Abstract

968,871. Casings for electric motors. ELECTROLUX A.B. Jan. 20, 1961 [Jan. 20, 1960 (2)], No. 2339/61. Heading H2A. A motor end-shield is located by pressed down spigots engaging recesses in or associated with the stator stack. As shown in Fig. 5 a part 16 is pressed into a hole in the core through which a bolt 18 also passes. In a modification the edge of the stack is indented radially and the edge of the end-shield pressed into these slots (Figs. 6, 7 and 8, not shown). As shown in Fig. 11, spigots 118 are pressed from the endshield to enter the dilated ends of hollow stator rivets 115. In an alternative form (Figs. 12 and 13, not shown), the projecting end of the hollow rivet is notched and engaged by tabs pressed out of the end-shield.
