Abstract

The disc (20) is mounted at the outer end of a U-shaped support bracket (12) which straddles the wheel (2). The disc can be adjusted to cut into the ground with controlled depth and follows the movements of a steerable wheel. The depth setting of the disc is controlled by a servo arm. The U-bracket is pivoted about a horizontal axis (10) at the edge of the wheel.
