the slipping of the yarn on a fixed rod, however, has some drawbacks.
In particular, every time a yarn is replaced with another having characteristics in terms of coefficient of friction, elasticity, etc., it is necessary to manually adjust the inclination of the rod, typically by trial and error, with rather awkward operations and laborious, as well as time-consuming.
Furthermore, the pitch between successive turns is often rather irregular, given the intrinsic irregularity of some yarns, this circumstance obliging a conservative approach in adjusting the inclination of the bar. In practice, the rod is always kept slightly more inclined than theoretically necessary, with a consequent increase in the average pitch between the turns and a corresponding reduction in the number of windings on the drum. This circumstance is unwelcome since, as is well known to those skilled in the art, the lower the number of windings, the greater the risk of the yarn slipping on the drum, consequently compromising the accuracy of the tension control.
In addition, the friction between the yarn and the rod often causes the yarn to loosen, especially at low tensions, with further negative repercussions on the tension control system.
Last but not least, as is well known to those skilled in the art, the winding geometry of the traditional coil separation system is operationally incompatible with most metal wires, eg copper wires intended for the manufacture of electric coils.
Therefore, the main object of the invention is to provide a positive yarn feeder for textile machines equipped with a coil separator device capable of solving the aforementioned drawbacks of the traditional system, while maintaining relatively low manufacturing costs.
The aforesaid objects and other advantages, which will clearly emerge from the following description, are achieved by the positive yarn feeder having the characteristics set out in claim 1, while the dependent claims define other advantageous characteristics of the invention, even if secondary ones.
Si descriverà ora in maggior dettaglio il trovato con riferimento ad alcune sue realizzazioni preferite ma non esclusive, illustrate a titolo d'esempio non limitativo negli uniti disegni, in cui: The invention will now be described in greater detail with reference to some of its preferred but not exclusive embodiments, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:
- la Fig. 1 Ã ̈ una vista frontale di un alimentatore di filato positivo secondo il trovato; - Fig. 1 is a front view of a positive yarn feeder according to the invention;
- Fig. 2 is a side elevation view of the positive yarn feeder of Fig. 1.
With reference to the aforementioned Figures, a positive yarn feeder 10 comprises a molded body or shell 12 which houses a first electric motor 14 on whose shaft 15 a winding drum or first drum 16 is keyed. to receive yarn Y coming from a cone R (only schematized in Fig.1) near its internal axial end.
Before reaching the drum 16, the yarn Y is subjected to a static braking action designed to keep it slightly under tension, applied to it by a braking disk 18 (known per se) fixed to the shell 12.
The yarn Y is repeatedly wound between the first drum 16 and a return member which, according to the invention, consists of a second revolving drum 20 supported by the frame 12 and arranged with an axis inclined with respect to the axis of the first drum 16.
Advantageously, in the illustrated embodiment, the axes of the two drums lie on the same plane and are mutually inclined so as to converge towards the external axial ends of the drums.
Inoltre, nella realizzazione qui descritta i due tamburi ruotano nello stesso senso indicato dalle frecce A1 e A2 in Fig. 1, ed il filato Y Ã ̈ avvolto in spire anulari quali L. Advantageously, the second drum 20 is also motorized and, for this purpose, it is keyed onto the shaft 21 of a respective electric motor 22. Furthermore, in the embodiment described here the two drums rotate in the same direction indicated by the arrows A1 and A2 in Fig. 1, and the yarn Y is wound in annular turns such as L.
The yarn Y exiting the drums 16, 20 passes through a motorized recovery device 24, which in the example described is of the type illustrated in the previous co-pending patent application No. TO2012A000261 of the Applicant, therefore it engages a load cell 26 arranged to measure the tension of the output yarn, also known in itself, and finally it is fed to the downstream machine M (only schematized in Fig.1).
In a per se known manner, the first motor 14 is driven by a feedback loop (not shown), which receives a mechanical voltage signal from the load cell 26 and modulates the speed of the first drum 16 so as to maintain the yarn tension (which depends on the difference between the feeding speed and the absorption speed by the downstream machine) substantially constant on a preset value.
Vantaggiosamente, la velocità angolare ω2del secondo tamburo 20 à ̈ legata alla velocità angolare ω1del primo tamburo 16 dalla relazione Advantageously, the angular velocity Ï ‰ 2 of the second drum 20 is linked to the angular velocity Ï ‰ 1 of the first drum 16 by the relation
ω2= K ۰ω1, Ï ‰ 2 = K Û ° Ï ‰ 1,
dove K Ã ̈ una costante prestabilita. where K is a predetermined constant.
The constant K can be chosen in order to compensate for any differences in diameter between the drums if you want to have the same winding speed (tangential speed) on both drums, and / or according to the type of yarn.
For example, depending on the elasticity of the yarn, it may be useful for the winding speed of the second drum to be slightly higher or lower than the tangential speed of the first drum, in order to keep the yarn wound between the two drums slightly under tension or slightly slack. In this case, the constant K is preferably in the range 0.8 and 1.2.
In case you want to make the drums rotate at the same speed, of course the constant K will be chosen equal to 1.
The control unit CU of the power supply (only schematized in Fig. 2) is preferably housed inside the shell 12 and is programmable by means of a display 28 and buttons 30 illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2. The programming of the control unit falls within the normal knowledge of the person skilled in the art and therefore will not be detailed here.
In use, due to the inclination of the second drum with respect to the first drum, during winding the coils advance progressively from the internal axial ends to the converging external axial ends of the drums, from which they will unwind, thus avoiding overlapping and contact between coils following.
Since the winding of the turns takes place substantially without sliding as both drums rotate, unlike what happens with traditional systems, the device for separating the turns described does not require continuous adjustments as the characteristics of the yarn vary, in particular the its elasticity and its coefficient of friction, with consequent advantages in terms of flexibility and ease of use.
Moreover, for the same reason just described, with the feeder according to the invention the distance between the turns is more regular and uniform and it is therefore possible to wind a greater number of turns between the drums, with consequent advantages in terms of adhesion of the yarn. to the drums and, ultimately, the precision of the tension control.
The possibility of adjusting the speeds of the two drums independently, as well as the absence of sliding and abrupt deviations in the winding geometry makes the device according to the invention highly versatile in relation to use with various types of yarn, including threads. metallic.
A preferred embodiment of the invention has been described, but naturally the person skilled in the art can make various modifications and variations within the scope of the claims. For example, for some applications the second drum 20, instead of being motorized, could be idle supported and rotated by adherence to the yarn itself. Furthermore, the axes of the two drums could be arranged inclined to each other so as to converge towards the internal axial ends of the drums, or even be skewed to each other. Furthermore, certain components such as the braking disk 18 and the motorized braking / recovery device 24 are to be understood as useful but not indispensable for the realization of the invention. The same load cell 26, instead of being incorporated in the power supply device, could constitute a separate component and be installed downstream of the same. Nevertheless, although in the embodiment described the two drums have the same diameter, they could also have very different diameters. Furthermore, the two drums could also rotate in opposite directions and the yarn, instead of being wound in annular turns, be wound in turns having an "8" profile. In addition, both drums could be driven by a single motor via a mechanical transmission, e.g., by gears.
