In a rake-wheel type of haymaking machine wherein the rakewheels 3 are mounted on cranks 2 on a main beam 1 which is fixed to the three-point linkage 47, 48, 49 of a tractor so as to be immovable relatively thereto, the cranks are capable of being secured in either of two angular settings with respect to the beam corresponding to side-delivery and tedding respectively and opposite sides of the rake-wheels are encountered by the crop in the two positions. The range of angular movement between the two positions lies between 45 degrees and 110 degrees. The main beam comprises two beams 4, 5 hinged together about a vertical pivot 6 so that the foremost beam can be swung to extend parallel to the side of the tractor, for transport. The rear beam is fixed to a frame 7, 8 suspended from the hitch-links 47, 48, 49, the frame being mounted on a single ground wheel 46 (Fig. 3) adjustable in height through a pivoted arm 42 and sector 40. Each rake wheel crank 2 is mounted in a horizontal bearing 18 (Fig. 5) pivotable about a pin 19 in a quadrant-shaped plate 20 secured to the beams 4, 5. The bearing is integral with a lug 21 which can be pinned to the quadrant in an adjusted position. Integral with each bearing 18 is an arm 24 from the end of which the crank is suspended by springs 31, 32 encircling a rod 26.
