Abstract
971,641. Moulding dough. A. NIESCHER. May 25, 1961 [May 25, 1960], No. 18997/61. Heading B5A. In the formation of layered biscuits, and other laminated dough pieces, dough 4 is fed from a hopper 3 by a fluted roller 5 into moulding cavities 2 in a forming cylinder 1, and dough shapes 7 are transferred from the cavities 2 by an endless suction belt 8 to perforations 12 in a rotary hollow cylinder 11 where a layer 17 of additional dough or other mixture 16 is applied to each shape 7. The mixture 16 is fed axially into the cylinder 11 and is spread on the shapes 7 by an adjustable strickle 15. The shapes 7, 17 are extracted from the perforations 12 by the belt 8, and if sandwich type biscuits are required further dough shapes 23, moulded in cavities in a forming cylinder 19, are applied to the shapes 7, 17.
