An adjustable resiliently mounted vehicle seat 7 is supported by a bowed spring 3, which has one end secured to the vehicle, an intermediate substantially semi-circular arc-shaped part 5, which extends rearwardly and upwardly from the fixed end, and a free end 3<SP>1</SP> or 10 which extends obliquely forward and downward. The spring end 10, Fig. 3, is hinged at 11 to the arc-shaped part 5 to enable the seat to be moved to an out-ofuse position, and an adjusting screw 13 is incorporated to alter the position of the spring part 10 in the turned-down position. The seat 7 is adjustable along the length of the spring parts 3 and 5 or 10 and locked in position by a cam-lever 8, or a tooth catch engaging one of several notches in the spring parts.
